It's been since before Covid that I had been here. Service was friendly vibe was chill. We ordered our food. I heard the bell ring shortly afterwards but didn't see food come out. 17 minutes later the bell rang again. Surely this had to be us! No food came out 4 minutes later the bell rang again. Finally we got our food and the fries were cold. Cold! I didn't eat them. The chicken sandwich was warm enough and good but a bit over done. All in all it was ok but probably won't come back. You're not missing anything if you skip this.

Friday I do the fish and chips .. it was consistent and what yoir looking for good tarter sauce too get it a go . You can call in orders for pick up fyi

Great locals bar. If it happened in San Andreas you'll hear it here ! Great bar food and drinks. New to the cast is Jeremy, great tender. Awesome historical town. Famous for Black Bart and his dislike for Wells Fargo.

The first time I stopped in was very pleasant experience. Thursday evening, Cuban Melt was awesome, service great, bar tender/ waitress super great! I had a friend in town and wanted to treat him to dinner. so we went to Gooneys. 1 table of 4 eating dinner, about 8 people playing pool and several having drinks at the bar. Busy but not extremely busy. Took 35 minutes for bartender to greet us and bring a menu. Got tired of waiting for bartender/waitress to return to our table to place our order! I went up to the bar and placed my order.... 2 hours later and we still do not have our dinner! I go back up to the bar counter to inquire about our meals. Waitress goes in the back kitchen to check, returns and says well they are really busy and had 4 to go orders, it would be soon. So we wait..... There were no food orders picked up or taken out the entire time we were there. Our food arrives. I had shrimp tacos. 2 cold small street taco size in an uncooked corn tortilla. Serious! My friend had a steak burrito with fries. It was a big burrito and no fries on the plate that we paid extra for. We were told they are in the burrito. The burrito is also stone cold! I take it back to the bar counter and ask for it to be heated. When brought back to our table it is still cold! Cold enough that the cheese is not even melted. No fries inside of it! Neither my friend or myself could eat our meals and left them. Huge waist of time, not fit to warrant a return visit in my book. I had a margarita and my friend had 3 beers and an appetizer, Total was 60 bucks, service sucked, food was horrible. Wish I could upload the food pictures here to show this failure.

Gooney's Bar is an oasis and welcome mirage in the relatively deserted Foothill region. Not only is the cabin-like decor of this bar/restaurant very aesthetically pleasing and instantly welcoming, the bathrooms are so clean, well-kept and sanitized you will wonder if you stumbled into a medical plaza rather than a bar.Owing to the gregarious and attentive owner, as well as the young, but very professional bartenders, Gooney's has created the comfort and atmosphere of a dive bar, without the grime and occasional hiccups that often plague those establishments. The food is varied and delicious and the fairly-priced craft beers and cocktails are always spot on.Whether you're a regular or just passing through, I can promise a great experience and you might just leave with a new friend or two.

Great atmosphere and food!! All walks of life and ages, very friendly. Try the Mexican food.

I ate lunch here a couple weeks ago. It was a Friday so I ordered Fish and Chips and a Bloody Mary. The food was great and the service was outstanding! Can't wait to go back!!!
