We had a wonderful time at Grand Oaks. Ann and Joe were awesome hosts. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Don't miss Ann's breakfast! She is a master chef and you will be craving her food all day. They even had a jacuzzi and pool! They have a private small museum on site with all kinds of cool things and carriages from the 1800s.We are sure to return!Doug and Debbie

The Grand Oaks Inn is a little oasis B&B near Lake Comanche. It is a garden spot about 20 minutes from South Shore Lake Comanche. The B&B is owned by Joe and Ann who are gracious and very well traveled hosts. The building have six units that are over the moon in "Cuteness"!Check out their website and my attached pictures. http://www.grandoaksinn.com/

Had our wedding here, Ann's last wedding and it was absolutely beautiful! Small, intimate wedding of a little over 35 guests and Ann and Joe (Inn Keepers) made us feel at home. Ann cooked our rehearsal dinner and the food was better then the catering for the wedding. The breakfast, OMG.....still dreaming about the oatmeal pancakes. The grounds are very well maintained and the farm house itself is just darling. Our parents along with our children stayed with us the whole weekend and we were in the suite in a different building on site and the whole set up was just awesome. So happy that I found these lovely people. We will definitely go back and visit Grand Oaks Inn. Thank you Ann & Joe. :-)

Just got home from staying there last night with my boyfriend. Had an amazing time. Ann and Joe are awesome hosts and I love their dog Pepper. The house and property is beautiful. Had a nice dip in the spa and a lovely and delicious breakfast waiting for us when we got up. The room was very comfortable and clean. Each room has a private bathroom. Would like to return.

My guy & I stayed here a few weeks ago. We will be back. Our accommodations were quaint, clean and comfortable. Grand oaks inn is the quintessential B&B. We stayed in the suite. Breakfast was incredible and our hosts were just wonderfully nice people. Don't be hesitant to book your stay here because they've only got a few FIVE-STAR Yelp reviews. This place is great and only a short drive to Lodi's wineries & nightlife/ downtown.

We decided to do a family trip at the last minute over Labor Day weekend. We hadn't expected to find any accommodations with availability, but we lucked out and found the Grand Oaks Inn. We were able to stay in the Branding Iron suite, which was perfect for our family. It had two large rooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with a queen sized bed. The couch in the living room area pulled out to make a bed and there was a roll away as well. Perfect for the six of us. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly and our boys loved the cats and dog on the property, as well as the cow who bellowed to us repeatedly as we splashed in the pool. AC in the room worked perfectly. It was a perfect base from which to explore gold country. This is truly a hidden gem and we look forward to coming back.

My fiancée and I stayed 3 nights at the Grand Oaks Inn Bed & Breakfast with Ann & Joe in March of 2013. We were heading for Clements to attend a baby shower, and the family had recommended that we stay at the Grand Oaks.We are so glad we took their advice. They have done a wonderful job converting their old family home into a warm, cozy and inviting place to stay.Ann is a great cook and she prepares a scrumptious and nutritious breakfast each morning, and keeps coffee and other drinks available all day long. She also has home baked cookies around! The Inn is well decorated with antiques and collectibles. Joe always had a fire burning in the fireplace. All rooms are private with their own bathroom. We spent quite a bit of time just talking to the owners. They are very nice and interesting folks, and more than willing to accommodate their guests with any special needs. We will definitely be staying with them again this October when we come back for the wedding.Steve and Virginia

Grand Oaks - Come here for a retreat and escape and peace and hospitality and history. We stayed three nights at the Grand Oaks Inn is in Clements CA, just outside of Lodi California, which I visited for the Lodi Wineries. Grand Oaks Inn · Clements, CA. This B&B is like visiting Grandma's house and being hosted by long-lost relatives that couldn't wait to meet you again. I doubt there's anyone owners Joe and Ann Mehrten couldn't warm-up to instantly. They win the award for the most gracious hosts. The home is THE most UNIQUE place ever too, such as:A). Literally packed with the hosts' FAMILY HISTORYB). Onsite museumC). Literally a working Black Angus cattle ranch, with around 100 cattle on 1,000 acres.MANY reasons to stay at the Grand Oaks Inn:1). You love a welcoming environment from gracious people who literally open up their ancestral home.2). YOU LOVE HISTORY -- onsite is a MUSEUM3). You LOVE ANTIQUES --rooms include HANDMADE items and heirlooms4). CHARMING AND QUAINT is your taste.5). Dotted-upon but also privacy.6). The Inn can accommodate a LARGE FAMILY or couples7). Bonus extra's, like in-ground swimming pool and hot tubDON'T GO HERE IF.1). You can't do stairs. The rooms are on the 2nd floor with steps2). YOU MIND A LONGER DRIVE. Since you are literally on a 1,000 acre cattle ranch. If you want to be next-door to town/stores/events/people. To us, that was part of the charm --- a quiet retreat.3). You want a breakfast on the run ...Come here for a true quaint charming escape. To read the full review see WineSageReview com

We stayed at Grand Oaks Inn with two other couples and what a wonderful experience! We were looking for a place to accommodate all of us that was near the wineries in the Lodi area -- we scored! With the comfortable rooms (each with its own bathroom), the yummy breakfasts, the beautiful location and the warm and friendly hosts, it truly was a fantastic find!! Loved Ann's touch in decorating and her dining table was just beautiful each morning. As they are many generations deep who have lived in the area they were full of stories and history (you have to see their museum!) of this beautiful area.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Oaks Inn February 9-10. We had the best experience. The Inn keepers Ann and Joe are very personable and are amazing. When we arrived they gave us a tour of the rooms and gave us the permission to switch rooms if we wanted. Ann had baked some amazing cookies and we had them with our coffee in the morning. When we arrived Ann and Joe had served us their amazing pomegranate wine and cheese. While we visited with Ann downstairs Joe went upstairs to light up the fire in the very old wood heater and the heater heated up the whole upstairs. The next day Ann prepared breakfast which we really enjoyed. We also had to taste their pomegranate juices both filtered and unfiltered and we really liked them both. After breakfast Joe gave us a tour of their family museum and we learned so much about their family history and the bed and breakfast region. We are definitely going to return to Grand Oaks Inn. Ann and Joe they rock!
