Louie Olivers closed on New Year's Eve? To me its shocking. NYE - all hands on deck. What is wrong with you people? I expected more from Harrahs. So disappointed today when I saw Louie Olivers closed. Shocked to hear its closed tomorrow too, on New Year's Eve. I don't know who is in charge of that - but they might need to move from managing what could be a great casino to maybe managing some senior citizen BINGO hall where toilet paper is the prizes. These managers get six figure salaries to come up with idea to close the only decent restaurant in this place? It boggles my mind. Sure it might be ok to close the lounge on Monday through Thursday and Louie Olivers Monday and Tuesday - but tomorrow isn't just any Tuesday - it's a big holiday. I'd like to invite whomever manages this place to go to Cache Creek. I know its a larger place - but still they got their stuff together. Go to the Sports Page - have a burger. You won't be disappointed. This is actually valuable advice as it shows where I've been going and why. On the plus side its a small casino that feels good inside. Three main entrances and good table game variety. I thought a nice touch was one or two high limit squeezed into the non smoking section. It really pains me to write these bad reviews - and especially for this brand - which is one of my favorites. Again, that's probably my disappointment - I've got high expectations.

How much FUN! This little gem is tucked away and the town of Ione. This is a beautiful hotel and casino with some of the most spectacular panoramic views outside of their casino and hotel. My dad brought me to this casino. He had been here before and told me about it. I am grateful he has because it is beautiful and a good place for a getaway. They have some really good restaurants inside of the casino that you can either get dressed up or be casual in. Almost 1000 slot machine machines inside of the building. Lots of card tables, roulette, and craps to choose from. There is fun around every corner. The casino floor was spread out so that there was room to walk and enjoy watching other people play and root them on. Their staff is amazing and really fun! Lots of smiles and laughter as you search out for the lucky slot machine or play in a slot tournament or many other activities and events they have planned. New slot games and even some of the oldies but goodies on the floor. The casino is pretty big and really laid out well. Everything is labeled on the walls to find the restrooms / cashiers / players club / etc., so you can easily navigate the casino floor. Be prepared to have an amazing time and be prepared to make a return trip! There is PLENTY of free, safe, well lit parking. ADA compliances inside and outside to make the experience accessible to everyone. I truly thank the management for having employees as they do to make our time there as enjoyable and fun as they do! Mr. Vido and I will see y'all soon!

This was my first visit to Harrahs in Ione. I was quite surprised how spacious the casino is between the slot machines. I use a scooter and it was easy to get around. I was able to park easily in the Diamond reserved area. The casino is very clean and nicely decorated. I used their complimentary, self served soda area to quench my thirst. It was a nice touch. I did good on the slot machines. I got many bonuses which it kept be going. I had lunch at Louie Oliver's restaurant. Their clam chowder is the best soup. It had chunky potatoes and meaty clams. THUMBS up! I also ordered their hamburger... it was thick and juicy.. just amazing with a side of fries! I will definitely dine again. They have the LAUREL Lounge for their Diamond Plus, ELITE and Seven Stars players. But limited hours.. Friday - Sunday from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

Once i didnt see my favorite game here i played a little on slots and left.I will never come back here againDidnt like it overall

My son turned 21 and he wanted to go to a casino, I looked around for reviews and thought I was going to the new one in Elk Grove, but the reviews had some very negative things to say about their filtration system, so I looked for others in that 1.5 hour radius and came across Harrah's Northern California. Yes there is smoke, but their filtration system seems to work decently, we were not coughing and my throat didn't hurt the next day. They do have non smoking slot section and the tables we sat at also were non smoking, so you didn't have some $ss sitting next to you, lighting up..They only had 3 blackjack shoe tables running, but, they had $5 min, $10min and maybe a $15/$25 min table (but a $5 min table seems to be a rarity (As they are moving them into the virtual, video game for $5.00)). They do have double decks but they were not open, not sure if they didn't have the coverage or just not wanting to pay out? :) . They have the smallest Crap table I've ever seen and have 3 card poker and some other stuff. We found seats when needed as it was not that busy.We played for hours, so we came across quite a few dealers and one stood out above the rest and I feel really cruddy I don't recall his name, but he was awesome. upper 50's, been dealing for 38 hours, his mom comes in (but he can't deal to her), great story teller and really a great personality. Remember it's not just about the cards, it's about feeling comfortable and enjoying your time, he should be taken care of by Caesars, as he loves the game and unlike some dealers, he's actually played the various casino games!Good odds still, 3:2 for blackjack payout, ample double/split rules and cool side wages.Oh it was nice that I asked one of the pit bosses for a water and he was more than happy to grab us all (the table) a very cold refreshing water. Many pit bosses don't seem to be all that engaging, so it was refreshing (not only the water) :)We ate at the food court, other than being pretty friggen expensive, it was well prepared. We both had the bbq burger with fries, I had the cajun seasoning added. Fries were really well cooked, great crispy outer, burgers were well cooked, and a bit messy but tasty. But seriously $45 for 2 burgers, do you want people to play or eat? Wasn't like it was Wagyu or topped with gold leaf or delivered to the table, we ordered at a counter and picked up the food when we were buzzed :)So really for just over an hour drive, it's probably better than South Tahoe (funny considering Caesars ruined southshore!), since you have access to $5 and $10 tables and it's half the distance. It would be nice if the double decks, at least one was open at all time, why have 3 diff min blackjack tables, one of those dealers could have been at a double deck! Def could use more tables :) We played some slots and won basically nothing, nor did I hear any big wins, so probably wound pretty tight (not good). So ya, if I get the itch to gamble at a real casino, I'll visit here again.Note: I didn't stay local, so have no input on lodging.Plus, they have EV charging spots, and while the charging speed is really low, it's nice to have them available. (maybe they make them slow slow slow charger, so those travelling farther have to stay longer? )

I decided to come and check out this location of Harrah's Casino to try out my luck. This casino is somewhat in the neighborhood of where Jackson Rancheria would be located at which is just East of Stockton. This casino is out of the way for me but, is perfect for locals who live not too far away like in Stockton or near the Jackson/Lodi area.Upon arriving here I noticed that the parking area was quite empty for a Friday afternoon. They do have some designated spots for elite members which is cool I guess if your at that level. Walking into the casino the entrance was sort of nice and welcoming with a waterfall right behind their big sign that says Harrah's Northern California. I also noticed that there was a corner restaurant that has an outdoor seating area and an outdoor bar which would probably be nice to dine at during the summer evenings. The one thing I will say is that this casino is definitely cleaner than a lot of the other casinos around the greater Sacramento area. The front of the property is very clean and saw janitors and landscapers taking care of the property. Since there was not too many people inside here playing, I did not smell any lingering cigarette smoke odor in the air which was very nice! But again there wasn't a whole lot of people there either and could change if this place was more packed. The casino does offer a variety of machines and a few different table games. It's definitely smaller here compared to some of the other casinos surrounding the greater Sacramento area though. They do have all of the common machines such as the Caribbean Pirate, the cash money, moon balls, Buffalo, Wonder Woman, Wolf Run, and many more.I mainly came here to play their craps table and come to find out their craps table here is about half of the size of a full length table so it's probably only an 8 or 10 footer table. The craps table is a six card California Craps system. Most of the other larger casinos around the Sacramento area uses that same system which is nice. I was kind of disappointed though that the table was not open. You would think on a Friday and a start to a long holiday weekend that they could stick a dealer and stickman there, so kind of a bummer there. They also have a multi-game digital gaming area which kind of reminds me of the setup at Sky River Casino, except here the bubble craps has their own individual bubble machines. There's a total of 8 individual bubble craps machines here and they are separated in blocks of 4 machines. I played on 4 different machines on both blocks and each machine ate my money within 2-3 rolls. I could not even get a decent roll going which was quite disappointing.I also played a few of their slot machines. I tried playing the eagle machine located near the front entrance and I've also played the cash money machine and a buffalo machine and I only got one bonus on the machine but the entire second column did not even have a wild to connect all of the columns across the screen which would have gave me a nice little jackpot. I literally dropped $50 just on that eagle machine. For the amount of money I deposited here today, I could not even get one win. Unlike some of the other casinos I've been to where the machines at least give you free spins or whatever, the machines I played were tight and none of the machines including the bubble craps gave me a good run for my money. I was wanting to try out their restaurants had I won a little something at least. But I guess that's how it is, sometimes you win and on days like this you don't win at all and I should have known as I saw just how little cars there were in the parking lot compared to other casinos on a Friday.Anyhow I gave this casino 3 stars. If you like to play in a near smoke-free, and less crowded place, this casino is definitely the spot. It's a very decent place that's cleaner than most and maybe you might get lucky here. But for me today was just an experience given how far it is from my home and based on how unlucky I was here, there are other options that works better for me to play the same games I like to play that are closer to me.

I don't know what everyone thinks about Harrah's but we had a great experience.Nice people in this casino. Very polite customers and staff. Very busy for a Sunday Seems to be getting popular now. Better drive than being on the highway. Nice scenery and less traffic. Also I won at least $700 and my wife won $1200.Highly recommend!
