Went with a bunch of teens kids , we were dropped off by uber in the front ,the parking attendant directed us we didn't have an issue since parking is an additional fee . My issue was booking the time slot I checked in the morning it said everything was sold out tell 11pm it was really late for us , but it would be the only day we would be able to find time to go , After I booked my slot a friend ask if they could join , I went to book the tickets and all the time slot is available! And it said we couldn't change the time unless it was a few hours in advance and we were planning to go the same night . We arrived at 11pm , the fire dancer were gone , everyone looked tired . It was nice to go with a group of friends , or else you would be bored . The overall experience could have been better !Tickets should be allowed to buy in person , online has all these extra fees.

If you're going here, shelling up an extra 20 dollars for the fast pass is going to be worth every dollar as the lines can get really long. There are 4 courses (i guess that's what you call them), and the mine shaft completely outshines the rest. Using the pitch black to create psychological fear is peak haunted house trickery in my opinion. Everyone was terrified and a bunch of people were scaring each other simply by bumping into one another and just not being able to see anything at all. Who knew the cheapest trick, which is zero light, could be the most effective at scaring people. The other 3 courses were decent, the worst one is definitely the outside one. Felt like you're just walking through an open market halloween store for most of the time. Props felt cheap, out of place, not really scary tbh. It was definitely a dudThe 2 carnival games were terrible to say the least. The bean bags you're supposed to throw to knock down the teeth all have different weight to them and are really used down. The bow and arrow game is hard to win as you only get 3 tries to hit a pretty specific target and the only thing you win are 2 pieces of candy..

Being specific. Rating is 3.5It is not a 4. I've been going to heartstoppers every year since 2019 (minus 2020). It was really good the first few times. This last time felt very bland. First off. The 10 minute play before you enter is great. Hats off to those actors. They do a great job setting the stage and creating mystique. Now for the everything else. Seems awfully cheap it cost an extra $20 for fast pass. And it includes 2 generic carnival game tickets. I'm sure that's to boost that price. I'll gladly pay $10 for fast pass. There's only 2 carnival games too. Atleast make it more creative. The 4 haunts. Ward - it's a bland grey hallway. There could be more creativity here to resemble a psych ward. In the past there was a guy in a straight jacket. A girl chained to a bed. Etc. tonight it was mostly just people screaming. This was a dud. Deadlands- at one point it was a wild west themed bar and brothel with a girl on a bed. The brothel is gone. It's just a wooden barn walkway. There is a bar scene. But it's really meh. Blightwoods - to their credit. There's only so much you can do with this open space. It did resemble a forest. But there was barely any actors. Mine - this was probably the best. It was long. It was dark. Has some creative elements. But there's barely any actors. Pretty meh. I liked the play. But aside from that probably not coming back after this

I had the pleasure of previously visiting Fright Kingdom in Nashua, New Hampshire. Unfortunately, their budget and overall ability to curate a horror house is more apparent than Heartstoppers Haunted House. Heartstoppers was still fun. Actors were definitely great. The overall experience was just not as scary I would have liked, and that might be due to the venue and smaller budget for hiring actors + expanding each haunted house. There were 4 "houses" and we unfortunately went from best to worst. The asylum was great! The mineshaft was the most disappointing, but it was the one my friends and I chose to do last... so unfortunate. Went with a group of 8... but it's better to split up into pairs or groups of 4, since it's harder to be scared when your friends were already scared 2 seconds ago, haha. The staff didn't let us split into pairs, but next time I'll just say we're a group of 4 wanting to split into 2... LOL. My group all got the "fancy pants" tickets (fast pass), but these tickets were a tad *too* fast... Luckily, the each Fancy Pants ticket came with 2 carnival game tickets (4 games total: basketball, shooter, bean bag toss, idr the last one). Heartstoppers also had a few actresses/actors wandering the carnival ground to keep you on your toes. Between the carnival and haunted houses also had some neat performers: a team of talents playing with fire and an acrobat hanging from the tree. Before we left, my boyfriend and I gave the drinks a try, but they were not good at all :( Straight up apple syrup in lemonade but too strong on the sugar.

It's not Halloween for me unless I visit at least one haunted house! Heartstoppers Haunted House was my choice this year and I'm glad it was! It is located in Rancho Cordova right before you reach the Nimbus Winery. We bought the VIP/Fast Passes for 9pm on a Saturday and I'm glad we did because the place was sold out. I'm too old in wait in lines unless I'm at Disneyland of course. There were 4 haunted houses - Misery Mine, The Ward, Blightwoods and Deadlands. We checked out Misery Mine first and it made us jump a couple of times - there was total darkness (because we were in a mine) at one point and the train part scared me! I also liked being outdoors for Blightwoods and loved the creepy witches - The Ward was also a great one too.I thought the haunted houses were done really well and they even had a couple of carnival games and photo ops. They even had 2 live bands - 1 inside and 1 outside. Lots of character actors walk around too and they even have merchandise to buy as well as drinks. They also had a couple of vendors selling homemade items. I bought some candy corn earrings and a couple of horror movie stickers.I will definitely be checking them out again next year to see what new themes they come up with!

It was an awesome experience perfect way to celebrate Halloween. I look forward to going next year. My only criticism is that they need more carnival games.

This is a fun event to attend during October. Before you even go in the building for the scares, there is stuff to do. There are actors in costumes who walk around outside the building. There are some children in on this too (in costumes). There is a 10 minute saloon show that goes each hour. I'd recommend getting the earliest time slot since you can go in later, just not early. They do check your bags and have a metal detector before you can enter. Once inside, there are 4 different scary themed rooms to enter. One is indoors. The rest are all outdoors. The themes change each year. The one indoors was hospital themed. The actors for that one were really fun and committed. One of the outside ones was an underground maze in the dark. We were in a group of 6 and the split us up. We kept getting lost and couldn't see anything. This one was the scariest for me. One was western themed and one was witch themed. They don't allow photos inside the scary themed areas so photos were limited. They did have a pillory (the stocks) outside which was cool. Even when you're not in the scary rooms, the actors will wander around looking for a scare. One guy dressed as a bird slid into a photo with us (seen below). They don't have much merchandise to buy. There are stickers and magnets. They have a few vendors inside too and a psychic. There are a few food trucks outside next to the entrance.

I've been to most haunted houses in the bay area, but had never been to any in the Sacramento area. We only had time for one place over the weekend, and I'm so glad we chose Heartstoppers. It was totally worth it, great decor, great costumes, great actors, and so thrilling. There was only one food truck in the carnival area. And they have very limited drink options inside the haunted house bar (no diet beverages, and no alcohol). So I wouldn't recommend coming here to eat/drink.The four haunts for 2022 were Ward, Deadlands, Murk, and Blightwoods. They had pretty diverse and elaborate sets, Blightwoods taking up the most space being mainly outdoors. Murk had a lot of pitch black elements. And Deadlands was definitely the scariest, with constant jump scares from room to room, especially since we went during the first hour before it got crowded on a Saturday. The Fancy Pants admission was definitely worth it. The regular line for entry was super long, which we got to cut all the way to the front... same with all of the haunts inside, very little wait time needed for anything, especially on a Saturday. You also get free carnival tokens with Fancy Pants, but the carnival area closes earlier than the haunted house. Besides the four different haunts, they have actors roaming around, different monsters/characters creeping up on visitors to keep you on your toes (demon on stilts, pumpkin head, etc.). They also have a couple vendors (one with cool horror dolls), and a Tarot Fortune Teller. We tried this, and got to get a question answered for five bucks. She used the witch's tarot, and did a pretty decent job.I wouldn't say the whole experience was perfect, but the Deadlands haunt specifically is one of the best haunts I've experienced in terms of scare factor... every time you think you've escaped a monster, another one's waiting for you in the next room. With the actors and setup, they did a really good job with this one.

Everyone loved the experience! We did all 4 haunts and our favorite was the underground mine shaft haunt. The entire cast and crew of Heartstoppers are incredible people. We had a blast! Looking forward to next time. Great job guys!!
