Galaxy Theatres Riverbank IMAX

We just came home from another movie at the Galaxy Theater in Riverbank and must report the overall quality of in person movie going has improved over the past few years. While this was certainly not our first venture, the folks at the Galaxy are doing their darnedest to make the experiences enjoyable and therefore memorable. The offerings at the snack bar are off the scale, the features and high quality viewing the best ever, and the many modes they have from IMAX to ones that immerse the viewers in the experience with wonderful seats.I note that one reviewer had a concern about the parking. I don't see it, the footprint of the theater with lot literally takes up about 3/4ths of a city block, with more than ample parking (some shared with a few other businesses to the west) that goes on forever. On occasion we have parked behind in the summer, which is shaded all day. If you are going to the early showings, there's parking out front under trees. I hope they can keep it going, I know that home viewing, with all the media on demand is a heck of a competition.

This theater is promoting summer fest 2024. Summer fest is a list of older movies brought back to the big screen, which is pretty cool. We visited to watch The Goonies. We visited on a Sunday evening around 645pm and it was pretty steady inside, but not too crazy. They had plenty of people working the concession stands, which made the wait time in line pretty quick. They offer a really reasonable rate for a kids food/drink package. It is the value pack, which includes a drink, popcorn and candy for only $8. For the adults, there is another concession stand where they serve alcohol to adults. They have several beers on tap and bottles. The theater seats are great quality and recline back pretty far. I found myself wanting to nap during the movie. Although we do not live in Riverbank, we enjoyed this theater and we will visit again.

At first we went to our movie and some people were in our seats. But luckily customer service was GREAT, and we had an employee re reschedule our movie. Big thumbs up to galaxy

This theater is fantastic. My lady and I have seen may movies here and have never been dissapointed (That does not count the choice of movie). And they have a bar, the selection is limited but it's still has one.

Whoever wrote the review about the volume, they were spot on! I had to cover my ears the entire movie because the volume was so loud it actually hurt. I imagine someone's hearing could be damaged.

My favorite movie theater of all time. Great seats, variety of snacks/ drinks. Customer service is 10/10Shoutout to the great customer service we were given by Damian Torres.

Haven't been there yet!but looking forward in taking my family I heard nothing but good things about this establishment!

we have been coming here for years and last night my sister and brother in law went to watch a movie and ended up ordering the cheesecake that comes with the brisket fries combo. BIL ended up eating a piece of cheesecake during movie and said it was disgusting. the lights turn on at the end of movie and my sister looks down and there is MOLD ALL OVER the cheesecake. they were only offered the $6 refund and 2 free movie tickets for any movie to make up for it lmao. i'm sorry but items that are not sold as often like drinks and popcorn should be checked often but i guess that that is not important to the managers nor staff handling food.

Good snacks and nice seats in a clean theater. On the down side it was really cold in the theater! Now I know why people bring blankets, but we shouldn't have to.

It was a great movie theater. Only complaint is that they ran out of the cherry icee.
