We walked to the gate from downtown Pleasanton. We attended many other events walking up to this gate. Security told us we had to enter from the other side which meant that we would walk 1.5 miles around plus almost a mile through their parking lots. We were not adding 2.5 miles to our trip. Also there were big no pedestrian signs along the road that the guard told us to take. Seriously? In times when they are trying to encourage walking and public transit why are you making it so difficult to atttend your event?

What a complete waste of money. I don't understand why we need to pay. You pay 10 for parking and 9 adult 4 kid. It's an art and wine festival indoors. I like that people spend their time making products, however paying is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. We spent 30 min total there to only buy dipped ice cream 3 for $22. I will NEVER come back. This was absolutely a waste of time and money. So stupid

The festival had the worst food available. There was no food courts except one Mexican fast-food and a couple of small places selling ice cream places, and one place inside one of the buildings selling crappy hamburgers and hot dogs. They gouged the the public by overcharging for everything! And of course the lines were long because there were not enough food places. Whatever happened to the food courts they used to have at these events?

Too hot inside. Too many people Isles too narrow for the amount of people. Crafts too congested to really look at. Went to three different years at Cashmen Center. Thought this would be different. It wasn't any different. Will never go again.

[Part 2 of 2]There was a pretty big stage outside, and the benches around it could seat about 80 (they were only about half-full when we were around). We briefly saw the Fargo Brothers Band perform (they play rockabilly). They're quite talented (they've been playing together for 25 years), but the lead singer isn't a very good speaker.Bad Catz also performed, but we didn't get to see them. The Festival is small overall, and there aren't many food booths (the prices are what you'll find during the Alameda County Fair- ex: $2 for a Small Drink; $8 for Chicken Tacos; $4 for Nachos). The security guards were quiet and nice, but the woman at the entrance we used was a bit forgetful and anal (she was like an old and strict librarian). We had to get stamped, and we returned just half an hour later, and she still had us show her our stamps (at this point, nobody was coming and going). If you're interested, the Festival is coming to San Mateo (11-13), Sacramento (18-20), and San Jose (25-27) in November. There was a lot to see, and we all had fun.Check out the Harvest Festival if you can.

Scarfy says (and I quote verbatim): Really, really bad...I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.Take it from me: if Scarfy bags on any event that is based solely upon the marketing of a bunch of overpriced crap that NOBODY could ever possibly need, it's got to be REALLY bad.Admission is $9.00. (!). (That, of course, is on top of $8.00 for parking.)My thoughts: They would probably generate infinitely more revenue if they let you in for free and charged for letting you out.

$9 admission + $15 parking=$24 to enter. It's ridicules. They get money from the vendors and the items are way over-priced, so the admission should be free. In addition, they closed all entrances and just open for the $15 parking entrance where you cannot find any street parking nearby. You must walk 30min if you avoid paying for $15 parking. Someone else also wrote it, but you see the similar vendors as Art and Wind Festival and that's a free event. Why do we need to spend $24 to shop at Harvest Festival?

Want to throw money away? This is your place!! They have blocked the back entrance where you could park on the street and walk in. This forces you to go to the Valley entrance and fork out $15.00 for parking. A guard said the price was because of "inflation!" ---lol--right---NO! It's called gouging. Then there are the entrance fees you get to pay to wander around one building. Wonder how many "crafts" are from China. Save your money. I will find local artisans. Bye Harvest Festival!!!!

The shop owners who had booths were awesome and there were several items being sold that day, from fudges, small whiskey barrels, clothes, several jewelry booths, holiday items and a variety of other stuff. Some booths provided small free samples for tasting. Listing a 2 star due to costs. First parking is $10, adult entrance cost is $9. So at $19 to walk around and view items for sale at what appears to be higher prices is just to costly just to spend 2 or 3 hours. Several items were bundled up, example buy 3 for $24. Its more cost effective to buy the bundle of course. It's an easy $60 dollar day and this is just one person. Should you go plan to spend $$$.

Tired. Same stuff every year. For $9 bucks a person and $10 bucks to park, I'm sadly not sure I'm still a fan. And, I'm sorry, but those strollers have got to go! There are HUNDREDS of them! Some of them don't even have children in them!! What is that?Anyway, just my opinion and you know what they say about that..
