There are numerous hiking trails to discover and each one is just as breathtaking and beautiful! Parking has never been an issue with our yearly state park pass we park at the parking lot however before we had the state parking pass we parked near the gas station across the street and simply walked to the trails. There's also camping grounds at the lake which we have yet to explore however drove to the location and the views are gorgeous! Excited to go camping in the years to come!

We rented one of the pontoon boats from here: http://www.folsomlakemarinarentals.com and they were great. Going through the website you have to pay attention as they require a $1,000 cash deposit to take the boat out. Other than that it's super straightforward. Day of we got a call to check when we'd be in. Upon arrival we were greeted by Patches, the resident "guard dog" who loved my son. We got a thorough lesson on operating the boat, life jackets for all (including for the baby, which was awesome), and we were off. When we got back they did all the work to make sure I didn't hit the dock, and overall couldn't have been nicer. Super simple, super fun, great way to spend a day if you are in the area.

Lots of hiking and walking trails. The lake and trails are kid friendly and clean. ! Love that there were life jackets available for our little ones. Beautiful views!! Parking wasn't bad either, $10 for the day.

Our family has had a boat at Folsom for over 35 years and it has always had its home at The Marina. With sizable slips at a relatively reasonable rate we keep coming back year after year. The big knocking Folsom and Not Cal is their lack of water and most times the boat is dry docked by July 15th. The recent rain has allowed us to have access to the boat in late August and with a last minute summer vacation I returned to my roots and we went out on the boat.Ample parking available Marina with gas, snacks and ice Easy access to the lake Lake life is a good life!

I do not own a boat or rented one. A friend invited us for a ride on their boat so, this review is based on the beauty of the area. What a beautiful lake, it was very relaxing. The were quite a few people boating that day and there were no incidents. If you haven't yet and have the opportunity you should go for a ride there. The land scape is breath taking.

Sad to say, but the lake is a letdown for walkers/hikers. Must have been beautiful before but nowadays, it's very bleak and sad. We made the most of it, but I regret spending the $12 to visit for a walk/hike.

Beautiful lake! Nice to come here on a sunny day for some hiking/boating/hanging out in the lake. Not too crowded which is nice. $12 to park.

We love it!! We put our jet skis in a slip. It's been sooo easy and great to have. The guys at the marina store are so helpful with everything. You just pull up and they are there to assist. Best thing ever.
