Ok so I'm at Lowes looking at houseplants and see an oddball. I'm like, I paid XX.XX for a rooted cutting! Here's the entire plant for almost half that. Seriously. For under 17 bucks I bought a mini monstera (rhaphidophora tetrasperma), a a beautiful vine that can get long and grow across a room.It was very healthy and well foliaged. Not all leggy like some nurseries put out.A Fisher sticker on the pot got them this review.

The two women in the office at Fisher Nursery were extremely rude and pretentious.Came in as a business owner wanting to open a wholesale account. When I entered the office, no one had their masks on. I asked to open an account and had a receipt for my seller's permit which included my permit number. They turned me away saying that I needed my actual certificate. When I asked the woman at the front desk, where I could obtain a copy of my certificate since I was not sent one in the mail, she did not know. The other woman present who I assume is responsible for opening accounts then told me "Department of Equalization". When I asked if there was a way for me to print it at their office they told me no.I then asked to briefly view the will-call area of plants to get an idea of inventory and was also told no. After persisting that it would be a quick peek in and it was important to see their availability before opening a business account, the woman finally agreed to radio down to the will-call area to see if I could view. She finally agreed to let me see the plants and was very adamant about me not taking any longer than 5 minutes because the employee in the will-call section was "very busy and has stuff to do".When I arrived to will-call, the woman there was EXTREMELY nice, told me I could take my time and would answer ANY questions that I have and was literally the only employee I interacted with that was kind and helpful. After driving almost 2 hours to get to the nursery, and driving another 2 hours back, I came to find out that all I had to do was log into my online account to print the certificate. How does a business which operates by opening accounts presumably almost every day not know this?

I have been buying wholesale from them for a while. They recently let my order sit on a truck for a week or two and when I got it it looked terrible. Their quality is usually okay but the reps are rude, they are overpriced and they are the kind of place to label a lot of their plants "Houseplant" and have very wrong non-specific info on them. I am a grower too, it's not hard to label your plants, therefore helping guarantee that customers can care for them correctly and they don't die. I am not blaming the growers or workers themselves, just the higher up who make these decisions. Fisher is no longer a good houseplant vendor. I might use them in a pinch but there are more affordable vendors with a more interesting selection that have nicer reps out there so our company will not be buying from them as long as we can help it.
