This place is for younger kids and I don't think it's big enough to entertain bigger kids or adults who don't have kids. We've always wanted to go but it's pretty pricey. We stayed for one night and still ended up spending nearly $500 for the room. I don't think it was worth the price. Try to go early for check-in. You will have access to the water park but will have to wait for a notification that tells you when your room is ready. The room was cleanish, but mediocre, as it wasn't the "fun" room. The water park is great for younger kids, but in my opinion, too small for adults and bigger kids. I was pretty disappointed with the size of the lazy river. Not much to do for older kids. Food: No BuenoooooFirst of all, the trays were not fully washed and sanitized. Pretty sure all they did was rinse them off. They didn't even dry the trays. Gross. Second, the food was worse than cafeteria food, and I'm talking about the restaurant inside the water park. The breakfast buffet, AGAIN, trays were disgusting and the food wasn't much better. You may not have a place to sit, and the tables are gross as well. I don't think I'll ever be going back. Especially considering this was our first impression. I'd rather go to SunSplash and stay in a nearby hotel.

We recently stayed at this location. First, it's everything you expect. Lodge like setting, woodsy decor and furry friends galore. It reminded me of Critter Country in Disneyland which I always loved. You arrive and check in on the kiosk. Print out wristbands and I HIGHLY recommend you opt for the kids to only have the room option. Not room + charge option as they will have free rein to charge anything to the room. They will text you once your room is ready which can be as early as when you arrived to 4pm (actual check in time). We arrived on a Friday and it was busy but not unbearable. The waterpark is warm and humid. The water is lukewarm which can be chilly. Lots of lifeguards which is comforting but I still recommend keeping a close eye on kids 10 and under. It can get overwhelming with people especially in the lazy river and wave pool. The food deserves zero stars. It's lower than cafeteria food with high prices. Nothing is fresh. It's all fried and microwaved right before your eyes. All items are 20 bucks. Kids meals are slightly cheaper with tiny portions. Their "upscale" Barnwood is the same. Some items are cooked to order but few and far between. If you love Applebees then this is very similar. Id pack some snacks, sneak coolers if you can. Not even from a cost perspective but from a taste aspect. Also there are no water free stations (at least that I saw and no one could direct me to one). They want you to buy water bottles. Took me a day to feel normal. The other activities are fun and they will try to upsell you at every turn. We loved the mini golf but were very sad that we weren't allowed to do the obstacle course because it requires closed toed shoes. No CROCS! The stars are for the staff who were helpful, kind, and patient. Totally understand this place can be overwhelming, exhausting and they did it all with a smile. Extremely helpful with questions and took extra care to guide me with answers. The rooms are cute and fun. We booked the Wolf Den Suite which had a Queen, bunk beds and a pullout couch. My 10 year had a hard time sleeping due to the small bunk so keep that in mind. I think it's really geared for kids 7 and under. Our bed was comfy and clean. And we check our beds anytime we travel! Lastly the noise. Dear God it's so loud at night. This is a given as it's a kids resort but we had random knocking, running up and down the halls. Screaming and crying kids. They enforce a strict quiet hours but those don't start still 11pm. Be prepared to lose some sleep!Overall our kids loved it and were a bit overstimulated so one night max was perfect. They things we do for our little ones

Still a great place to take your family and you. A find great deals with homeschool discounts or Groupon.. they don't have microwaves in the bedrooms so if you need one make sure to ask to be put near one or you'll end up walking a mile to get to it.. the food here sucks!! The water park and experience are awesome for little kids... we will be back for sure.

What do I like about Great Wolf Lodge? Everything! Starting at the check in desk where you'll find kind, courteous and welcoming people to get you started on your stay of play. This was our second stay and we had more fun this time! After checking in and settling into our room we strolled around to reacquaint ourselves with the layout. There is a list of daily activities that we received from the front desk. We took advantage of as many of the activities as were appropriate for our son. Our favorite was the evening Dance Party. Music, bubbles, colorful lights and magic wands! We all had fun. This visit was the Hubs birthday gift so he decided to try the MagiQuest. Where at first it seemed to be game without a pattern (we didn't stay for all of the instructions) the game is a mission in the guise of a scavenger hunt. The three of us were all over the hotel hunting for clues and trying to remember where we saw clues we needed. Hubs said the wands are jinky, but the game makes up for it. Naturally we went to the Water Park area and let Hubs get his waterslide fix. This is another favorite. And plenty of seating to lounge and sip on your fun cocktail available at the kiosk in the water park. Food is so varied that we didn't have to go out for a meal, but we dropped by Bass Pro so did one meal out. So reasonable priced. Buying a pass ahead of your visit can save you money. I have never felt my family be so fully accepted and appreciated as at The Great Wolf Lodge in Manteca. The kindness from all Pack Members was amazing. Thank you to the Pack Members at The Great Wolf Lodge Special shout out to Stacey. We saw her last year and she remembered us and made a point of not only saying hello but helping us make a breakfast reservation. I highly recommend Mantecas Great Wolf Lodge. Anytime fun for kids of all ages.

Another one for the books! We were able to get a great deal on a Grizzly Suite and invite my parents along and it was a blast! My vacation was quickly ruined when my phone fell in the water and stopped working (my fault, I know) BUT the kind girl working the counter at Barnwood was sweet enough to gift me some rice to leave my phone in. It helped as my phone turned on but it eventually gave out.. Not their fault but I wanted to comment on how kind they were to try and help! Day of check out I forgot my sons expensive shampoo and conditioner and realized it while at the water park, I ran back up and found the sweetest women cleaning the room across ours so I asked if she by chance had stripped out room ( my luck, she hadn't) BUT she didn't give up until she did. We searched the whole floor and couldn't find the person who had but she escalated it to a supervisor and they asked me to come back in a few minutes to give them time to check. When I came back, it was there THANK YOU SO MUCH THERESA (I hope I spelled that correctly) Now about the water park - we checked in on Thursday, got changed and went straight to play. There was absolutely no lines and we were able to go on the big slides over and over again we had a blast and spent almost 4 hours there when returning on Friday after check out, we were able to get on each slide one time as the lines were outrageously long which was 100% expected but definitely why we would recommend and always go during the week. Always keep an eye out for deals on their website ! $200 for the grizzly suite was such a deal and all of us loved the room. Can't wait to go back!My only complaint would be the outrageously priced $20 burger meal at buckets that comes with a cold bun and EXTREMELY burnt bacon & hard cold fries. For this price, please consider providing better quality food

We came here for a family getaway (four people), and it was amazing! Our kids were thrilled with the water park and the fun activities in the lounge area. All the attractions and entertainment were top-notch! The rooms are spacious and cozy, everything is clean, and it's just a great place to spend time. We are very happy with our stay and will definitely come back. A perfect place for a family vacation!

This was our first time at the amazing Great Wolf Lodge! WOW WOW WOW! There is sooooo much to do here for kids my husband described it best, it's literally their Thunder Valley Casino lol. We only came here for a day to experience their indoor waterpark celebrating my nephew's birthday. As we walked through this beautiful resort I got a quick glimpse of what they had to offer: arts & crafts for Halloween near the lobby, arcade, rock mining, bowling, a ropes course, mini golf, food and drinks all along the way, and finally the waterpark near the back. Keep in mind I'm sure there's much more but we did a beeline for the waterpark. Now, I will advise the waterpark is pretty warm and congested. Chlorine isn't super strong which is nice but can still be bothersome to some sensitive to these smells. As a comparison, I was 11 weeks pregnant and did fine. Your kids are sure to stay busy here for at least 5+ hours! P.S. alcohol is served in here!!! There's big waterslides, a lazy river, wave pool, small water slides into a shallow pool for little ones (preschooler age) and a kiddie splash area that my 2 year old loved. We would like to come back here to enjoy more of the amenities catered to the kids. Perhaps, when my 2 year old turns 5 so she could have an opportunity to participate as much as possible in those.

Great little two day stay.Grandson had a blast ended up getting him a pup passed for the build a bear. Bowling was a little different than I imagine I thought the bowling was going to be a nice big space but it's just two lanes. I feel a-lot of the activities are a little over priced and it was overly crowded but glad grandson had a blast meeting characters, going to dance party, swimming and visiting candy shop.
