Stored my 2008 Sanger ski boat at GoldKey Boat storage over this past winter. When the spring came around I had the guys at GoldKey do a summarization, oil change, spark plugs and a V-drive service to the boat. Total cost of this service was around $600. I picked the boat up in May and brought it up to Tahoe where I live. When I launched the Boat it immediately began to overheat within 15 mins of being in the water. I shut the boat off and made it over safely to someones dock. Never had a chance to even make it out of the marina and the motor was smoking hot! I pulled the boat out of the water and brought it to a local boat mechanics shop in Tahoe. They called me back immediately and informed me that whoever summarized the boat did not hook the hoses up correctly and no water was ran through the cooling system which made the impeller fail causing the engine to over heat. Huge disappointment to say the least.Meanwhile, I had been in close contact with the owner of Gold Key about the repairs and issues with my boat. He reassured me that Goldkey would either pay for repairs or offer me a credit to my account at Gold Key for future services which was documented over a recorded line. I asked them to simply pay the repair costs and just move on from this incident. Goldkey never payed for the repairs before I picked the boat back up and I had to shell out another $900 for their mistakes.Now the owner is backing out of paying for the repairs. I understand that mistakes in service happen but its how the management and owner has handled this whole situation. This has been the most unprofessional service I have ever received. I still to this date have not received a apology or any refund. TERRIBLE EXPIERENCEI would NOT recommend anyone to store their vehicles or boats at Gold key. This business has terrible leadership and does not take care of their customers.

We needed a place to store our boat since our storage facility closed down last year in 2019. We search many places and picked GoldKey because of its reviews and the look of its facility. We had very high hopes but then again didn't expect too much since we are not particular with our boat. We just needed a place to store and take it out once or twice in the year. From the moment we signed the agreement we immediately regretted our decision. Although most of their rules are there for you, their guidelines are just plain ridiculous with no wiggle room. We have many example but a few, we couldn't go in to charge our boat ourselves (to save $25 or whatever the price). We gave in considering there may be all sorts of insurance reason why we couldn't ourselves. However when we picked up our boat, it was a quarter charged. To say we were upset, is a complete understatement. We had a kids party to bring the boat to and to sit there with 10 tweenagers pissed because we have to wait for a boat to charge was not pretty! GoldKey will charge for every little thing. Kinda like a add on at a nail salon when My-ling asks if you want the special scrub, or lavender scent buffer, or a cute butterfly design. You end up with a huge bill afterwards. We ask for our boat to be out at a certain time, then come to find out, they pulled it out of the warehouse the night before, leaving your precious ride sitting weathering the storm outside. Why pay the high prices and not be happy or satisfied? This is just a little that we have experienced. We will NOT recommend to anyone. If asked, we will have more horror stories to share. Staff or anyone that we come across at this business does not care one bit. Completely disappointed especially when they are local business. .

Up until 4 years ago I had the luxury of having garage space to keep my boat. Unfortunately I lost this benefit and stored it outside. It was really deteriorating at an alarming rate. I made the decision to seek indoor storage and yes, it is about $120 more per month than the outdoor space, but I feel so much better knowing my boat is safe. I have found it very easy to get the boat out and return it and all the employees have bent over backwards to make it seamless. I also arranged for my 18 year old boat detailed. Jeff did a fantastic job, even detailing the trailer. I can recommend him highly.

Gold key boat storage is a great location for us to store our boat. We live in black stone so the location is very convenient. When we call ahead, they pull out out boat, stock it with ice and waters and we are ready to go. The only drawback of gold key storage is the price. It's not outrageous but it's definitely not extremely affordable. All in all, it's a good location, friendly service and the wiggins sure is cool!! Thanks guys!

GoldKey is so convenient. They winterize and summarize my boat without me ever having to take it anywhere. Whenever we take the boat out, it's freshly washed, they help us attach the boat, even bring us ice for the ice chest. I would definitely recommend them. I love having the boat in an enclosed environment. No more shrink wrapping or trying to keep it safe from the elements. The guys that work in the back are always so nice and helpful. Wouldn't leave my boat anywhere else. It seems pricey up front, but when you add up the price of shrink wrap, winterizing, summarizing and just general cleaning, you find it's not much more for HUGE convenience. Love GoldKey.
