I have been training at this barn for several months now with my son (age 11). I am so impressed with the great care that they take of the horses. Also, everyone is so warm and friendly. It is a great community of people who are passionate about riding. I am especially impressed with the owner/trainer, Nikki. She really knows how to bring out the best in you. I can see so much improvement in our riding during the few months that we have been working with Nikki. She is a great balance of pushing you to grow in a way that feels supportive and super positive. I just can't say enough good things about this barn.

Amazing trainers and staff with a heart of gold. My daughters ages 16 and 8 have had lessons for the past 7 months and we could not be happier. Beautiful clean location with a staff that makes you feel like family. My daughters call this place there second home. Would recommend to all.

The training and stable services at Five Oak Farms are the very best! My daughters take riding lessons and have improved beyond expectations. Nikki and Megan are a great training team! Our horse is stabled and I never have to worry about her. I know she is well cared for!

Could not wait to switch barns. Five Oaks decided they weren't going to feed lunch 8/18/18 because they are at a show. My horse was getting ulcers due to inconsistent feeding. We had to pay for more chiro than normal due to horses not being turned out regularly so now I have to do butt stretches and flat my horse for WEEKS (I do jumpers 1.05-1.15M). And if that doesn't improve, we will now have to pay for more expensive therapies. I was working towards moving up a division for my next show but was not able to. And my show season is canceled. New ownership has been nothing but problems. They aren't running fans anymore so my horse is sitting in a hot stall all day and sweating during summer. She has tried to poach clients which is hilarious given that she doesn't know how to set up basic exercises. Students that should still be learning to flat are allowed to jump. And she promises to take students far beyond her scope of knowledge. She would be great for beginners IF SHE WAS SAFE. She rode a horse bareback until it broke her back after being bucked off into a metal endgate and left same horse for a student to ride. She's filled the barn with her horses and increased the price for everyone else. I've seen one of her lesson horses give 3 lessons in one day. The outdoor arena needed new footing but she only made the decision to fix it after being scolded by a clinician. The outdoor arena is great but the indoor footing is poor and has no sprinklers so I avoid it out of concern for my Horse's lungs. Save yourself, your horse and your money. She is only in business because most of her clients are new to the sport and don't know any better. She also stopped feeding grain for lunch after switching to a cheaper brand due to a "12%" increase is hay prices and is charging an extra $30 to those who want it, hay prices always fluctuate and you turn a buck of training, not board. I do not think she is even a certified trainer. Her assistant is competent and gives good lessons which is her only saving grace. I have been riding for 19 years and have nothing but disgust for the treatment she gives to animals. Good riddance.

We have been here for 9 months now and I can say it is such a wonderful barn. The training is top notch, Nikki is an amazing teacher and my son has brought his riding skills up so much in a short time. The other trainers Gail and Catlin are also very good. The people boarding and in training program treat you like family. The barn and grounds are kept up nicely with improvements all the time. The barn manager Natalie is awesome, always helpful and responsive to any needs. We have our 2nd horse coming here tomorrow. I would recommend this place to everyone!

I am so beyond happy I have found Five Oak Farms for a place to ride at. The horses and people at the barn are extremely nice and encouraging and have become my second family! The owner is extremely knowledgeable about horse riding, training, and general horse welfare. She goes out of her way to make sure all the horses and people are comfortable and happy. I love taking lessons from Nikki! They are always so fun!! She is always so encouraging and never forces me to do anything I may not want to do. I only see myself getting better after each and every lesson with her. It is obvious she has a passion for horses and love for the sport and cares for each and every one of her students!

I have been waiting a very long time to write this review out of respect for the previous owner. The previous owner ran an incredible facility and it is a shame to watch her years of passion go down the drain. The new owner who shouldn't be allowed to retain the FOF name has driven out every client that previously road there and it's two incredible trainers and I mean that everyone who rode there has left. My daughter and I were the first to leave after I had, had enough of the new owner's lies, treatment, and extreme unprofessionalism. I am thankful we didn't have to endure our horses not being fed, too hot, not being turned out, bad footing and so much more but what we did endure was enough for me. I had agreed to let the owners daughter lease one of our horses (the pony) in exchange for board with the understanding that her daughter would take lessons from a certain trainer only and that, that trainer would be present should our pony go to shows or off property as well as need my permission to remove the horse from the property. Come to find out that not only was she constantly missing her lessons with said trainer the owner had decided to train her daughter herself (mind you she is not a certified trainer) and even rode our pony herself which was never agreed upon. She also used our pony for lessons and almost got away with removing our pony from the property without our or the trainers knowledge to be used in a lesson at another facility had it not been for a discussion that forced her to admit this was her plan. During this time she would say one thing to my face then turn around in a 24 hour period and say something else. She tried to justify her actions and her lies by using her trainers as escape goats and she caused all kinds of training issues with our pony that then needed to be corrected and she'd only leased her for 3 months. It didn't take me long before I'd had enough of her lies and unprofessional conduct and made the very difficult decision to move our horses. After moving our horses not only did I find out more information about how she misused our horse but unfortunately our pony, my daughter's beloved first horse, passed away, something I strongly believe never would have happened had we not had to move her. On our way out of the barn the owner offered us a deal to stay and my reply is, "You couldn't give me board and feed for free for a lifetime to get me to stay because there is no trust and I can not do business with someone I do not trust." I rode horses all my life, had our own ranch, come from generations of horse owners and riders, and my daughter started her riding career at FOF I have never seen such misconduct. It says a lot when an entire barn from the horse's and their owners to it's trainers and even the people who were leasing all leave a place most of them had been riding for years in less then a year after you take over a facility. We loved our barn family and we have all had to find different barns to go to because no one place could take in that many horses all at once. If you are new to the horse world this is not the place to go and if you're not I'm sure through word of mouth you've already heard the horror stories since the new owner came in. All I can say is don't let the beautiful grounds and the super sweet talk fool you. It is incredibly sad the turn of events because it was a wonderful place.

I can't say enough about this wonderful horse training facility tucked so beautifully into quiet rolling woods on a country road. I have been boarding my horse and training here since March. The training facility is outstanding - the outdoor arena is beyond beautiful. The barn is meticulously maintained and so clean. The stalls are large and horses are on daily turnouts....where there is green grass even in our scorching summers!!!I. I never worry about my horse - he is attentively cared for every day (and he knows it! He is a bit spoiled!) Lastly, and most importantly - the training staff are dedicated, passionate - and truly strive to bring the rider to the best they can be. I can't begin to say what a joy it is to work with a trainer that knows me, and my horse - and that has the expertise and knowledge to coach and train in such a positive and supportive manner. They care deeply about the student and the horse. Five Oak Farms is simply outstanding!!! I would give it more than five stars if I could!!!
