I'm a retired deputy sheriff and have been around guns for over 30 years.Ken is one of the finest gunsmiths in the area. He really knows his guns and the history that goes with them. It always nice to have a conversation with him. It might be awhile but he is worth the wait many times over.Rob

Awesome work, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend ken to anyone looking for work done on their firearms or for repairs or any type of gun work. Only complaint is how much he talks on the phone while customers wait inside. But I guess he has a large clientele base which is good for him!

Wonderful Gunsmith used by four other friends. Will give you plenty of time and take care of you and your weapon! Very unassuming place, would rather he expertly tune a 1911 than landscape his lot! He keeps to his shop work hours/customer hours strictly. For a big job, bide your time. Highly recommend! I'm in Minnesota now, but he is my smith still!

If you are not paying attention you will definitely miss this spot. If you are In a rush do not bother. But if you are looking for an old school smith with unbelievable skill and detail, can do without your firearm for a couple months, want the done job right, have a nice conversation, handshake and a handwritten receipt and your firearm back way better than expected. This is the spot.

I am old school...former US Army Vietnam Vet...with many cherished rifles that I use for deer, elk, more...hunting. Over the years Ken has proven to be a 2nd-to-farm none true-Gunsmith. Like others have said...he is not just a "parts-changer". He will take the time to do the job--task right...with no flaws...so don't come in looking for hurry-up...and thankfully, at reasonable prices. His location is kind of remote-hidden behind trees in front...behind an automatic gate that is open when he is open...so the 1st time you try finding his stand-alone building location...you will be confused. It is not the small house next door...look for the building set-back above the trees next door to the farmhouse. Make SURE you check his hours-days open off the internet...he is a one man shop...with a need to keep shorter open-hours to complete his work. He will answer the phone...and if you are at his counter engaging him...he will attend to the phone call 1st. Keep huntin'...Mike E. Ps: One of many examples...My brother was missing shots with his Military-Carbine Swedish-Mauser 6.5 Cal. on an Alaskan hunt a few years ago. Our Dad semi-sporter-ized this rifle for a gift to my brother on his 13th birthday...more than 50 years ago. Ken recognized the Peep-sights had been bent and repaired the sights...did not replace. This rifle is over 100 years old. Again, 2nd to none.

I recently had night sights installed on my Hk P2000 from ken. I was transparent and told him I did most of my modifications on my firearms but this one was out of my league. He's a calm man yet was still enthusiastic in filling me in and that turned into a nice conversation. Walked away learning a bit more as well as received my slide the next day. I'll continue to work with Ken.

Ken is a cautious person, rightly so. He's been making guns for many years and is a purveyor of quality. I'd purchased a long slide and barrel for my Glock 19 and needed sights. He was able to supply and install a good iron sight while I waited. The fit is perfect. I'll be going to him again.

Ken is a very good gunsmith and is open for business... but he is closed about 3 or 4 days a week so that he can get through all the work without be constantly interrupted. Call to find out his open days/hours. Well worth the trouble.

Ken always does great work for me over the last 20+ years. Best gun smith on the west coast. Not just a parts changer. When I have a tough fix it goes to Ken. I have never taken him some thing he has never seen and fixed before. Good people are busy, so you are likely to have to wait. Ask serious shooters who they trust to fix their best guns. The answer is Ken Genesco.
