Fisheye Scuba

Went through our open water dive course with fisheye, the instructor Mike was amazing!! He gave us some great recommendations on personal gear the first time we met in the shop. Felt extremely comfortable in the water with him the entire time. He was extremely calm, encouraging, knowledgeable and just genuinely a great guy, fun to be around. We did the confined dives in the owners pool in Folsom, the open water dives we completed in Monterey. Another instructor, Jesse, joined us on the Monterey dives, equally fantastic instructor! Each time we visited the shop, the staff were very friendly, informed, and helpful. The owner Carly was a great source of info on dive gear as well and was very prompt getting us all the info for set up and completion of the course. Ultimately we completed the course feeling competent in the skills needed to dive.Would HIGHLY recommend Fisheye for your scuba courses!!

Great location near Folsom Lake. Experienced staff. PADI course director in house. Courses include pool dives and boat dives. Well qualified in house instructors.

I just got back from the Costa Rica trip. It was amazing, as usual. The diving was a little rough, but we got to see octopus, bull sharks, and more urchins than I have ever seen in one place. The star fish were amazing. The 2 resorts we stayed at were beautiful. There were a lot of hills and stairs but still very nice. The tours Curt and Carly arranged were fabulous. My roommate was just delightful. As as a professional clown, I could certainly appreciate the blue hair. Just one warning, the waterfall tour is 530 stairs to go down to the pools, which means 530 stairs up. But I did it, yahoo for me. Oh, yeah, the hanging bridges tour is a 4 mile hike, but OMG, the nature, monkeys, sloths, snakes, frogs, trees, flowers, and birds...just WOW! I don't think I'd go back to dive. However, just to see the country is freaking amazing. Another fabulous trip! Thank you, Carly and Curt.

I needed a refresher before my first dive trip after several years. They were well organized, easy to schedule, worked with me on gear, and efficiently completed my PADI ReActivate pool session in a few hours. They had the most reasonable prices I found in the area too. I will use them again in the future and look forward to diving with them.

I've done a couple of trips with fisheye scuba,And they will be my go to dive trip company going foward. The personal attention they provide is far above all others. It's 1 stop trip shopping without the drama. They do it all for u.

BUYER BEWARE!! The poorly trained, very young employees will rent you wetsuits that are shredded in all the wrong places- terribly wrong and also convince you that the wetsuit you can only get to your knees in the dressing room is "too big" and that it will be easier to get on when it's wet- also wrong. I brought my 2 children in to try wetsuits on. Noticed a small hole in one of them and Brandon, the employee, assured me that it would work just fine and that he didn't have anymore in that size. My other child was given a wetsuit based on his weight and height to try on. We tried for half an hour in the dressing room and could barely get it beyond the knees. Brandon assured us that the wetsuit was too big and that it would be easier to put on once it was wet.We took his word for it, and paid $165 to rent them for 10 days.My youngest child got into his wetsuit, and in the sunlight, I noticed the seam ripping apart on his back and so I asked him to bend over so I could see how much was exposed. I was completely shocked to see underwear through a large hole and that almost the whole seem was ready to blow. One more pull on, and it probably would've completely blown and yet they expected us to use this for 10 days with no problems?My other child, who Brandon told "it is too big and will be easier to get on when it's wet" got into the pool with it and tried to get it on. But still, barely went passed the knees, even after coating with liquid dish soap and tugging for almost an hour. I immediately drove back to the store within two hours of renting these, and was told that I could not get a refund. I was told my only option was to get store credit, even though they did not have any more wetsuits in the right sizes to rent to me.The employee, Brandon, shrugged it off so I asked him to call the store owner/his boss. He rudely agreed and then proceeded to go in the back room to call her instead of calling her right there in front of me.He came back, saying he would only offer store credit, even after I showed him the sign that said they would accept returns for exchange OR credit your account. At that point, asked for her phone number and called her myself. Her name is Carly Bradley and she calls herself the CEO of Fish Eye Scuba. I explained the whole problem to her, and she said that the employee, Brandon, had told her a completely different story on the phone. She argued with me for a while saying that she just wanted my kids to be warm and that I should just continue renting the shredded wetsuit for my youngest. They didn't have another in that size. She argued with me back-and-forth for maybe 10 minutes out loud in the store on speaker with other customers listening. Finally, she told Brandon to give me a refund. I also wanted my paperwork back that had my credit card number on it. He said that it would be shredded. I demanded he gave it to me right there and finally he did and then I left.Tell me, would you want your child's underwear/private parts exposed while they are bending over and playing on a pubic beach? (The light gray circle is underwear showing through the hole).***EDITED TO ADD*** Looks like this place has several one star reviews by others who have been scammed. As another reviewer noted, the owner Carly is "legit crazy, a liar, and a scam" artist. Agreed!

Padi IDC shop that organizes the best trips at great prices. They are knowledgeable and carry the basics of what you need on hand. Looking forward to traveling with them more in the future!

I suggest going somewhere else for anything scuba related the bad comments about the owner are true she's just simply not the nicest human out there would rather give my money to someone kinder. As expected she just argues w costumers and doesn't rectify the situation. I understand she is a business owner doesn't mean you still can't be a good human and be kind. I understand the policy not mad about that I'm just writing this to the people that your mean. Life happens and it's not the serious. My advice to the owner is grow up and be a kind person and learn to treat others w more respect your loosing business my girl. Maybe get therapy you need it :)

Carly and her team are simply the best dive professionals I have dove with. My son and I took a dive trip to Cozumel with Fisheye Scuba and I cannot say enough about the diving and travel experience. We felt 100% safe in the water and our dives were amazing. We were able to see so many wonderful creatures in the water and even out of the water at our resort. The resort was beautiful, food amazing and we felt right at home with the rest of group that came on the trip. I haven't dove for awhile and had a little panic moment and Kurt was there to help me in a non-second. My son and I also took our Nitrox Course from Carly and she was super helpful! I would hightly recommend Fisheye Scuba! Professional, kind and caring!
