Folsom Point

Beautiful and sometimes quiet place to spend some time on folsom reservoir. Great place for a picnic or a family bbq or just to kick back and enjoy some time outside.

On Thursday we decided to visit with my friend Chantelle M, the mom of the Twins I nanny to beat the heat. Thanks to a group of girls at the lake who pointed us in the direction of the softer grounds. We walked comfortably barefoot in the water, feeling the soft mud and smooth grass gently tickle our feet. What a great area of Folsom Lake to visit! Our kids had a blast splashing and swimming in the water, collecting things they found and it definitely cooled us down on such a hot day! I would definitely recommend visiting this lake and we'll be back very soon!

Well first of all if you're trying to enjoy the day there's dog poop everywhere lol. Been here in the past and a lot has changed. Wasn't packed at all today when I went surprisingly ! Pretty nice people in the surrounding area also. This park has a huge dock area it's very long good for a walk down to the water. Boats come in quite often the later it gets. Mosquitos everywhere by the water bring repellent and sun screen ! This is an area mostly meant for boats to go out on the water at. Thanks for reading hope this helps !

This is where you may obtain a panoramic view of Folsom Lake; the view is spectacular despite the surrounding area is very despairingly parched. Currently, Folsom Lake's H2O level is decreasing drastically day by day so, it's imperative saving H2O is imminently key!Still, Folsom Point is one of the key attractions for Folsom Lake!

Great place to take the family. Multiple spots to hang out here with picnic tables in many places. This is a boat launch location with plenty of parking. Trails to walk along the lake and many areas to swim. Restrooms located at the boat launch and at the family picnic area.

This lake is one of my favorite spots around. Short drive from sacto. Recently spent the ENTIRE day out on my kayak fishing. Didn't get a single bite but still enjoyed every minute out there. It's a bit steep ($22) to launch a boat out here compared to other nearby lakes (i.e. Berryessa) but for a single car it's ($12), which I why I do all my kayaking here.

This is a great place to come relax on a sunny afternoon. I loved it so much the first time I came that I packed up my son and brought him the following the week. It was great the first 30 minutes until three tractors and tons of workers surrounded my spot to move around sticks and rocks and dirt. I totally understand it's their job, however I feel as though they could have done it early in the morning before people come there to spend their valuable time off with their children. Plus, I paid to get in and got up extra early to make sure we arrived early enough to get a nice shady spot. Unfortunately, all I heard for hours was loud beeping from the tractors and sticks being thrown everywhere. I definitely couldnt relax nor go out into the water with people surrounding my personal belongings. And I mean right next to me. I just felt like I was in the middle of a hazardous work zone not at the lake to relax. Other than this, it's a great place to be. I'm just kind of bummed that my day off with my son was completely ruined. We couldn't even hear each other talk it was so loud at times. I hope next time it wont be like this. I will definitely give it another chance.

Easy lake access! Plenty of parking. The sunsets are beautiful. Highly recommend this as a docking point for your boats.

Nice area but the person today at the window doesn't give you change afterwards if you pay through the envelope . Also was very lethargic and rude . Poor customer service. Told me there's nothing he can do about it.
