ESCAPE Modesto

My wife really wanted to do an escape room. We booked it for our family and we are so glad we did! The room was definitely challenging but fun and the staff was great with the occasional hint when needed. We all had fun and will be back. We highly recommend @escapemodesto for a great time!

We tried the King Tut room (pre-Covid) and barely escaped CSI: Modesto. The puzzles were challenging and it definitely helped being able to think from multiple perspectives. A good sized team is a must. It was a really great local choice for a fun night with our teens!The staff was very accommodating when I sent an email requesting a later time slot due to unexpected circumstances earlier in the day we had booked.

Great time with family! My sister arranged for the 7 of us to go here Christmas Eve. We were able to do the intro level room - King Tut. They do give you clues if you get stuck. We used a few clues but later we told we needed very few clues compared to the average group.We completely the room - successfully- in 55 mins!It was an absolute blast!!

Bought this for my husbands birthday and we took our ten year old. We failed, but my son had a great time climbing about the room and solving the puzzles with us. We would def go back - but I will brush up on my maths first!!

There were 9 teenagers (8 boys & 1 girl) all 16 years old!!!! They had a blast!!!! Our host (Jordan) was fabulous! He was very nice & extremely patient with this very loud group!! I really appreciated that!!The only thing i heard from the kids was that they really didn't feel like they were in King Tut's Tomb. So maybe the atmosphere could use some work... but they still had fun & I love the idea of this!! I was only supervising this round.... can't wait to try the CSI room!!!*Ohhh... Make sure you have someone to do math. The kids got it, but I hadn't even considered there would be math problems!

Didn't know what to expect but quickly realized we were in for a great time. Whole family had a blast we will be back to try again.

I want to start off by saying the customer service was fantastic. We went for a double date on 8/19 and this young lady was our game master. She was bubbly and easygoing. She told us her name a few times but i forgot it, i think her name is Carime? She was very cool. My only issue here was the escape room itself. We did the Prison Break room, which is marketed as their mid-difficulty level room. This room has only an 11-12% escape rate (with their "easiest" one only being 20% escape). I only recommend this business to people who are very polished escape artists. I've done a handful of rooms--enough to feel confident in one--but this one had a particular clue that you will understand only if you do a lot of escape rooms. As much as I did love our Game Master, i do wish she gave us better and more useful clues. That being said, its not her fault that the room isn't planned well. For a mid-difficulty level room, you shouldn't only have a 11-12% escape rate. One thing i would like to say specifically about Prison Break, is that 2 people are confined in one space. We only had 4 people, so this did not work in our favor, especially since none of us were polished escape artists. There is one person locked in a cell and one person confined to a bar by handcuffs. Take this into consideration when booking your room. If we knew this was going to happen, we would not have chosen this room. Overall, it was a fine experience, but i don't think I'll come back here unless i get better at escape rooms. I definitely recommend that more experienced people do visit this business for a nice challenge.

We had a blast at escape MODESTO. We did king tuts treasure. We were very skeptical at first because we do escape rooms every chance we get. We've done some where clues and puzzles don't make sense. Escape MODESTO did a terrific job! We were very pleased and we Escaped in 57min! We will be back for the other rooms!

We had a great time at Escape Modesto! Evan was our host all 3 times. He was awesome! We had our family in town from Florida and did it as a fun activity. well- we had so much fun we went back again and again to do all three rooms. We can't pick a favorite because they are all unique and creative - and all challenging. This is a fun family activity and tests communication. Great way to tease each other! We strongly recommend this activity with friends, family or as a team bonding. We will be back anytime there is a new room! Thank you for the wonderful experience(s) Evan!

Our group had such a great time. Great host. We can't wait to come back and try another room.
