As a Veteran I was able to do the trail ride for free which was the cherry on top! I had been wanting to go horse back riding for a long time and I'm so happy I did. I went during the week day, so I was the only person in the "group". I have experience riding, so I'm a matter of 5/10min we were already on the trail. It was a nice easy ride. Perfect for someone who doesn't have experience either. The people were really friendly, and over all I had a great experience

Gibson ranch has been my families favorite place to picnic for years. Recently though, we have seen drastic improvements. Often you can see the park manager walking adorable mini horses or cute goats. And in the last few weeks horse back riding on the trails at gibson ranch has been revived by Trail brothers, LLC. Trail brothers at gibson ranch has really brought the life back to Gibson Ranch's equestrian facility. They provide trail rides 7 days a week. You need to go online to book your ride though because they do fill up. Www.gibsonhorses.com. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Even If you've never been on a horse they make your experience fun. Thank you to zachary, kalea and tyler. You guys are wonderful.

Terrible place to stay over night, stayed one time and loved the area and view, but the other rv people staying were, rude, loud and inconsiderate. But we let it go. Also the maintenence men seem to turn sprinklers up so they can get your things wet if you park near the grass so dont recomend staying anywhere near grass. Then we decided to go and rv stay agian and to my dismay the same two rvs were their Agian, this time even worse than before the one couple with children were screaming and yelling at each other cussing and making their children scared and cry. The other guy runs his generator which is loud until all hours of the night even though the rules say no more generators or other loud noises aftet ten. We asked him politly after 1130 if he could turn his generator off and he refused. We complained the next day and they said we could move but then had to move agian right back to where the inconsiderate fool was. Because of park events. So for the start of our trip we couldnt sleep due to excessive noise and the last few days yet agian. Unless your on a super tight budget i wouldnt stay here. Especially if you see a grey and white rv with a couple and their kids or the green and white with an inconsiderate jerk. Id turn around and just sleep it off at walmart or other parking lot before id ever stay their agian. The night guy locks all bathrooms around 7ish and then you never see him agian. Doesnt patrol or inforce any rules. The only good part was the owner tried to at least be nice hes a pretty nice guy. But not enough to make up for the rvs Living there.

Management is horrible. It definitely isn't like it was years ago. Just went here to go fishing and didn't know we had a time limit. No one mentioned it and it isn't listed anywhere. We have never had a problem fishing late until now. So apparently no one is supposed to be in the park after 8:30 PM and of course we didn't know. We are fishing and someone somewhat kindly asks us what we are doing and if we know we need to leave. We ask well are we supposed to go and he laughs and says yes. We start packing up and my boyfriend goes to the car to move it closer when a truck pulls up and asks what we are doing. I tell him that we are packing up and we are waiting for someone with the car. His reply is "Well thats what you told the other guy and I want to see some action so get out!" We clearly were packing and getting our stuff together but he had to be extremely rude. With every movement he followed us with his truck. We had to pull to the side at one point to let our parents know we were coming home early and they pulled up next to us and yelled "Is there something wrong?" Obviously we don't text and drive. Other than that the fishing before that was good. Basically they harassed us and pushed us away from paying them anymore money. Oh and also to the first guy, it is very much so possible to catch fish by hand!

Horrible management! Doug and Stephanie and Nich are lousy "horse" people..WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I do not recommend boarding your horse where a politician is in charge. The kids employed are great, but working under extremely unprofessional management. There have been 2 deaths since we have been there...a colic and a impalement on a fence. Founder is rampant...very, very sad. Ridiculous management practices, very unprofessional. While the facility of Gibson is overall nice, the management is running it into the ground.

This place is full of beautiful scenery, we took the very last scheduled horse trail. Lasted an hour, horses were so good to us as it was both our first times ever riding one. You are fully in control of your horse, but they do offer help for the little ones. Our instructor was more than amazing!!

We took a two hour trail ride with Trail Brothers at Gibson Ranch. It was a lot of fun. Our trail cowboy guide was personable and made the ride great. The horses were easy to ride. The trail took us around Gibson Ranch and it was interesting to see all the animals and facilities there. The day was foggy and it made the oak trees look amazing....well, ok....a little spooky. Definitely a good time!

I can not recommend Gibson Ranch/the Trail Brothers for a trail ride, unfortunately. We have horses but my daughter's pony is in one place and my horse another and we couldn't figure out an easy way to ride together so I splurged for a two hour trail ride for the two of us to ride together on my birthday. When we arrived it was not clear at all where to go but a boarder there pointed us toward a building. We were made to wait 40 minutes for the ride before ours to return. The ride itself was fine, a slow walk and decent conversation with our guide. But then we returned to the start on time (5 minutes before the hour actually). So our special two hour ride was only an hour twenty. I received a follow up email asking for feedback so I politely pointed this out and explained that we were disappointed. The owner offered a free lesson for our "less than perfect ride" (passive aggressive much?) but I explained that we already work with a trainer and would much prefer a prorated refund since it was a splurge and we did not get what we paid for. No response. I reached out again and he again offered a lesson, again. I asked if he was unwilling to offer the prorated refund. No response. Also, they use the same horses all day long for trail rides (7 a day!), without a food/water break, from what I could see.We have done a couple rides at Boarding on the Lake and they've been a blast! I highly recommend the longer drive and checking them out instead!

A group of my family members have been there several times for kid events and was very pleased with the staff. They were very friendly and very patient with all the kids which were a range of four to ten.
