Gunlady Defensive Firearms Training

Few of my girlfriends and I took the beginning course with Erica and Bobby. We all had a great time learning from these two. Not only did we learn a lot about the legalities of defending your property and self, there was more than enough time to shoot our guns. They also brought out guns we can try. We couldn't have asked for a better day with two very knowledgeable instructors. Highly recommend this class! Will definitely use them again for my CCW. Thanks Erica and Bobby!

Amazing first time experience. My mom and I were lucky enough to have our experience with, The Gun Lady". She was professional and patient, making sure we understood what we were shooting as how different guns pack a different kick or recoil. My mom (in her eighties) had fun, we made memories and our instructor was the best. We will keep going to this shoot range as well. It was a great outdoors location. Thank you Gun Lady!!!

Mandy (GunLady) is now enjoying retirement, but has left us with two true professionals (Erika & Bobby) to continue her legacy of excellence. If you are looking for a firearms class that emphasizes safety and proper technique, while offering a lot of practice, this class is for you. No pressure, no stupid questions, and lots of great advice to stay safe. I highly recommend the training offered by this establishment.

Had a GREAT time with girlfriends yesterday in a shooting class focused on home defense.  Loved Gunlady DFI (Defensive Firearms Instructor) Mandy Autrey. (GUNLADY.NET) in Sloughhouse,  Ca.  Great sense of humor,  fabulous instructor!Key takeaways for me: know the law..if you have to use your firearm to defend your home,  make sure you do so legally and don't end up in jail; acquire the skills, mentally AND physically (spoiler alert... it's mostly mental but Mandy gives essential tips for how to physically hold the gun and your body that really improved my shooting!); know how to prepare yourself and your family...have a plan;  become familiar and comfortable with your firearm; be safe! So much covered... it was terrific! Even though it's a beginner level class,   I'd recommend it for anyone interested in learning more about the specifics of home defense. I enjoyed Mandy's teaching style and skill so much, I will definitely be taking more classes from this Gunlady!

Erica is a top notch instructor. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient and has great communication skills. She's also a badass, precision shooter. In addition to using my own firearm, she brought a range of firearms for me to try out and compare. I'm not sure if this is standard, but it was a nice touch. Emphasis on safety and confidence building with an eye for needed adjustments delivered in a way that's easily received. I recommend anyone interested in improving their skills either enroll in a class or take a one on one session/series. All levels. Very reasonable pricing. What are you waiting for?

Mandy is an excellent communicator. She is black and white and doesn't make you feel stupid asking questions. Her knowledge is amazing and the way she teaches is in no way boring. The safety and rules were great and shooting was even better. She has a keen eye to see what the student isn't doing correctly and can explain the technique changes in a way that makes sense and gets you to the correct position to hit the target. I highly recommend her!Thanks Mandy!

Incredibly patient and amazingly helpful. First off, booking was a breeze. A few emails and my wife and I had a date and time set that was convenient for us. Just the fact that Mandy is so responsive and flexible is enough for the five stars!!!Class instruction was detailed and Mandy and her team were very attentive to our training needs. They did an excellent job keeping things safe and making sure everyone learned something.High quality training from a high quality team!!!

What an experience! So much knowledge, patience, and helpfulness! Erika and Bobby are amazing instructors, they take the time to really connect with you and help you with feedback on how to improve. I am just going to pile on with another five-star review. I retired after thirty years as a cop, spending most of my time in Southern California. I have a CCW by virtue of that employment but my wife wanted one so we attended an eight hour CCW class with a different company (not Gunlady), which, to my wife left many unanswered questions.So I tagged along when my wife took a home defense class from Mandy. The difference in depth and attitude was incredible. Mandy "tells it like it is" the best way I can describe her style. Much of her class concerns the legal position of a homeowner who is exposed to the possibility of using deadly force, but to my surprise the hands-on portion of the class, consisting of actual range training came first.But when I thought about it, and taking into account that some members of the class had never handled a firearm before, it made perfect sense to demonstrate the awesome power of a firearm before discussing the possible legal, social and psychological consequences of using that firearm.Despite my experience, Mandy taught me a lot, especially about the law, and brought up points I never would have considered from a civilian point of view.She is one of the finest range instructors I have ever encountered and I have encountered many. No need to look elsewhere if you want the best possible training to be prepared for a critical incident.
