What do you look for when you think of a Mexican combination dinner? Classic items like burritos, enchiladas, and tacos? Check. Excellent chips and salsa to start the meal? Cold beer to help wash down some of the spicier elements of the food? Yeah Frog's hits on all cylinders when it comes to hearty Mexican dishes from recipes that have been consistently good for a very long time. No, this isn't like an El Torito because it's way more authentic and the place is locally owned and operated by the nicest people in the business. They work with an energy that's very welcoming and the regulars love them for that. In fact this was my Mom's favorite place,rest her soul,because it's sometimes more about people and this place has been taking good care of hungry Stocktonians for a long time. I wish them continued success until they decided to do something else. Senior Frogs thank you for some good memories with my Mom and Dad.

Customer service is first and foremost for me! Chunky and his team are great! I love their food and the value they provide. I recently brought my mom and my brother and his family and they loved it! He asked me how I found this place. It's a hidden gem and local establishment for years! I don't take a lot of photos, but you owe it to yourself to give them an opportunity! Try the #1 or #3 and sample a variety of items! On a separate note, Chucky and I once fought to buy a meal for a homeless person. You can't help everyone, but you can help someone! That says a lot about Chucky!

I love to give a visit to small family owned businesses...however, I was Not a fan of the flavors or lack there of. Then they said they something they didn't have after I ordered it was too late.I expected authentic food but that was a disappointment and the meat was dry and everything was unseasoned. Can't say I'll be back.

Delicious Authentic and homemade tortillas (Really). The food was very good. I haven't been able to find my favorite mexican restaurant until now. The gravy is delicious and we had numerous menu items and all were just as delicious. See ya soon Senor Frog ; ))

Food was delicious as always but the service was horrible! My wife and I have been here several times and are always greeted warmly not on Saturday night! There was a younger waitress we haven't had before and she was RUDE! Would walk away in between us asking for things, approach the table "you need a bag"? This person should not be a member of wait staff with how rude she was. There was only one other table there so it wasn't like she was slammed busy? Terrible customer service.

First time here. Definitely not what I expected in the inside compared to the outside.when you first walk in, there is the bar area and few tables for dinning, it looks small at first glance but there is also tables in the back room too and a patio! So I thought that was pretty neat. We were asked to find any seat that we'd like and given menues. We were served tortilla chips and dip while we waited for our food. The dip was a 6/10 for me. But our food was 10/10! Everything came out better than I thought it would and the portions was huge! I couldn't finish my plate and my partner couldn't finish his wet burrito. Their home made flower tortillas was also good. I'd like to try more of their food! So definitely will be coming back.

Disappointing Service & Past Issues - Won't Be ReturningThe food was good, but the service was absolutely terrible. From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were an afterthought. The table next to us had already eaten and left, another family was seated, and while they were quickly attended to, we struggled to get basic requests fulfilled.We asked for more chips and salsa--nothing. Requested tortillas--still nothing. Asked for water--again, nothing. Meanwhile, the newly seated family received attentive service, with refills, extra napkins, and to-go boxes without even asking. By the time we finally received the chips, salsa, and tortillas, that other family had finished their entire meal.When I finally got a water refill, it was warm because I had eaten more than half of my ice while waiting. At the end, when we asked for boxes, we were told to "wait a minute" while the other table was helped first. They had boxed up their food, paid, and left, and we still hadn't even been given our check.To make matters worse, I haven't been here in over 10 years because of a previous issue--last time, my credit card somehow got left behind, and someone decided to charge over $200 on it, even though my actual bill was under $40 (two separate unauthorized charges). I gave this place another chance, but after tonight's experience, I won't be making that mistake again.The lack of attention and care ruined what could have been a good meal. It's one thing to be busy, but when one table gets everything they need without asking while another has to repeatedly remind staff for basic service, it's unacceptable. Definitely won't be coming back.

We've celebrated birthdays, graduations, and baby showers, always supporting their business. But after last night? We will never return.And before anything is said--this is NOT defamation. We are not twisting facts. We simply want the public to know how the owner's daughter treats customers while on the clock. WHY STOCKTON BUSINESSES FAILIt's not just rising prices--it's hiring unprofessional, untrained employees who ruin a business's reputation.And in this case? That employee was the owner's daughter.She represented her family's business with aggression, racism, and outright unprofessionalism--right in front of my children. RED FLAGS FROM THE START Two customer's kids ran out of the kitchen--a clear health & safety violation. The staff was overwhelmed but instead of handling it professionally, they became short-tempered and aggressive. My mom stepped aside to let a customer pass, and the waiter snapped at her, assuming she was trying to sit down too soon. THE SERVICE WAS A DISASTER The waitress had an attitude from the start. I asked how her night was, and she responded rudely. I tried to lighten the mood, saying, "You're coming off a little spicy." She fired back, "You're just reading my vibe wrong." The waiter misheard my order 3 times and brought tea with no ice and a half cup of ice on the side instead of fixing it. We asked for sugar, and he acted annoyed, tossing packets onto the table.Then came the surcharge issue--we had NEVER been charged for this before.Arthur rudely said, "I'll go ask," acting as if we were bothering him. At that point, we had enough and decided to leave. THE OWNER'S DAUGHTER MADE IT WORSEWhen I asked for names to report the experience, the waitress (the owner's daughter) lost it. She refused to give her name and suddenly threatened to call the police. She called and LIED, claiming we came in to start trouble. My mother asked, "What are you talking about?" and she smugly responded, "It's okay, they're recording too." At this point, I was already recording. Then, the moment that changed everything:I told her, "You look like you're under the influence of something. You're really tweaking right now."Her response? "You are a rude Black man." IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN.My mother immediately called her out, "A rude Black man?" Instead of apologizing, she DOUBLED DOWN, saying, "Well, what should I call him?" Meanwhile, TWO separate groups of customers LEFT after seeing this unfold. PHYSICAL ESCALATION & POLICE INVOLVEMENT She got in our faces, trying to force us out. Both my mom and I had to tell her not to touch us. She grabbed a menu and smacked my phone while I was recording. George, the cook, came out and apologized--he knew this was wrong.At this point, my mom called 911.While on the phone, she described the waitress, and that's when the waitress came around AGAIN, clapping her hands, trying to force us out.She yelled, "This is my mother's restaurant!" I told her, "Your mother will be embarrassed by this."Her response? "That's the mind manipulation." The police arrived a few minutes later. They took statements from both sides. They asked if my mother wanted to press charges--she declined, not because it wasn't serious, but because we know how these things play out. We left cash on the table for what we consumed, so they couldn't accuse us of anything. WHY THIS BUSINESS WILL FAILStockton businesses aren't failing just because of prices--they fail because they hire unprofessional, unqualified employees who scare away customers. Hiring people with no professionalism ruins businesses. Allowing employees to act however they want ruins reputations. Thinking customers will stay no matter what ruins loyalty.At the end of the day, this restaurant will be its own downfall.Businesses that hire unqualified, uneducated people who ruin their reputation from the inside out will NEVER last. The fact that this woman is the daughter of the owner makes it even worse--because if this is the best representation of their business, then this place is already done. THE FINAL STRAWWe have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this place over the years.
