We interviewed four equestrian centers before placing our horse here last year. They provide good service, reasonable rates and plenty of options from which to choose. It would be nice if they provided a table and chairs outside the arena for those people who like to hang out or bring work with them, though.

I love this boarding facility. The owners are wonderful and caring people. They took great care of my horses. Not overcrowded, and very nice people board there. If you need your horse trained Isidro and Amber Espinosa are great. I highly recommend this business.

Ok I really wish I could give 0 stars to this place ,I drove in looking for a place to board my horse recently and wow just wow in the 10 min I was here I watched the trainer whip ,yell profanities and literally beat the hell out of one of I'm guessing her or her clients horse it was a very pretty paint, I felt so bad for the poor horse. She had kids running all over the place and no one was watching them a accident just waiting to happen it was total chaos and parent or boarders not sure which were just sitting drinking beer or some kind of angry orchard cider drink not paying any attention to what the kids were doing at all. I had heard good things about this facility but really glad I came out and really checked it out this is definitely not the kind of environment that I would want my horse or children around. COMPLETLY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!!!! I wish I had seen the review below before coming out. The facility it self was ok barn stalls looked good outside paddock fencing looked a little run down and only had little tarp covers that looked like they would literally fall over in a gust of wind and indoor arena was tiny. I would suggest looking else where if your looking for a professionally run safe place for you and your horse . I ended up finding another wonderful facility in Loomis that was a much better fit. Keep looking people lots of other great facilities close by!

I practically grew up here, it was my favorite place to be and I will always be grateful to Tami and Ralph and their facility. Trainers of all types came and went over the years, some better than others, but this is not unique to GBEC. One thing that never changed was the dedication the barn owners had to the care and welfare of their boards. Tami worked nonstop from the morning to night, and she always contacted owners if she noticed a potential problem, etc. She was EVERYTHING to that facility and she always made herself available to boarders. I took lessons from outside trainers, I was assistant trainer to 2 wonderful resident trainers, I leased horses, trained horses, started horses.... Everything. Thank you T & R for everything

I don't own a horse but I live with the owners of GBEC. And I can say honestly that both owners care for all the horse that board on their property. Tami and Ralph work everyday on the ranch, keeping the horses happy and healthy. They don't have a "barn manager" they mange the barn personally and apply their more than 40 years of combined experience. They clean the stalls, they feed the horses, and they take care of the horses everyday -- personally. If you're looking for a place where the people actually CARE about your horse and not the barn drama then you should check GBEC out.

I have been boarding here over a year now. This family ran ranch provides around the clock care for our horses, so leaving our horse for a day has never been an issue. Ranch has a well maintained extra large turn out arena, round ring, covered turn out arena, indoor and outdoor (pipe and wire) corrals, pasture, breakfast and dinner feeding (lunch and grains to those requesting it), daily stall cleaning, trailer parking, misters for hot days, a indoor and out door wash rack area, vet clinics, easy access to Folsom trails and much much more... They provide all this while still being reasonably priced. Ranch has a friendly family welcoming atmosphere and thankfully no drama. Thank you Ralph, Tammi, and family for all your hard work in always keeping our horses safe, happy, and well fed.

When I first brought my horse here it was a wonderful place. Then they allowed a woman to come in and pretty much overtake everything. She even got involved with a client of mine. Her horses are not trained well enough to be giving lessons on let alone fit enough. Two of them have extremely sway backs and it is not fair to them to be used for riding let alone lessons. They need to be retired. She will proceed to tell you that you can not ride your own horse because he/she is not trained well enough. The barn owners don't even come out of their house anymore. They leave it up to this so called "trainer" which they neglected to tell anyone about. I also found out that the "trainer" was actually kicked out of her old barn because she ended up causing problems. She then proceeded to sell all of her horses and purchase new ones. Also making an agreement to give half of what she earns to the barn. "So she can stay there" That's a little shady if you ask me. They also have hot wire fences that don't work and will blame your horse for escaping. There was a metal gate that was broken in many places which should have been fixed within the next few days or maybe a week. While waiting, the horses should have been moved. None of this happened. It took them almost a month to two months to fix this gate. Clearly they could care less about the safety of the horses. They also do not call any of the owners if your horse is sick, needs a vet, needs a farrier, etc. At first you were allowed to bring in a trainer or help people with their horses. If you had a liability license and were a certified trainer you were allowed to train. As soon as they apparently "hired" the "trainer" all of that changed. They only pay attention to you if you are paying top dollar. Which this place is not worth. They don't keep their arenas in proper shape. One of the horses sliced open his side on the round pen. There are just to many reasons not to board your horse(s) here. Please please please for the sake of your horse find another barn that is more down to earth and cares about you and your horse(s) not what is lining your pocket.
