Fat Lou’s Cafe

Recently went to Fat Lou's. Mr. Louis is very friendly and appeared accommodating. Ordered a burrito, quesadilla and 2 tacos, water & bottled soda. Both burrito & quesadilla with " chicken " were tasty. But no guacamole or sour cream was not available due to delivery issue. Pick them up at a local store then, pretty simple. The 2 tacos my grandson ordered from Mr. Louis, his request was to fry the tortillas. No problem Mr. Louis said, he just like my grandson, picky! But you got it!! 2 chicken tacos fried, plain period! When waitress brought the tacos my grandson looked at me with this look. The tortilla and chicken were sitting there and it appeared it had been put in microwave (tortilla). Once my grandson picked it up it tore and totally crumbled in his hands. Doesn't do that if you fry tortillas 2 - Chicken Taco plain $181 -Chicken Burrito $201- Chicken Quesadilla $201- Bottle Soda1-Bottle Water$64.00 + cash tip for waitress Ridiculously priced And the outside area patio needs attention if you want patrons with pets to sit outside

Incredible meal at Fat Lou's. We were drawn in by the chili verde and ended up getting the half/half plate. Chili verde and chili relleno combo with rice, beans, and home made corn tortillas. I feel like a measure of good Mexican food is the rice and beans, and honestly the rice is the best I've had in a long time. We will return for the bbq as it smelt amazing.Great indoor and outdoor seating options with a view of the river. The staff is so kind. Do yourself a favor and grab a modelo from the fridge, place your order, enjoy the view, and get ready to unbutton your jeans because this meal will have keep you coming back for more!

Great food and service! A must try spot! Great selection of homemade salsa's. The burger were delicious, i almost order another one to go. The Guacamole was fresh including everything else we ate. Great choice!

WOW! This place is a gem!!! Just 15 minutes outside of Elk Grove, it's so worth the scenic drive!!! It is a family owned restaurant and they treat you like part of the family when you are there. The food tastes like you are sitting down in their home with them. It's fresh, authentic, and made with care and love. The Chile verde was the best I've ever eaten! We say on the small patio out front since we had our dog. They even brought out fresh water for him. Can't wait to go back!

A hidden gem! We were passing by and decided to give it a try- we were impressed! Everything is sooo good and the customer service is exceptional. Clean place good price. We are coming back!

Great Mexican food and service. Super nice. Bbq in the summer was so good too. The chile verde was particularly good

We were hanging out at Ko Ket resort having margaritas and listening to a band and I found this place on Yelp. I guess because the weather kinda sucked it was empty. I had the chili verde and steak ranchero combo and really liked it. Joe actually also gave me some chicana too, not sure why, but it was all very tasty. Both Joe and his wife were really friendly and cool. I'm looking forward to trying more menu items next time I'm in Isleton. Def recommend!

Just driving through Walnut Grove, and saw this restaurant with a sign about their tamales. Went and ordered six tamales 3 green pork and 3 I think he said red chili cheese tamales. Some of the best tamales we've ever had. I saw other people eating tacos, steaks, and burgers that looked incredible I didn't have time or I would've ordered other things as well.I did meet Lou, super cool

Lou's the man the food is amazing my only harp is the portions have gotten significantly smaller and the price stayed the same I'll come regardless tho
