This was my first ever fishing experience. Me and my daughter had a awesome trip on Folsom Lake. Tom and his wife were so kind to my daughter. She had lot of fun and got to experience great evening with me. I caught my first ever Salmon and it tasted good. More than worth the price

Got my son a gift certificate for Christmas for a fishing trip. He and his friend went out with Tom to Folsom Lake for the day. They caught several fish and had a great time. He said he learned a lot and got some great tips on fishing. He said Tom was an excellent teacher and learned several skills they could use when they go out on their own. Family fishing fun! For several years, our family tried to get our sons (11 & 14) into fishing. It was always a frustrating experience where one male in the family came home angry. The problem? The catching was never consistent and one child would feel disappointed. My husband would be frustrated that he never got the opportunity to fish because he was always assisting them, and thought the kids were ungrateful for the assistance or flat out wouldn't engage and would complain the whole time. Enter Tom... our new Fishing Guru. We hired Tom to take us out of Folsom Lake for the afternoon last month. Instantly, our sons listened to him and bonded with him. My husband was able to fish and ask all the questions he'd always been too afraid to ask other fishermen. Turns out, most the things we'd been trying all these years were slightly incorrect which accounts for the negative experiences. The guys welcomed me on the beautiful boat and I just enjoyed the boating experience as a whole. We had a blast! We caught fish. Consistently too! We learned about fishing. We laughed! We took pictures and when the fishing dried up, Tom went the extra mile and took us to some safe jumping rocks for swimming at sunset. It was affordable family fun. We had such a good time that we've already booked another trip with Tom next month! He's amazingly funny, insightful, knowledgeable, encouraging, thoughtful, and relatable. An added plus? He's a great Dad and husband in his real life and was exceptionally patient with me and our youngest son who gets very very motion sick. A+++ experience with Tom. Tom is a fantastic guide. I've not done a lot of fishing on Folsom Lake and have heard it's an inconsistent place to fish. Tom's Striper is a perfect fishing platform and he it was well equiped. We hit the water at first light and landed our first two Salmon within 45min. He spent the time to share with me the history of lake, the types of gear he used, how it was configured and the various techniques to land fish at Folsom. Really an educational experience, and a successful outing as we landed both Salmon and Trout on a windy day in min January (those were the species I was looking to target). Great outing at a fair price!
