Harris Orchards

My little is not a cherry eating person, but he sure did like picking them! He has gone apple picking and now cherry picking, and I love that my MIL has these ideas for him to venture out and try new things and experiences that I don't think of. He had a blast, got to see how they grow and we had some yummy cherries for our trip home and for snacks. He may not eat them, but we did!

Their cherries are always sweet! And they have different variety of cherries. The farm was huge and we had a blast cherry picking. The owner was so friendly and kind. Great place for fruit picking. They also have pear or peach picking coming up end of this month. Might go back again.

Due to the late May rain we got this year, it caused many cherry fruits to split making it very expensive at $7 per pound. With Brentwood being so crowded these days, going there has become less attractive. That is where Harris Ranch came in. After blueberry picking at Ripon - http://aroundthebayandaway.blogspot.com/2019/06/fruits-of-our-labor-in-ripon.html, we went 3 miles down and was pleasantly surprised that even at 11AM, there were only a handful of cars in the lot and baskets of rainier cherries, my favorite for sale. We opted for U-pick at just $3.75/lb and an hour later had over 4 lbs worth of beautiful rainier cherries. I hope to return when the peaches or pluots are ready.

Came here last Saturday and picked some Bing and Reiner cherries! They are all mostly sweet and good size!

Plenty of cherries to choose from & very sweet. Cherries are $2.50/lb, and they accept CASH or card. Been coming here for 3yrs now and we'll be back for other fruits once they're ready.

I had really fun during my visit. One of the best place to pick cherry. The environment there was one of the best you can just reached valley farm for milk.

We were a bit disappointed. We left with muddy shoes, small peaches and their prices were high. The person who helped is was friendly.

Owners are very nice and prices are great.. they provide buckets to pick and bags to take whatever you purchase

Had a lovely time. Picked up cherries. Very reasonably priced compared to Brentwood. Highly recommended.
