Finally! An elite pizza shop in Modesto. We moved here ten years ago and immediately searched for a quality, go-to pizza in Motown. There were a couple that were ok, but nothing elite like what I've had in other cities. I grew up with Dante's and David's pizza in Stockton (amazing pizza if you're ever there definitely check them out). So I was disappointed when we moved to Modesto and the only options were either the mediocre local spots or overpriced and overrated chains like Mountain Mike's or Roundtable. When we found Gold Dust Pizza (formerly Pizza Plus) in Ripon, we immediately knew we found our spot. Gold Dust's pizza is loaded with toppings, quality sauce, crust is thick enough to hold its form on the bottom but not too thick and doughy like Mountain Mike's, but still fluffy with some chew on the outside crust. It's not a thin crust NY or Neapolitan style so if that's what you're looking for then move along. Their spot in Ripon was consistently great and service was always friendly. When I heard they opened a spot in Modesto my family and I were excited that we didn't have to drive all the way to Ripon to enjoy a delicious pie. We had Gold Dust Pizza Express last night for the first time since they opened here and it was just as good as the one in Ripon. Pizza was delivered on time and the delivery driver was very friendly. Can't wait until the next pizza night - we'll be ordering again soon!

We like the Oakdale and Ripon location and was excited when I heard they opened a spot in Modesto. The pizza game in Modesto is severely lacking so this is great. Tried to get a deliver but they do t have their own process so ordered through Uber eats, that was ok next time I will just pick it up. Usually the phone eats first but I forgot to take that pic.....We ordered a specialty pizza, the yuppy, it's a veggie style and it was delicious! That crust is really incredible, not crunchy since it's delivery so probably have to eat it in store to get it crunchy like we prefer hit the taste was excellent.We got good pizza in Modesto!!!! Nice.....

We have never been disappointed with Gold Dust/Pizza Plus. We usually get the same order. The miners special. But at this location they had something new. The Fig & Prosciutto specialty pizza. And it did not disappoint! Packed with quality ingredients and flavor! Staff was courteous and friendly. Dining area is small but it is an express location so it's understandable. Once again great experience. (Blue Cheese & Mozzarella Cheese, Fig Jam, Olive Oil, Prosciutto, Arugula, Fig Balsamic Glaze)

First, I've heard amazing things about this place before they opened up in Modesto. I believed they are located in Oakdale, Ripon, and one or two other places. I've had the one in Ripon before it was Gold Dust, previously named Pizza Plus.I'm a pizza addict, so I'm always looking to try a new pizza place especially when they sell slices. I personally love NY style slices and square slices (Golden Boy SF). Once I stepped inside, it was packed and the lady that took my order said it would be about 7 mins because they just put a pie in the oven. I took my slice outside where there are a couple table to enjoy your slice. First glance, it doesn't look very appealing, but I knew they use lots of cheese and are heavy on the toppings. Based off the smell, I knew that this was going to be a solid slice! Of course, it was amazing! The crust was crispy, the sauce is DELICIOUS, and the pepperoni was perfectly crisp. Hands down, great pizza! I only gave them 4 stars based on the price, $4.33 is a little bit pricy but I understand that the cost to operate a business isn't cheap. I just remember getting a slice at the Ripon location for $3 and some change. I'd definitely eat it again, probably the best slice you can get in Modesto!

Took my fam here for my son's birthday. We've had great experiences with Gold Dust in Ripon, so we wanted to visit our local parlor. The food was excellent, as expected. I would definitely order from here again. Service was friendly, too. We were offered a deal instead of paying for each item we ordered individually, which saved us some money. Score! The pizza and bread was brought directly to our table. Ambiance was casual with the same classic decore that graces the other location. Gold accents, dark red walls, and Waterhouse paintings. Loved it. This location is quite a bit smaller than Ripon, giving it a really home-y feel. There isn't a lot of seating around tables and the tables barely fit our giant pizza, four sodas, and breadsticks. There is no soda fountain either. Good things to keep in mind.

Best pizza in town for sure! Employees are courteous, efficient, friendly and efficient. If you have not tried out this Pizza yet please go do yourself a favor. I am not a wing person, but my husband is and says they are the best in town!

Pizza was burnt and the manager offered to remake only half and said the other half is still okay. Instead of just remaking the entire pizza. I have been going to Ripon Gold dust for years as well as Falcons lair now, and I never had this experience.
