I was in the Manteca area for work and wanted a nice spot for dinner. We found this place online, decided to give it a try, and definitely didn't regret it. We ordered steaks, wine, and some appetizers--everything was excellent. The restaurant itself is a solid 5 stars, and the food is just as impressive. The service could be improved, but overall, compared to other restaurants in the area, this place feels quite upscale.

Woke up and decided today was going to be a Solo Date day. Ended my evening here at Ernie's for my first time, and it did not disappoint. One of the specials for the evening was a burrata with blistered tomatoes. So delicious! I could have actually ordered two of those and been content. But noooooo... I made sure no calories were left behind this evening. The Wellington was perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. Really happy with my choice. The wine reduction was a perfect complement to the Wellington, though the carrots left more to be desired. I paired the Franks Family Zin with my main course, and at the end of the day, this is collectively a meal I'd return for.The only thing I didn't quite care for was the tapenade served with the bread as a starter. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but I could have done without, as it didn't have the flavor punch I prefer in a tapenade.Yarixa (99.9% sure I'm butchering the spelling of her name) was a pleasure to talk to throughout my dinner at the bar area. She made some great recommendations and was very helpful. It was a slow, early Sunday evening, so nice and quiet yet hospitable and social in house. A very nice first experience and I look forward to trying other menu items.

Came here for an anniversary and Father's Day dinner. We had "happy anniversary" imprinted on our menu, but did not get complimentary desserts like the couples next to us. Their server celebrated their anniversary and brought over a plate with dessert which had hand written chocolate that said "happy anniversary". We didn't get anything from our waitress, but at least our hostess greeted us. It was somewhat disappointing especially since today was a special occasion and we didn't get to experience what the other couple had on their special day. Other than that - the food tasted amazing and everything was reasonably priced for being a high rated steak house in the area. My favorite dishes were the bacon scallops and the wagyu 6oz steak - both cooked to perfection. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and the wagyu melted in your mouth. One of the best I've had for sure and I've been to quite of few high end steak houses. The ambiance was romantic, music was playing gently in the background and the lighting was dimmed. They had fresh flower on every table and a candle was lit.

Located next to a scary casino place that used to be the theater I went to as a kid, Ernie's is my go-to when treating family in the valley to a special occasion. The service is always on point, the wine selection leans local, and it's cute and dressy inside. I've ordered pastas and risottos and they've all been great, and my dining companions have enjoyed the steak. The mushroom risotto in particular was delicious and complex, and I'm not used to portion sizes that generous (with equally generous wine pours!).

Came here for my dad's birthday because we wanted to spoil him a little bit. I'm vegan, so I was a little nervous about the menu. When the waiter came by, we mentioned my preferences to her and she told us she would go talk to the chef to see what they could do and they told me they could make me a vegan pasta. They brought all the food out and brought me a big plate of veggie pasta adorned with pretty little edible flowers. My dad and I were the only ones who finished our entire meals! Needless to say the pasta was delicious and I loved that they were able to accommodate me. Very nice staff and the ambiance in there was very nice too.

I imagine this is THE place to go in Manteca when you hit it big at the Casino next door or if you just want an upscale steakhouse experience while in the area. Pricy but worth every bite. I would recommend the steak tartare, oysters, steaks and roasted chicken. I'd skip the Caesar salad and the French onion soup. Those were a bit bland. Cocktails and wine list were fabulous. Service was very efficient and friendly despite only having one server on the whole floor. The place isn't huge but she worked super hard to make sure everything came out in a timely manner. Would definitely come again!

The ambience was just what I needed.Classy and romantic. I ordered the mai tai drink and OMG sooooo good!My date ordered a ribeye and I got the wagyu.Mouthwatering steak cooked perfectly, the mushroom risotto was delicious also. We also wanted to try their crab fried rice, which I didn't really care for. Overall-besides waiting an hr to get our food, food was hot, cooked right and delicious.

Don't order their mashed potatoes. Ambience was beautiful, service was okay, we got in at 7:40 and didn't leave until 10:45. So don't be in a rush when you get there. But this was our third time coming here for Valentine's Day and their mashed potatoes tasted like boxed potatoes again. Their creamed spinach and heirloom carrots were good, we've never had a bad steak there. But we were a table of 6, and nobody ate their mashed potatoes.

First off first I don't write reviews, so this is new Food the most important to a restaurant, ribeye is banging people complaining it just comes with the meat on the plate but it clearly says al la carte (basic Latin),My date and I were served by a nice young man who made excellent recommendations, and was very polite and helpful. My date got the salmon and fried rice she loved it salmon was tender and fell apart in your mouth wonderfully, food didn't take too long but don't eat before because your gonna be stuffed and you gotta save room for dessert because the dessert is amazing Sever recommend chocolate cake and it didn't miss 10/10 place highly recommend Paid 200 for my meal but hey I didn't expect it to be cheap and neither should you if your coming a place like this the area outside is a little weird but they do a great job of changing it from the inside it's beautiful and welcoming ambiance
