My trusty 1984 Club Car suddenly stopped working. I had just washed it down and I thought I got the solonoids wet, but they looked dry...so I called Gilchrist Golf Cars and talked to Sierra in service, and asked if I could bring it in. She told me that my cart was an OLD model, and that parts were hard to get for it, but nevertheless they would try to figure out what was wrong. Their standard diagnostic charge is $100, plus parts and labor if they figure it out and they can fix it. So I loaded my cart on to my trailer and headed to their service center in Rocklin.The service technician came outside, took off the seat, looked at the batteries, and quickly discovered that one of the terminals was corroded and the cable was severed. He explained that the batteries are linked in series, so if one fails, the cart won't go.So, he replaced the cable in about 10 minutes. No charge for the diagnostics, just the part and 15 minutes of labor. $35 and didn't even have to take it off the trailer.I never expected this quality of service...thought I would have to leave it for days until they could get to it.They have my future business. When my old buddy finally gives it up, I'll be replacing it with a newer cart from Gilchrist. Five stars guys, and thank you!

Rented a golf cart for a month and everything went perfectly! Every step from ordering to drop-off to pick-up was easy, extremely timely and done with great service. The cart was clean and in great shape, no issues!We will definitely be using your service again and sharing with others as well!

Excellent quick service. Replaced all 4 batteries under warranty and found me a reasonably priced used charger so I won't keep killing my batteries prematurely. Friendly, efficient and effective.

Just had my Club Car golf cart upgraded and was very pleased with the final product - it came out great. Other dealerships in the area had quoted me 2-3 months to get all the upgrade parts. April at Gilchrist managed the project from start to finish and had it done in 2 weeks. April kept me informed of every step of the project and delivered on everything she promised and more. It was so nice to deal with someone who communicated each step so well and did everything she said she would do, when she said she would do it. Would highly recommend Gilchrist Golf Cars and April!

We went to browse at Gilchrist and asked to let us now when a used cart would be avail for sale to let us know. A week later we got the call and it was a beautiful Yamaha 2020 yr very well taken care of.It was upgraded with seatbelts and brake lights and delivered a week later.All seamless and friendly plus the price was right.Thank you Gilchrist for making my hubby happy.

I bought a new Yamaha golf cart on 9-8-20 from Gilchrist for just under $10,000.. The "service" is terrible. Months ago, my wife and I were playing a round of golf when our cart stopped working. We called for service expecting everything to be covered by the warranty. They sent a technician and charged us over $350 for a pencil that somehow fell through the floorboard (design flaw) and stopped the cart from working. Currently, we have no headlights, tail lights , or horn working and the company will not send a technician until they have a second job in the area due to cost. The company is in Rocklin and my course is in Placerville. Remember, I paid them just under $10, 000 for the cart and this will be warranty work. Ridiculous and I will never purchase from Gilchrist again.

Doing business with a company for 16+ yrs should come with a higher level of customer service. But then again... dealing with a small company, customer service isn't top priority. Sacramento needs more golf cart companies.After speaking with I believe the owner of Gilchrist Golf Carts, my issue was resolved. I am happy with the outcome and the customer service that was provided by him.
