A GHIRARDELLI ICE CREAM & CHOCOLATE store this close to the 5 freeway?!?! Don't mind if I do.Opens at 11 AM, which makes sense I guess, but for those of us who don't mind eating ice cream for breakfast, I was a tad bit disappointed.Giant mural at the front.Giant and free parking lot so you won't have any trouble finding an available spot.Staff is friendly and helpful.Choose your own chocolate squares and paying for your chocolate by the pound is a great option.Ice cream is available as soon as they open, but the fudge is not ready until about 45 minutes after they open.LOTS of great souvenir and gift options available in the store.Plenty of seating available both indoors and out.Giant space so you won't feel crowded.

We were occasional patrons of the original local Ghirardelli outlet in Lathrop, but we don't get that way too often. We were glad to see that they had established the new one near Tracy, which is a bit easier to get to from the freeway. We have stopped by a couple of times now, on one occasion they seemed to be out of several products (which seems weird as there is supposed to be a warehouse behind them on the same property). The staff were nice, the restroom well kept, and the chocolate, well as good as Ghirardelli is (which is good). If you are a fan, you probably won't be unhappy with a visit.

The ambiance is modern and bright, creating a calming and positive vibe, perfect for shopping for some chocolate! The service was very friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain their best sellers and what's popular.I tried the iced caramel latte, and it was delicious. I also got the "Gold Rush" cream, which was incredibly tasty. I definitely recommend it if you're a caramel lover!

I LOVE the ice cream here! It's always the perfect texture, super creamy and cold. I've been here a few times already for their ice cream, but I recently tried their vanilla milkshake and it's the best milkshake I've ever had. It wasn't too sweet or hard to drink with a straw like some milkshakes can be. The customer service here is also great. I've never felt like the workers were annoyed by me or the people I've went with.However, it is freezing cold in there!! I'm assuming it's to maintain the texture of the ice cream and make sure the chocolate they sell doesn't melt, but I'd come with a jacket if you're staying here a little longer than usual. The prices are also a bit whack, almost $20 for a brownie sundae. I like to consider it a treat that I can splurge on once in a while.

Located in a Unassuming new industrial building section of Tracy/Mountain House border. This is a Ghirardelli OUTLET- the famous SF institution . Came here craving a fudge sundae. Parking is so easy I was the only customer. 2 people working there is a clean inviting place. Chocolates everywhere. They also have hot chocolate. Although the sundaes are not cheap they are great quality chocolate for sure. Lots of small stuff like gifts and bundles to get your chocolate Ghirardelli fix. There is original huge chocolate machine here like SF though. 100% top notch service . They give military discounts. It's Off freeway 205 Mountain house pkwy exit. Weekends can get pretty busy I heard . I think they close 8 pm on most days. I took some pics today 11/20/24 (Wednesday.) Closeby there is Amazon warehouse delivery station and just one new gas station min mart. Again it's in an industrial section of town lots of trucks driving around . I'm glad it's close to the exit so I can grab a dessert if I have a long drive out.

Stopped by for a birthday treat and had the strawberry passion. Comes with two scoops of vanilla, hot fudge, and strawberry purée and chocolate covered strawberry. This was covered in whip which I'll break my diet any day for. The inside area is large and spacious. Looks just like their old location in Lodi. Super delicious.

Well, I never expected to go to a place that was chock full of chocolate and was known for making milk shakes, splits, and sundaes and leave disappointed.That's exactly what happened.The place has just about every type of Ghirardelli Square you can think of and they are offered at different percentages of dark chocolate. The selection is impressive and the pre made packaging is cool along with the ability to package your own distinct selections.That being said, the prices are really high and the ice cream (milkshake to be exact) was less than impressive. For over 20 bucks we got some pretty mediocre drinks that could have been much better.Overall, I can't recommend this place unless you are gifting some chocolate.I know inflation #&$ks, but these prices really shouldn't be that ice. I mean, Pulp Fiction the movie made fun of the $5.00 shake and now we are paying nearly 10 bucks! No bueno :(

We visited this place recently with my family and absolutely loved there Sundae ice cream. Their menu has a lot of options from hot beverages to cold beverages to different kinds of ice cream and Sundaes. We ordered a classic sundae ice cream and everyone loved it. There sundae was so big that it was enough for three of me, my hubby and my dad. And my mom had a coffee which was also good.For ordering, you have to just grab the menu and order at the counter and collect your food from the counter. They sell a lot of different chocolates at the store and have a lot of variety at any given point. And they sell a lot of souvenirs and gift items.Ambience was nice and people were in and out quickly as the service was quick. The parking lot is huge so you don't have to worry about getting a spot. Overall a nice place to get some ice cream and chocolates.

I usually order a sundae anywhere that serves ice cream especially if they have a brownie in it. This place had a sundae with a warm brownie and the brownie and chocolate tasted very rich. The ice cream was also high quality as well. The service was polite, precise, and fast. The ambiance is half store and half ice cream parlor with some seating and a nice little area that has water. I highly recommend going here if you want something sweet, some ice cream, or if you want buy some chocolate on the way out, but it's gonna be hard to choose with all of the variety.
