Fields of Ice

We had a group of 10 kids and everyone had an excellent time. Everyone was skating without supports by the middle of the session too!

Great customer service, very clean facility. I was appreciative of a gentlemen providing skating advice to better assist my daughter. It helped greatly. I would recommend clearly distinguishing the two lines when arriving. We had to wait in one line for 20 minutes due to there not being a clear distinction between already paid via need to pay.

Love all the staff at Turlock Fields of Ice! After they cleared the ice before the 4PM session, we were lucky to be able to watch a surprise demonstration session by former Olympic Figure Skater Beata Handa, a beautiful performance. The staff and skaters were very respectful of Covid protocols. It was great to see families and young people able to go outside and enjoy a family friendly activity!It's easy to pre-purchase tickets online and the wristband/skate rental staff were all super nice and helpful. Wonderful job Fields of Ice!

Have gone here quite a few times with my kids and have thrown 2 birthday parties with them. Always happy with the customer service and accommodations they make to serve any needs I may of had. Owners are always very kind and welcoming may it be with their corn maze or ice rink. I think of it as a great place to take a date, family, or a party gathering. It is wholesome good clean fun for all ages. I appreciate the hospitality and will return to keep this local business going.

The good: very cute place, tons of parking, restrooms, snack bar. The bad: no refunds, uncomfortable skates, melty ice. I brought my 2 daughters and 1 friend to skate here a few days ago. Spent $53 for 3 tickets. I had just taken the girls a few days prior to skate at Modesto on ice as we live in Modesto but they were sold out at the time we wanted to go so decided to come here instead. As soon as they got on the ice they said that it was really hard to skate because the ice was very melty and also complained that their feet hurt really bad. They were on there for less than 5 minutes. Mind you they skated 2 days prior at the other place for a full session just fine so it was kind of weird that their feet hurt and wanted to leave. I asked if I could get a refund. They were adamant that I could not and that I could change the tickets for another day. I went ahead and did that but my girls refuse to go back there and keep asking if we can just go to Modesto instead. The supervisor I talked to stated that Modesto uses the same skates and that he recommends wearing thick socks because the ice skates aren't made for comfort. I don't know if that is true or not or if maybe the skates were old or too new but whatever the case my kids don't want to go back. Since I can't get a refund, I guess I'm out $53. I don't think that is right. They should be more understanding especially when kids are involved. I could see if they skated for half an hour and then said their feet hurt but they literally didn't even skate at all. Thumbs down!

We had a birthday party here for my grand daughter's 11 th. I purchased the 15 skater option. It only came with 10drinks. I didn't quite understand that. You would think if you have 15 skaters you would get 15 drinks. The package Also came with 3 large pizzas which were not very good. The crust was terribly hard and thick. We never had anyone come over to the table until the end when the lady said," please get off the table." My 6 year old was sitting on the edge of the table during present opening. She grabbed up their reservation signs and bucket that held cheese peppers, dumped it in trash and walked off. She was pretty rude. We love to come here. We visit many times throughout the season. All in all our birthday party experience was not great.

Me and my sister went here for the first time and it was also our first time Ice skating. It's expensive in my opinion we paid $30 for the both of us. When they gave us our skates mine were fine but my sisters blade for the skate wasn't in the center so she couldn't walk so she asked for some new ones and they were nice about it and gave her new ones. I feel like I would recommend this place if you already know how to ice skate

I love skating at seasonal outdoor rinks. This place stands out. It's large, the ice is in great condition, and it's in a barn in the middle of nowhere. Farmer Ron, the proprietor, takes great pride in the work he puts in to it. The atmosphere is great and it's a great skate!

1.5 hours of throwback fun from decades ago. I took my kids here to try ice skating for their first time and my first time in at least 25 years. Getting skates was fairly smooth. The additional pvc pipe supports were $8 (rental) for the kids to learn on but were worth it. They kept the kids from failing and kept others from falling into/hurting my kids. Genius idea. Skates were ok, with maybe some needing some attention to the shredded laces. Otherwise the skating was great with lots of beginners and kids having a great time learning and having fun on the ice. Most people were considerate of others. Super fun for the whole family and well worth it. Love the covered structure and not too loud music! Nicely done

What a fun outing!!!Had a great time. Skates were easy to receive and the rink was big. Plenty of seating to rest if needed. Hot chocolate,coffee for the cold.
