Old furniture? Dead flies, spiders, spider webs in every corner, and BED BUGS. Other than that customer service was great they were able to refund our money when we told them there was bed bugs in our beds.

If I can give negative star I would. You could hear something moving and scratching inside the walls, rodents(?), seems like it. Was not really able to sleep because of the noise. Also, BED BUGS!!! Never had a bed bug bite in my life but now I'm scratching myself while writing this. I have multiple bites all over my skin, more than 30 bites... Please avoid at all cost!

Do you have any rooms left? We're incapable of driving. No, she says, but we have some teepees. Meeting some poverty stricken students, they laugh that they choose to stay because of their budget. We have to stay because we have no choice. The teepee is very comfy, and even has electrical power inside. You can see the sky through the top. What happens when it rains? Waking up in the morning in a teepee is one of the strangest experiences in my drinking life. The drive to San Francisco is unremarkable, except for a windfarm, Dublin which looks weird and the huge freeway flyovers.----------Update----------We took the luxury option of a wooden room this time. Bad move. Between termites, dodgy paint, dodgier furniture, I'd say spend the extra cash and stay somewhere else, or stay in a teepee. You can make yourself a coffee in the carpark. Enough said.

Why 4 stars? Because sleeping in a teepee is awesome! Even though it can get freaking cold (since there is no insulation), it is total kitsch and must be tried at least once in your life. Note that there is a bathhouse that is shared amongst the teepee dwellers. I took a shower and discovered I had a friend with me underneath the wooden slats-- a giant frog! He sang to me in the shower. He must have weighed 5 pounds.

I debate between 2 stars and 3. So 2.5? Haha. I am all over those 1/2 stars!I was with a group of 6 people and we reserved a trailer with 3 beds. It was perfect for a group of 6. The two beds were in the main area and in between was a table with 4 chairs. Inside the trailer was a mini fridge, small tv, and chairs. The third bed was in a separate room. There is one bathroom to be shared by all... So the cons.....were the bathroom door fell off! We barely opened it and plop! The trailer was NOT thoroghly cleaned b/c there were cob webbs by the door. The blankets looked really old...like from the 70's. The pro, towels were clean at least...whew! It was a cozy place to stay...we had fun playing our board game late at night. I liked the fact that there was a dining table and a mini fridge in the trailer. The water pressure in the shower was nice.Would I stay here again... for the price and location (only 30 minutes away from yosemite...) perhaps... Good experience overall. It definitely beats camping in the sense that it was warm at night... and provided a nice warm shower at the end of the day.

We stayed in the hotel part (not the teepee) here and it is seriously A-OK. It's not great, and it's not even "really good," but it does the job and is the cheapest room you will find this close to the park.It is a bare essentials room that looks like it was decorated circa 1970. The rooms were clean, though not pristine-feeling, and the attached bathroom was just fine-- clean, usable, etc.For the price, this is your best non-camping option for a Yosemite sojourn!

How is it possible that some other Yelper beat me to the teepees at the Groveland Motel?! Man I love those teepees. Fair enough, I didn't stay in one (although I've stayed in other teepees!), but we did get a small cabin room one night when the drive proved to be too much for us. Certainly not a destination by any stretch of the imagination, but the proprietors were very friendly and the town of Groveland is great fun for it's teeny tiny, kitschy appeal.

We stayed in one of the cabins last week on the way to Yosemite. $86 for 1 bed on a Thursday night in October. Not great, but not bad. The beds were mildly comfortable, and more importantly, clean. The walls are thin enough that you can hear your neighbors pretty clearly. The folks at the desk are friendly and helpful. It's a place to sleep. Nothing fancy, but it works.
