So it seems "Master" Randy is up to the same crap he's been doing for damn near 20 years. Back in 2003 when I was in the 4th grade the dojo did a demo at my grade school back when it was on Country Club. I signed up due to being bullied in school however unknown at the time my bullies were in his advanced class. "Master" Randy never stopped them, fat shamed kids including myself. Recently I was there with my friend to observe a class because he wanted my opinion on wether he should sign his kid up. First thing I noticed was a new kid getting bullied a bit by senior students and of course the instructors doing nothing. All I can say is stay away from this place or any other dojos that make you sign a contract.

Ernie Reyes West Coast martial arts is a scam! "Master" Randy Ott only cares for you until you sign your contract and then he throws you to the dogs! He asks you to also teach at a certain time but doesn't give you a discount or reimburse you for your time. But most of all he does not fulfill his promise of teaching you martial arts or at least proper martial arts! Don't waste your money but if you want to try it more power to you. As for his wife her kickboxing classes are actually pretty awesome.

After returning from an 18 month tour of duty in Afghanistan, we decided to sign our son up for Martial Arts classes at West Coast Martial Arts Studio, unfortunately within two weeks of signing our son up he was diagnosed with several major health complications. Thus our son was unable to attend classes. Our son unfortunately suffered an even greater setback in May and had to have major surgery during the summer which required even more down time. Our family financial situation has majorly suffered because I was unable to work because I needed to stay home and assist with his care. I honestly cant say anything negative about the Studio itself; however, sadly i can say that the owner would NOT work with us as far as reducing or terminating the monthly fee. I reached out to the owner 10 months into the 1 year contract, of which our son had only attend 3 or 4 sessions during the 2 weeks before he was diagnosed with sickle cell and once again during the 12th month to ask about terminating the last 1 or 2 payments. His response both times was an immediate "No". Personally I feel that speaks to the character of the person. If we had not paid the 1st 10 months, on time and in full, i could maybe understand. But when a customer comes to you 10 months in to a contract, where you have recieved $1000.00 dollars for, the child (6) hasnt been to your studio because he has been extremely ill, and the family explains the financial hardship of the fee, well in my book you have sunk to a new low. So, NO, I could not nor would not ever refer West Coast Martial Arts to any Veteran or civilian family with a good conscious. As soldiers in the US military we are held to a greater moral standard, a common decency, that was not displayed by the owner of this studio that should have been, as a business owner.

It wont let me put zero stars or i would. I was at tonights class and heard Master Randy call out a student and talk smack in front of everyone in attendance about having a belly! This man if you can call him that is a bully! To body shame a young kid in front of his friends and peers is unacceptable. Then when confronted by the mother he basically turned and walked away. The mother also mentioned they had a very important family function to go to the day of the tournament and was subject to comments mocking their priorer commitment. Master Randy should not be teaching our kids if he is going to be bullying and act hostile to kids and parents who in my opinion pay way to much to be putting up with such unprofessionalism! I stopped by to see if this place would be suitable for my kids and after witnessing what i did tonight the answer is NO!! I will not recommend this place to anyone!

I honestly wish I could give this place a ZERO STAR rating. First off, if you are looking for a real fighting school to attend this is not the place, if you're looking to become a fantasy fighter, this is the perfect spot. I attended this "school" a while back and honestly the management sucks ( especially that slimy reptilian rat looking creature, randy, seriously.. dude has no class whatsoever and is at the lowest of the low, in my book) I just got tired off all the games and money hungry bastards that are in this place. It's super over priced for what they teach, you're better off going on YouTube to be honest, you'll learn way more. I don't know how someone can call these clowns black belts, they've never fought a day in their life and everything they claim to teach as far as respect, discipline, decency, and honesty, they lack in every aspect. You guys don't have to take my word for it, but keep it in mind.
