Hampton Inn Concord

I stayed here for 2 nights and I would absolutely come back here. From the staff to the actual room, I had no complaints. Given that this location was only built a little over a year ago, I loved that it still had a brand new feel. Highlights of this hotel:*Lobby doors only open for hotel guests-- I was a little weirded out by this at first but I appreciated it in the end because I felt safe knowing that only the front desk people could let us in. After having a hotel room broken into in Vegas a few years back, it's these things that put me at ease.*Clean spacious room that has a microwave + nightlight in the bathroom so you can see when you have to use it in the middle of the night. *Shampoo/ Conditioner/ Shower gel in the shower for you to use. Just in case you forget your stuff, you can use theirs. They also used the "Zero" brand which proudly boasts zero sulfates, zero parabens, zero phthalates, zero artificial colors, and zero animal testing.. Loved this. Apparently this is exclusive to the Hilton brand of hotels so kudos for carrying this line. *Filtered water on the bottom floor to fill up your water canteens.*Free Breakfast in the mornings which included an oatmeal station, sausage egg McMuffins or eggs + country potatoes depending on the day, cereal station with milk, juices, fresh coffee, bread + simple muffins, and my personal favorite: waffle station with 2 flavors of waffle batter (Regular and Birthday batter with sprinkles). The waffle station also had whipped cream, syrup, mini chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup*Fresh Coffee all day. I love it when hotels do this. And the best part of this hotel.. Drumroll.. Sonya!!!! If you've read other reviews and see her name on them, there's reason for it. She was just a pleasure to talk to: charming, full of kindness, big hearted and genuine. Not to mention had the best sense of humor. If you're needing a hotel to stay in Concord, don't hesitate to stay here. Another reviewer mentioned that it was a bad area. I did notice that there was a 24 hour liquor store next to it with people milling around right outside the parking lot but I never had any issue with them. I never felt unsafe. Another note: Parking is $10/ day here.

WHY I WENT HERE:- business tripTHE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE):- located on a triangle plot in between Pine St, Clayton Rd, and Market St- north of the plot is a gas station, middle of the plot is the hotel, south of the plot is a convenience store- ingress/egress to the hotel is off Pine St- parking available to the north and westTHE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE):- breezeway allows you partially inside the hotel; the sliding door from the breezeway into the hotel remains closed and locked unless you ring the doorbell for the front desk to allow you entry or if you have key card access- at the time of my stay the front desk said this location has only been open for 9 months- interesting that the elevator was all stainless steel walls- fitness center has all the essentials - breakfast area is spacious and continental breakfast is solid- room itself was great- if you're noise sensitive this may not be the hotel for you considering that it's a smaller hotel surrounded by busy streets and very closely located to the freeway; I'm all for white noise so it doesn't bother me CUSTOMER SERVICE:- used the Hilton App to utilize the Digital Key; had to go to the front desk to get issued an old-fashioned key card (once I did that of course my digital key worked)- also got my parking permit issued from the front desk to display on the dash of my car

This is in a bad area. A 24 hr liquor store is right next to it. I was told there's a security guard but we didn't see one for the nights we stayed there. There was a spider in our room. Housekeeping came twice to see if we're leaving even though we requested a later check out. They charged me & my son's room for parking even though it says free, luckily we were able to get that reimbursed

Good location for the Concord Pavillion. It was just 10-15 minutes away and about $20 Uber ride. We stayed for one night on a Thursday night and it was comfortable. Room was clean and quiet. It also smelled good. Definitely a good stay. Establishment had a much better rating than most hotels/inns in the area.

We took a drive to Walnut Creek to plot the course my wife will be commuting a couple times a month with her new position. We wanted to check out some hotels just in case she doesn't feel up to making the two hour trek home on occasion. We popped by Embassy Suites and didn't feel too good about it. Then we headed over to Hampton Inn to check it out. The location was a little questionable. Once we walked in though, we felt GREAT! Sonya and Bri were working the front desk when we arrived. I told them we just wanted to check out the place and they were all too happy to show us around... These ladies were professional, polished, knowledgeable, and super kind and accommodating. They even showed us a guest room. I would say the customer service here is a ten on a scale of one to five! The facility is very clean and it seems everything is in good repair. This is definitely the home away from home for my wife if she needs a place to rest before heading home when she works in Contra Costa County.

New hotel with hot breakfast and convenient location. My stay here was great. Staff were the highlight - they were all so friendly and helpful, I felt absolutely pampered! They all contributed to making my stay so much more comfortable with their accommodation of early check-in and concierge-type advice about the area, among other things. Room was spotlessly clean, as was the whole facility. Room was spacious, with pleasant, modern decor. Quiet, too. Plenty of good lighting, desk, chairs, TV, alarm clock, plus convenient outlets so charging devices was easy. I was thrilled that there was a small refrigerator and microwave in the room! The bed was very comfortable.Parking was easy. They do add a small charge for parking, which is to be expected in this area. There's a gas station adjacent to the property.Restaurants and shopping are nearby, just a quick walk or drive away. Overall, it is a secure, comfortable, and welcoming hotel that I highly recommend!

Paul & others are professional and extremely courteous. They (Sonya, Christina & Kaelynn & team) take professionalism to the level of making each guest feel like they're coming home. I've been to hotels here and abroad (some very upscale places) and I would take this place over all of them, every time. Why? Because of the care, protection, and genuine, heartfelt interaction they provide each and every guest. It's a rarity and a blessing all at the same!

This was the easiest check in ever. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. I was able to do an early check in with no problem. The rooms were spacious. The only downside was that there was no pool, which was needed in the 100 plus degree weather.

Great NEW Hampton Inn located in Concord right off HYW 242 and close to 680. Very clean with a super attentive friendly team. A special shout out to Christina at the front desk, she's been GREAT! The main lobby area is very open and spacious. Lots of seats and tables available including charging ports everywhere! A perfect pop up office if needed. Plus access to the printer is also available!

Hotel is great. Awesome breakfast. We did find a couple hairs on our bed but I called front desk and they moved us seconds later and had someone bring the new keys to us and we moved to a room a few doors down. However, I have to say Sonja is the real MVP GEM of this hotel. She is welcoming, kind, hilarious. I just love her, she's awesome. -hot chocolate lady
