Greenhorn Creek Resort

We were visiting Angels Camp for the weekend, and with the sun out, we knew we had to get a round in at Greenhorn Creek. The course itself is quite challenging due to the tight fairways and fast greens. Outside of the bunkers, the course is pretty well maintained, even during the winter months. Lots of the par 5s are reachable in 2, some long challenging par 4s, and unique par 3s that are short but tough. During the winter months, they do a 10AM shotgun style play, which means all groups start on different holes and the same time. We finished in under 4.5 hours, played a decent pace throughout the round. The morning of our round there was a frost delay, and they sent a text to let us know ahead of time which was nice. We play here a few times a year, mostly in the spring/summer where it can get really hot. Playing in the spring/summer is nice here because a lot of times it's not super busy, and the course plays quick. They have a solid driving range and putting greens for practice.Overall, love playing here, never a bad time, and is always a challenging course to test your golf skills.

Course was in great shape.Checkin smooth.Tee time on time.We were a 2 some. 2 or 3 groups graciously let us through.Price was a value. 19th hole amenities were great.

The chef has made some wonderful changes to the menu and the weekly specials have been delicious. Had the fish and chips yesterday, it was on the weekly specials! Please keep on the menu, they were delicious The staff is incredible, especially Roger in the bar! Hope they get busier soon!

Nice course. Nice bar. A bit pricey but I guess everything costs more these days. Lunch was also good food.

Sadly this once wonderful place is experienced the worst ownership right now. They have reduced the hours of the pool during the summer from 12pm-9pm and couldn't care less about the members experience. Apparently the new owner believes this is his kingdom and doesn't believe in customer service.

The golf course is beautiful. But like others have said, the guy in the pro shop is terrible at customer service. The bar staff was excellent.

To start out I love this course and have been playing there for many years. This last Saturday 24th 2024 sadly it was not up to the course I remembered. Tee boxes were not in good shape, really couldn't find a flat spot to set up to tee from on several holes. Greens were in bad shape, between dead spots and some type of crab grass growing into the greens. Fairways were just that fair. None of the holes I had checked, the ball washers had no water, cart cleaning box either between the 2 carts we had for the day. Hopefully they will get this turned around, course is challenging and great when kept up, but sadly in its current condition it is not worth the $100+ to play.

Love this course! The restaurant is awesome as well. The greens were pretty fast and course conditions were pretty nice except for a few areas.
