My family had been looking for an authentic martial arts studio for awhile and we're very happy to have found G-Elite. They specialize in Korean Kuk Sool Hapkido and adds in other styles Sir Glynn (master) has picked up along his decades of learning including self-defense forms, joint locks, breathing, flexibility, and forms.G-Elite teaches their students to defend and fight and this is not just to look fancy and build up false confidence like many other schools these days. Furthermore, Belt progression is based on skill and knowledge and not how much the student has been paying. The parking is plentiful and the cost is reasonable. My family appreciated the lessons and found them useful and concentrated. It wasn't convenient for our own hectic schedule but maybe in the future we'll return when we have more time in our own lives.Note: the studio is in a warehouse and it could get very hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Sir Glynn is one of the best instructors I have ever met and his knowledge for martial arts truly shows. With over 30+ years of experience under his belt (pun intended), he truly understands the art down to every single detail. When training, he doesn't expect students to just learn techniques in order to gain your next belt. He reflects on your experience and growth at the school before he moves forward with promotions. In doing so, this makes you work hard for your belts and leaves you feeling fulfilled. When I was training with Sir Glynn, I told him all my weak points when it comes to exercise and training. In doing so, Sir Glynn provided advice and techniques in order to work around my strengths and weaknesses. It really allows you as an individual to grow and learn more about your body in ways you didn't know before. If you're looking for a second family, an amazing instructor, and personal growth, then this is the school for you.

I recently started training at G-Elite Martial Arts and from the moment I first walked in the door I felt welcome and everything was carefully explained. I was looking for a good place to get some exercise post-covid lockdown and I did not realize I stumbled into a rare and lifetime experience.Sir Glynn, our teacher, is truly amazing. He has devoted his life to this for many decades but is still extremely patient and takes the time to explain the why's and how's of everything we learn. He is always happy to answer any questions, and teaches practical real-world stuff, not just repetitive memorization. I knew nothing coming in, and now I have all these tools and skills: From being present to having a solid physical foundation, he has taught me so much and I will always be grateful. The classes are challenging and intense, but also a lot of fun. The veteran students are very supportive and helpful. I have made some great friends in class and feel like the whole school is my extended family. One of the things I like most about G-Elite is the personal touch. Sir Glynn always makes himself available and takes time to understand your limitations and unique challenges. He works within those to still make you better as you progress.I feel very lucky to have found G-Elite. It's not just a playground for kids or a workout studio for adults, it is a place where you learn to improve your whole life, become a better stronger more capable person, while making great friends in the process.

We are in escrow for purchasing our forever home in Ell Grove but currently reside in Los Angeles. Not knowing much around the area, I was afforded the opportunity to train on a trial basis with Sir Glynn and loved it. Unfortunately since we are not currently physically residing in Elk Grove, we have not been training lately. Sir Glynn attempted to train me via FaceTime which we did but that only lasted for so long. I do encourage Sir to join the zoom movement and enable the growth of my training online!! Cant wait until our escrow finalizes and we're able to train more consistently

I can not say enough about how amazing our experience has been with Sir Glynn and all of the students at G-Elite. His focus on the mental and emotional well-being, growth, and discipline in tandem with the physical aspects of Martial Arts continue to provide significantly positive changes in the way my child feels about themselves, both personally and as a part of the world. I am so incredibly grateful that we find ourselves a part of the G-Elite family and couldn't be more proud of the person my child is growing into because of it.

TL;DR: The school will help you improve physically, mentally, emotionally, or altogether (provided you put in the effort to improve). The instruction here does not sell the "best" techniques or guarantee that you'll be the baddest martial artist. Glynn provides a foundation on which to either begin your martial arts journey or continue it. The school is not a fight school but if your goal is to compete, the instructor provides private lessons catered to your needs. The physical conditioning is gradual and fairly easy at the start. If you have no athletic background and want to get in shape, then this is a great option to check out. Even if you have an athletic background, you will improve your conditioning. The community here is great and supportive. Though martial arts is generally viewed as a solo sport, you get a sense of comradery with the school. Toxicity in any shape or form is not tolerated. Frustration is bound to occur with any form of training. The instruction here helps guide you through those frustrations and so that you can continue to improve.
