This is a wonderful place to take the kids. There are animals to see here, including wild peacocks and pens which hold chickens, pigs and more. The animals on certain days you can see until 4 pm which then the gate is locked up. Be aware of the timing as there's a playground and the kids might have so much fun playing there, they forget about the wonderful animals. My kid had a great time at the playground where there is a lot to see and roam around. There's a cute wooden chicken structure and uphill areas to climb with ropes or slide down. There is a steep drum section (didn't see any drumsticks to use..) and cool quirky things like a wind up big toy that plays old McDonald has a farm when you wind it up. Great place for a picnic and enjoy the playground with animals nearby!

Emma Prusch Farm Park is an amazing public park with a bit playground and farm animals. My wife found this place as we planned a trip to Santa Cruz, sort as a 1/2 way pit stop if the kids had too much energy. The kids loved it, right away we were greeted by peahens and roosters in the parking lot. The playground area is huge, several structures for kids of most ages. Our older son went crazy while our 1 year old played on the swings and climbing areas. The farm animals sections are cool, a staff member spent the time to tell our son the names and ages of the animals. The goat area is fun, we got to see them during feeding time. We had a lot of fun and want to return.

We were invited to a birthday party here and it is such a hidden gem. Something to keep in mind for summer days, the slides are metal.Pros:Parking was easy and close to the park so no long walk for a toddler. There are multiple playgrounds and swings. There are benches surrounding the playgrounds so that's useful for supervision. Cons:Bathrooms were not too clean which can be expectedEvenings can be quite overwhelming with so many kids The farm was a bit underwhelming - 2 pigs, a bunny, a few chickens and peacocks We will definitely be back here to play!

Great park with a working farm. There's seating located around the playground and bathroom facilities across. Nice big field to play ball, fly a kite and clean pathway to bike. A solid playground if you're in the area.

Such an amazing park in San Jose, last time I came here was maybe 2 years ago. Came back here on a Saturday and wow they really did some great renovations, they added brand new bathrooms and a big chicken play area. It's always been such a nice park to come whenever I'm in SJ to bring my kids. They love playing and looking at the animals, specially the chickens roaming throughout.

Emma Prusch is my son's favorite park! I highly recommend Emma Prusch because it is very family-friendly and entertaining for the kids. The best part? It's free! No parking fee.Because of the big chicken slide in the center of the play area, my son calls it the "chicken park". I know it is technically a rooster, but the word "chicken" stuck. They have lots of signage saying the tunnel slide attached to the chicken is temporarily closed, but I still saw quite a few kids going down it. It's so huge that you can see the structure from the highway connecting ramp between 101-N and 680-N.Fair warning, all the slides are all made of metal, so they can get hot pretty quickly on a sunny day. There are plenty of swings for the kids to enjoy, ropes and hills to climb, and nice squishy cushioned flooring. The park has plenty of tree shade and benches along the side of the playground area. They also have picnic tables that you can reserve for birthday parties or gatherings. I should also mention they have public restrooms (a must-have with little kids). The barn animals and farm area is gated off and can be easily accessed by families with strollers. It can get pretty dusty inside from the dirt being kicked up by everyone walking around. I would recommend close-toed shoes inside this area, since it houses live animals and there can be fecal matter lying around. Inside the barn area, you can observe rabbits, pigs, peacocks, chickens, turkeys, and goats.Off to the side of the main entrance, there is a flower and vegetable garden that has some small garden toys for kids to play with. They also have a fruit tree botanical garden you can peruse. The surrounding trail that encircles the whole park is a great scenic walk. I love the little gazebo on the far end of the trail. It gives me a little bit of wedding ceremony vibes.Overall, Emma Prusch Farm Park has so much to offer. It really immerses you in the farm and nature aspects of life.

A unique park for sure! The barnyard design and theme of the kids playground, the spacious and open grass area, the many picnic tables and bbq pits, farm animals to visit for free, icecream for sale on site, gardens, historic landmarks, plenty of parking... one of the best parks San Jose has to offer! Was kind of sad though that the slides are made of tin or metal, so the kids weren't able to slide on any of them because of the heat!

One of the best parks that I've ever been to. I have an 19 month old and we're always looking for places to go out to keep her entertained. She was a little young for the play structures, but there were multiple playgrounds and a separate swing area. A lot of novel materials and ideas used for the playground that aren't as common in traditional playground. There's also a large field nearby if your kid wants to run around. The animal farm was also a lot of fun with up-close views of rabbits, pigs, peacocks, turkeys, and chickens! Lastly, the restrooms were pretty clean for public restrooms. Would definitely make the 15 minute drive to come back when we're in the area again!

We had grabbed some coffee and snacks. I wanted to go to a park to enjoy a small picnic and randomly found this park. Parking is free. We spotted peacocks near the entrance. There are several picnic areas. We sat down and a few large chickens started coming toward us. The 46 acre agricultural based park also has a livestock barn and community gardens. We didn't really walk around to explore. The playground was under construction, but it looked awesome. Overall, it seems to be a great place for families.
