My mom asked for a chile Relleno Ridiculous how small the chile was not even the 1/4 size of the small plate , it seems like it was cut in half we ask the waiter and she said that was the size.

This review is specific to menudo. It is good, however you get a very small bowl for $14.00 which wasn't enough food for a grown person. No refills like at some competing restaurants and no price break for a 2nd bowl. Don't get the menudo if you are hungry. Otherwise I do love their food.

Two poor experiences in a row - 2 months apart. First we ordered catering to go for a family party. Ordered a number of items but specifically a large tray of cheese enchiladas for our vegetarian guests. They ended up being chicken. Last night went for dinner. The waitress was completely distracted and/or uninterested. Took forever to take our order - then got it wrong. Further, the Kid's meal mac and cheese I am almost certain is Kraft (at best) and fries had zero flavor. Service was so poor a customer at another table walked with his empty glass to the kitchen to get more water.... There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants in Modesto. We will try elsewhere.

The menudo is okay, had way better, customer service was horrible, never came one time to refill drinks. The Jamaica tasted like chlorine water, never brought napkins until I asked, I asked for a bowl, she never returned with my bowl or asked how the food was. I will never recommend this business to anyone

This place use to be my favorite. They have the best rice and beans anywhere But the service here has become out of pocket. I took my family to eat here and I was still deciding if I wanted a Molcajete or enchiladas. I told the lady I was trying to decide on one or the other. Well I ended up going with the enchiladas and she said why no Molcajete?? You can't afford it? That comment made me and my wife extremely mad. She legit said that to me. That's 1 experiences the other two times we went to the website for the menu. We look at what we want and we call to place an order for pick up. Both times the prices were completely wrong when we went to pick up our food. The lady said well if u want to order online go ahead... Okay?!! So we pay cash in restaurant and pay way more or we order online and pay less? Make that make sense!! That's Super rude of her to say that. After we drove from ceres to pick up food. she could have helped us out and figure out why the website that they charge people to use has incorrect prices. Yes it cost 3 bucks to place an order on the website btw. We walked out empty handed they want to rip people off that's fine but not us. we won't be supporting this restaurant. after 6 years of eating here . We order 2 times a week from this place. Not any more! Do better el rosal.

Holly Molly!!! So freaking good! I was craving something and boy did this place take care of my flavor buds!!!!! Man this burrito was as the kids say bussin!!!!! Now I'm laying here so full but it was definitely worth every bite! The sauce two sauces mixed together The chicken was cooked done but was not dry! They put all the stuff on the side! I had it delivered so that was perfect! Omg 10/10!!! I have ordered this 4 times now I am never disappointed!!!!

Not impressed. To start, chips were very good, authentic. They also brought to the table a nice warm refried beans dip. But the salsa wasn't much more than tomato sauce and a little bit of spiciness.Main dishes were just average. Something I'd expect in a chain restaurant like El Torito or Chevy's. In fact, I'd say they're better.I went with my Mexican mother-in-law who was hoping for the best but was let down. She mentioned to me they use canned ingredients and the tortillas were store bought.Service was decent. Pleasant. Nothing bad or exceptional, either. Prices are average - maybe a little on the high side.We won't be back.
