Firevine Wood Fired Pizza

Chef Dave is amazing! He arrive promptly and set up quickly and got the pizza's rolling. Our guests all loved the selection of food provided. We could not have been more happy with selecting FireVine to cater our rehearsal dinner!

Firevine / Dave and his crew catered our wedding two summers ago. The on-the-spot nature of a pizza oven trailer was a great addition to our outdoor wedding in the woods. He accommodated a number of our requests with no issue and was communicative, and helpful. We met him when he catered a friend's wedding the year prior. He has that kind of event style down pat and can clearly work around the wildly different scenarios that each venue can present - particularly considering he had never seen it until arriving on our wedding day. We were lucky enough to have them cater our wedding and I am so happy we found them. Since my husband loves pizza we eat it quite often, and their pizza tops the other pizza we've had. It was the perfect size, cooked correctly and tasted amazing. Since the pizza was cooked in a traveling pizza oven I was a little skeptical but my fears were wiped away as soon as I took my first bite. Everyone at our wedding (250 guests plus staff) said that this pizza was delicious and everything they wanted at a wedding.As far as service, Dave and the team were incredible. They were punctual, great to work with during the planning process and kept the high tempo energy in the room during the wedding. They were able to accommodate our large party, guest dietary restrictions and continued to provide outstanding customer service. I would definitely work with them again in the future and highly recommend them to others!

This pizza is amazing. It has a distinct flavor unlilke I have had before, thanks to the wood fire. You can tell the ingredients are quality. A pizza isn't a pizza without a good sauce and this one was spot on. When you pair this up with great beer, you know its a good time. We will definately be back!

I am picky about my pizza. I want a thin crust but not too thin. I want a crispy- chewy crust but not too thick. I also would like a light hand with the sauce and want high quality toppings that are a bit more creative than pepperoni. That being said, we hired Firevine sight unseen, pizza untasted for a bday party (about 20-30 adults and kids). Taking a chance? Yes. Satisfied with the pizza? Absolutely! Pizzas came out piping hot from the little mobile pizza factory parked in our driveway. Guests were raving and many said it was the best pizza they had ever tasted. David (the owner) and his staff are responsive, professional and will work with you to get the most out of your party and pizza experience. Now all we have to do is come up with another excuse to get David to come out and cook pizzas for us :)

On a cool fall evening, the urge for wood-fired pizza struck me. I wasn't close to my usual favorites so I madly searched through Yelp for a place that was less than 10 miles from my current location.I've been spoiled by some darn good pizzas and have been sickened by sone bad ones. My criteria: if it's going to be fattening, it must taste very good.I chose Firevine based on location and reviews around the internet.This place seemed to be doing decent business, but just about everything was slow. It took 15 minutes to get a salad, 25 minutes for garlic bread, but the pizza came out in about 60 minutes, due to kitchen Snafus. We were the only people seated in the restaurant for a while, and the rest of the orders were takeout or delivery. In addition, as soon as another group took a seat in the dining room, a pizza, which looked just like mine, was placed on their table. After hearing mumblings of "Did you order this...I wanted olives...Are you sure?" the table flagged down the waitress and told her about receiving the wrong pizza. The waitress looked at us (I think she knew the mistake), and walked into the kitchen yelling "make a new one.Meanwhile the people who arrived long after us, and nearly got our pizza, were served a full 20 minutes before us. No apologies whatsoever.The bland, small dining area thankfully had a television, but the temperature was on the cool side (Thermostat said 66).At least our pizza arrives (FINALLY!) While not possessing the combination chewy and crispy crust from a true brick oven, the crust was still enjoyable. The cheese was adequate, and the toppings were standard, and nothing gourmet about them. Overrall, the service was polite, but slow. We used Firevine Wood Fired Pizza for our daughters Wedding reception. It was a great hit. Everyone loved the fresh baked pizzas and hors d'oeuvres. The smell and ambiance created by the Wood Fired Oven was wonderful. Even my brother-in-law said "I don't normally care for pizza, but they were great!"

I knew I didn't want a traditional wedding menu (Chicken, Fish, Beef) and had my heart set on pizza-our favorite food! After doing some research, I had narrowed it down to 3 vendors. My first choice (based strictly off of reviews), was already booked on our date but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise! David was so wonderful to work with and the food was absolutely delicious! We had three different appetizers for our cocktail hour, and two salads and an assortment of pizzas for dinner. The pizza was cooked on site in Firevine's portable wood fired oven. It was amazing! Our guests loved it so much we ran out of pizza because so many people went back for seconds (and thirds)! I want to have another party just so we can hire them again. I highly recommend David and Firevine Wood Fired Pizza for all of your pizza catering needs!

I wish I could do half stars!!! The taste and the quality of the pizza is amazing, they start making it when you order so it's super fresh. The pizza is not large at all though, I had 3 pieces and I wanted more! At 15 dollars it was kinda expensive for a pizza that could only feed 2. Plus I was still kinda hungry! Nevertheless, we ordered the daisy and it was excellent! I went on their website and saw much more options I didn't know they had! I will be trying them out whenever I'm at Loomis basin brewery next :)

Dave at Firevine was easy to deal with, efficient, friendly, and his food was incredible! Easily the favorite of our guests. Hire dave for your wedding... or any other event. He went above and beyond on presentation and the quality of the food was incredible.
