Fantastic skatepark ! Large, with great features, lots of variety, fun for all! The surfaces are nice and smooth, not much graffiti, everyone seemed pretty nice. It's big enough so that if one area is crowded, you can just roll to another area and have it all to yourself ! Plenty of parking, but nasty porta potties. This place would be stellar if it had bathrooms and a little more water pressure in the drinking fountain. One thing I do like is that the entrance makes it difficult for bikes to come in, so no bikes really going in there. I will go here every time I am in Sac!

Came to this park to watch a game. This skate park is part of a huge parking that includes soccer fields. I love that there's a lot of parking. Nice open space here. The only thing I don't like is that there's only portable bathrooms not real ones. Besides that this is a great park.

Yo yo yo!!! this skate park is soo amazing ! The bowls have amazing flow as long with some of the creative sections. The stair section is great with slippery hubbas and nice gaps. The rails slide. Cool locals who socialize and skate along with you. so shits fire!

Awesome park with beginner to very advanced bowls. Every time I've been there the crowd has always been friendly and respectful.

One of California's best (free to skate) skate parks if you like bowls and vert. There's three sections to the park, one for beginner intermediate and expert. Most of the original granite ledges in the street section are all chunked up now, but it was buttery when it was new.

This is a first-class skate park - one of the best in NorCal - design by master skate park designer Wally Hollyday. Here is a little taste of the action:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR2zBs9Iej0*stolen from socalskateparks.com:* It's a large park with a huge variety of different features including: - A 3/4 pipe that feeds into a large round bowl on one end, and an oververt pocket plus square bowl on the other end. - A 9 ft. peanut pool with tile and concrete coping. - A 12 ft. capsule/teardrop pool with tile and concrete coping. - The front combi-bowl with 10 ft. round, 7-8 ft. square, and 5 ft. side pocket. - The back combi-bowl with two oververt pockets and two 8 ft. square bowls separated by a twinkie. - Resevoir/street area with banks, ledges, 5 ft. bowls, and spine. - A mini triple clover bowl around 4 ft. deep. - Mini-bowl at the entrance to the park with banks and 3 to 5 ft. bowl sections. - Large street/tech area. The park elements are all pretty well separate from each other, giving it a kind of 70s era skatepark feel. Good finish work throughout. A must hit if you are in the area, and well worth planning a trip to. They are scheduled to add night-lighting in summer 2007. It's a county park so pads and helmets are required. It's great to see Sacramento adding some cool recreation sites.

This is definitely one of the better parks in the Sacramento area. I really like the design and layout. When you come in the bike screening entry way, on the right and up the hill you have street skating obstacles like rails, ramps, stairs, and ledges. to the left and up the hill, there's a variety of bowls. The first one you come to is mellow and they get progressively more gnarly as you venture to the back of the park. There's also a 3/4 pipe feature. Some bowls have regular steel coping and there are several with pool coping as well, complete with pool tile border. Very cool! The park has a large parking lot with plenty of spots. I have seen some undesirables hanging out at the park, smoking dope, etc.. and I've also witnessed a fist fight there. For the most part, folks are cool though. Just be smart and vigilant and enjoy your time at Granite Skate Park!
