Ok, your Captain is Rickey, an excellent fishing guide. The first mate is Piper, the kindest German short hair in town. This is a dynamic duo. I hired Rickey, via word of mouth from a different guide, to take my dad and I out for his 73rd birthday. What a great recommendation! Rickey was on time, clean boat, good rods/reels, and ample space for the four of us. We did a half day striper fishing in the Sacramento. My dad and I are from Washington state, and he had never caught a striper before. Rickey fixed that up real quick. Rickey grew up on the river in Freeport and has been fishing it since. He has great knowledge of where the fish are stacking up. He got us over multiple hot areas, a few double headers. The action was great. We kept a few to taste them, but released many more. Great day!I need to make this abundantly clear. In my experience, most fishing guides are assholes. Rickey is not an asshole. By any means. The guy is down right enjoyable. And with his first mate being a charismatic pup it makes for a great team. If you have company in town and want to do something fun, call up Rickey. His prices are really reasonable, he catches fish, and he's a cool dude. A much more unique Sacramento day than just hitting the links. I plan on being a repeat costumer.

What an "Epic" Day with Feeding Frenzy Sportfishing ! Captain Rickey Acosta was so knowledgeable in locating our target fish ( White Sturgeon ). All parties aboard experienced catching their first sturgeon! So exciting !Captain Rickey was very laid back & patient with us beginners. His expertise landed our party of 4, four beautiful slot White Sturgeon. A trip of a lifetime. I also have to give deckhand "Jordan" his "Props". He was so helpful and his energy was out of this world.Thank you once again for adventure of a lifetime ! You have helped me check off this one important bucket list item! Hope too see you soon !

Fished on the river today 10/19/2020, Rickey the Capt got us out before daylight and had the first fish on within 45 mins. This was my first time fishing for salmon in the Sacramento River, and Rickey was extremely knowledgable with the tides, currents and bait setups.All in all we had a great day and will be returning again to fish with Feeding Frenzy Sportfishing.

I've gone on multiple striper trips with Captain Rickey and had a complete blast. I have little/no knowledge when it comes to fishing and was SO nervous and he was patient and talked me through it all. He actually got me to catch my first fish! He's coast guard certified and knows the rivers like the back of his hand. I definitely felt taken care of on his boat. Regardless of your fishing experience, if you're a pro or beginner, Captain Rickey is a fun guy who is extremely knowledgeable and is guaranteed to show you a good time on the water. Looking forward to salmon and sturgeon trips in the future!

Best fishing trip ever! I was looking for a fishing trip to take my elder father-in-law, husband and son, and Captain Rickey was awesome! Very helpful, knowledgeable, kind and accommodating! My father-in-law had a great time that he now wants to go regularly! Already asked Rickey to save-the-date for our next trip with him! Highly recommend!
