Element Landscape Materials

The staff were very helpful in deciding how much soil I needed for my project. The delivery was very punctual and the soil was rich, I ordered the happy hippie soil mixed with planting soil. The driver was friendly and helpful as well. They have a nice selection of rock and soil.

We had 5 yards of their "walk on bark" which is what they said was their Playground bark. We went with them only because they had it in stock and could deliver it the fastest and we're trying to get our kids playground ready for a birthday party we're having. The other places were much cheaper. They're $70/yard. Others were $47 and $50 / yard. But would be the following weekend. The driver couldn't find out house on Google and was therefore almost an hour late. According to him their office misspelled it. Who knows. That stuff happens. He dropped off the load onto the tarp I had laid out. He was polite. Immediately we thought this material doesn't look like Playground bark. We had already purchased a couple yards for our playground elsewhere previously. I and also purchased 14 yards for the playground at our church from a different vendor. Totally different. The worst part was what was mixed in once we started moving into our backyard playground. It was full of rocks, gravel, concrete pieces and debris. I found beer bottle caps, pieces of thick copper wire, other old rusty metal weed barrier stakes. Not to mention dirt. Not rounded wood chips. Nothing like the 14 yards I bought from Galt or CalRock Lodi. Attached is a sample of the junk I was pulling out of our bark. So every shovel scoop I had to slowly sift through it to make sure to take out any dangerous materials. Walk on bark or playground bark is supposed to be conditioned to be rounded as to not hurt. Not this stuff. Lesson learned. Not to buy from this place ever again. Button not buy material unseen. Unless you know what they have first. Really regret it. But it's in now. I'll have to purchase more bark since the 5 yards wasnt enough. I'll be trying to cover this stuff up. I will definitely NOT be buying here again.

Our home is a new build home, which means the backyard was nothing but dirt. Element Landscape Materials was able to make our backyard a true oasis. We decided to have DG throughout our backyard, as we desired a low maintenance and drought resistant landscape. We also added boulders and a variety of crushed rock. They have a great selection and their service was amazing! I highly recommend visiting their facility to see for yourself!

I called and ordered exactly what I was looking for to landscape my backyard with the new pool I had put in by Trademark Pool & Spa! I ordered 1-1/2 black lava rock from Element! I had 2 deliveries of the rock that was brought to my house in Manteca! I'm very happy and pleased with this places service and how well they took care of me! Thanks Element! I highly recommend d this place!

Amazing! I was driving by on the freeway and I saw all these rare looking rocks, and materials! So I took the Mariposa exit and went to their yard! They have all types of colorful rocks I ended up decorating my drive way with a rock called Dolomite which is a white rock. I get compliments all the time when I have guests to my home. I'm thinking of pouring some concrete in my back yard. The helpful folks at Element Landscape Materials, told me I could even rent their small mixer! Much cheaper than trying to pay hundreds of dollars for a concrete truck. Thank you Andrea and Ruben for all your help I will see you again soon!

Main points being:-Lack of communication with customers-You have to do the legwork for information-Refuse to work with their customers on issues-Attempt to dissuade customers from returning product-Refuse to defund if you still want a refund-HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEI went in for a few yards of rock. Everything went ok so I purchased a couple hundred square feet of Sod. The gentleman (the manager. Stalkier Hispanic gentleman) I spoke to informed me that he would call me the same day and let me know what time to be the following day, but that the deliveries all get there before 12. I waited and I never received a call that day. It kind of worried me but I figured, "the rock went ok, don't stress it."The next day I waited for a call, at least something communicating the fact that they were working on it. Nothing. I called them and I spoke to an employee and she stated her boss (the manager I spoke to about the order), would call me back as soon as he came back in the office. I waited about 30 minutes and still hadn't received a call so I called them, AGAIN. I got ahold of the manager and asked him what the word on the Sod was. He stated he hasn't heard from the sod company and would call them and let me know. I then waited another half hour and no call back...again....so I called them yet again. The employee told me, "she was just going to call me" and that the sod would be delivered between 1:45 and 2:45 (well past the 12 o'clock initially told). I waited until 3 o'clock and still NO CALL.I called them one final time and asked them to recredit my card because I can no longer pick up the sod and that they didn't notify me of ANYTHING. The manager danced around talking about a restocking fee, once I asked how much the restocking fee was, he danced around some more taking about how they can't refund it due it already being paid for.

Has great landscape materials and good prices. I've been there 4 times and have had great service each time. I'll be making 2 more trips and could not be happier with the rocks or help from Element.

Good variety & the prices were great! We priced a couple of places before coming here & it did not disappoint. We will be returning for our Landscaping needs as we are working on our new backyard!

I bought some concrete today, I ordered 1 1/2 yards I only needed 1 1/4 yards so I knew I would have a clean up charge which was no big deal. The trailers had concrete left in them from the last time they were used so the Finns on the inside were not going to mix it well but for what I was pouring it would work just fine. I'm a concrete contractor and have been doing this for over 30 years, all my depths were good and all my calculations were correct, the size of the pad I was pouring was 8'6"x 12' so like I said I should have had more then enough. We get the concrete and I have my guys pour it while I'm on a different job, I get a call saying they need another 1/2 yard of concrete! I'm like WHAT! So I told my employee to go get more but tell him the something wrong with his batch machine and to please make it right for us, there's no way that little piece of concrete could have been off that bad it would've had to be 7 or 8" deep!! And it was only 4". He told my guy everything was correct and he gave us a yard and a half! I will never use these guys again as a business owner I do what ever I can to make things right for my customers and this guy didn't even want to listen. I will make sure any of my customers I talk to that need landscaping supplies or anything else for that matter do not use this company!!!

Element Landscaping dropped off sand for our sandbox. I ordered over the phone and they gave me a drop off time for Friday, at 1:00. They exceeded expectations and delivered a couple hours early.. the sand is perfect for the sandbox. Communication was easy, and the whole transaction was straightforward! I'll be using them again if I need some materials!
