I am a full time RVer in a 23ft motorhome stumbled upon the cutest town I wanted to explore after a good rest but the streets were narrow and the rv parks were unaffordable or too far. I called to ask if they would allow me to park in the lot and they were HOSPITABLE, WELCOMED ME TO STAY OVERNIGHT FREE OF CHARGE, AND MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE AND SAFE. While I did not rent a room this level of hospitality must be highlighted! I cannot thank you enough I slept (almost too) soundly, thank you groveland hotel!

The Groveland Hotel has a lot of charm and the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating during our stay. It's clear they go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The hotel is dog-friendly, which is great for pet owners, but it led to some challenges during our visit. Several dogs were left alone in rooms, and their barking and yelping late into the night and early in the morning made it difficult to get a good night's rest.Given that this is an old historical hotel, the sound carries quite a bit, which only amplified the issue. The staff did their best to address the situation and were very understanding, but it's something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a lovely place with great hospitality, but the dog-friendly policy may not be ideal for light sleepers.

What an amazing stay we had. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The room was charming, very clean, and comfortable. Manager Sarah was very knowledgeable and helpful. Chef Jacob made the most delectable dishes. We had dinner and brunch. He takes pride in his creations and truly loves what he does. The drunken French toast was absolutely to die for! Bartender Cassi made some amazing blackberry mimosas. We will without a doubt be back.

Service, Food and Ambiance are top notch. Groveland is a small town - so you don't have a whole lot to choose from as far as dining. Let me tell you though if you are looking for a great overall experience - this is the place to go. Looks like dining is closed Monday and Tuesday so be sure to check ahead of time. First - we called in advance to ask about the kids menu and if they were open. The lady on the phone was so friendly and nice and set the expectation ahead of time that they were short staffed. When we arrived we noticed the tables inside were all higher tables, and we didn't want to sit outside in the heat. She proceeded to help us put chairs at the tables that had backs and arm rests for our kiddos. She even brought over a card game for us while we waited for the food. The food was great, and hit the spot. We started with fried green tomatoes and bacon wrapped prawns, followed by pecan encrusted salmon, burger and chicken strips. The server explained she is typically the hotel manager, but today is the bartender, server and manager - she handled it so well and it was clear the kitchen staff and server really work together to make the experience a great one for customers.

We stayed here 2 nights deluxe king room, Our expectations were low, the gate at the top of the stairs made us feel like prisoners you can hear them lock it up at night and open it up every morning which was pretty noisy. The free continental breakfast was by far the worst I've seen, I understand this is a small town but at the very least add croissants and danishes instead of bagels with no utensils to cut it up, no plates to place it on. The bar had no selection of tequilas and quiet time for adults on VACATION isn't much fun. Be sure to be in ur room by 9 sharp

My friends and I checked out a room at hotel Charlotte then found out it was too small for our group. Frantically walked across the street and the receptionist listened to what was going on and suggested a perfect room for my friends to stay, saving our bacon. It was 40 dollars cheaper than our one-queen bedroom at hotel Charlotte (which was still really nice), and had a double queen bunk bed, so we all got a comfortable stay with no floor camping. Thanks guys
