Attended a Wedding next door and we didn't want to drive back to SF the same night so we decided to spend the night here.Cannot beat the price $65 (tax included) Nice and Clean rooms, flat screen tv with free HBO and all the basic channels, bathroom was clean, free shampoo, soap and toothpaste. It was quiet during the night and we felt secure. Bed was comfortable, AC worked really good. The only issue was (sorry didn't my first review to be perfect) that I'm 5"11 and the shower stall is only about 5"8 so I kind of had to bend a bit to shower my head but it wasn't really a big deal. Worth every Penny!

Sassy is the sweetest in the front. We have had several isuues with surrounding hotels and lack of customer service but never have an issue here. The maids are kind and attentive as well as respectful. Parking is limited but there's a chance of getting a spot right in front of your room.

The pictures of here are nothing like the room we got. I added a picture of the 2nd bed. Not what we were expecting. We asked for two queen beds. The woman working said she had a room with two beds. When we showed up, there was one queen bed, and a small closet like room, with a single bed in it. Seriously, my walk in closet at home is bigger than this room. It doesn't have a door knob either. Just a dead bolt. And a hole in the door, where someone must have gotten angry, and put their fist through it. The room was Non Smoking, but still had an odor, and the comforter was riddled with burn holes. We stopped counting at 30. The bathroom is tiny. Larger people wouldn't be able to get to the toilet. There was a flat screen tv, and a mini fridge. That was cool, but they should have spent the money on new comforters. Oh, and the Ice Machine still doesn't work.

I called in the morning to reserve a two bed room for Friday night. Gina at the front desk wasn't sure if there would be a two bed room open, but I told her that I'll take a one bed room if that's all they had. I was told that 9-10pm would be the latest time to check in, and that I would need to put a $25 deposit on the room. $75 for a single bed, $95 for two beds.My friend and I arrived that night a bit past 8. This motel probably has about 15-20 rooms; the outside looks clean. The surroundings looked peaceful, not shady. The office is in front of the "El Dorado Motel" sign. I go in and Gina is still working the front desk. We greet, and she tells me that there's a two bed room, and gave me the key so I can check out the room. There was a queen sized bed in the main room, and a twin sized bed in another smaller room. (Another reviewer said that there's no door knob on that door, just a deadbolt. I didn't check.) There were also ashtrays in the room, so I assumed that it was a smoking room. Alright! Bathroom's a bit small, but that didn't bother me. There was also a tiny closet for hanging clothes, but no hangers. = / Oh well. There's also a TV with cable, a microwave, and a mini fridge (which I ended up using). I decided that the room was fine, go back to the office, and pay the full amount so that I wouldn't have to deal with paying in the morning. The total cost was $95 flat (tax included) for a 2 bed room, which I paid with a credit card.My room looked tidy, but the table provided was a bit sticky. Same with the bathroom floor. The water pressure from the shower was great, but some might find the shower head to be a bit low. No big deal though. The bed was soft, the pillows were fine, but the comforter was pretty mediocre and had some cigarette burn holes in it. Doesn't bother me, I just wish the comforter was a bit softer. Next time I would bring a small fleece blanket with me though. The heater worked fine; I didn't run the AC though so I donno how well it works. Someone also mentioned that the ice machine outside didn't work, but I didn't try that either so I donno if they've fixed it or not. Next to the ice machine outside is a washer and dried, which I didn't need to use either. El Dorado Motel also offers free wifi, but I didn't use it, so I can't comment on how fast the internet speed is.Overall I was pleased with my stay. I would come back again. My friend accidentally jacked a towel, so they'll probably charge me a few bucks extra. Oh well.

I'm not sure why there's mixed reviews here. I really enjoyed my stay and there were no problems. Everything was clean and the price at $75 a night is cheap. It was hot out during the day and cold at night but the room always felt comfortable. I just put the ac on "fan only" mode at night. The only thing I didn't like was the shower head was way too low. But I wouldn't even remove a star cuz its a minor issue. Nice trustworthy people run this place. I recommend it

Quit mom and pop motel close to shops and freeway. Staff is friendly. Ice machine is broken. Could use some updating, ie. carpet, mattress is old and bought second hand from Hilton. The door was hard to open and difficult to shut without slamming it. I stayed in room 109.Housekeeping issues. The carpet still had deodorant that wasn't fully vaccummed up, and not enough toilet paper or soaps.Parking is tight, but available off the side street as well. One story and manager lives on site. Couldn't have more than 15 rooms, some appear rented for extended stay.

By the way...ICE MACHINE was working great...and there was 4 plugs by the head of the bed...My only concern is that; when you have a DO NOT DISTURB sign, they still KNOCK until you answer, or just walk in...Recommend to others??? YES!!!

very very impressed with my stay at this motel. definitely not what i expected it was very neat and clean ... came with nice closet and microwave. one thing i loved was that there was a tv guide available so that u didnt have to flip thru channels constantly you can just see what channels are available on the handout they leave on the counter. definately a family stay motel.

1960's style motel in Pittsburg. Small, but clean rooms. In an area where even the large chain hotels have negative cleanliness reviews, to say nothing of bedbugs, the El Dorado offers a clean, affordable alternative. Only complaint was my TV had issues and I could get only one channel. I'm sure it was just a programming issue. WiFi available for only one device; no problem for me as a single, but with a family it could be a problem.

Just finished spending the super HOT 4th of July weekend here and I was very pleased with my stay.Checking in was smooth and took all of a couple minutes. There was a reasonable $15 room deposit. The grounds are kept clean and so was the room. It had a large new-looking AC unit mounted beneath the window which blasted wonderfully-cold air. There was a flat screen tv in the room (which I never used), granite countertops in the bathroom, a clean shower stall, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a small closet off to the side. During the night, it was nice and quiet in the room too. I felt safe parking my car in the well-lit parking lot right outside. Oh, and contrary to what the other reviewer mentioned back in 2009, the ice machine was working perfectly this weekend. My only minor comment is that there was not a clock in my room, nor was there an outlet nearby the head of the bed for convenience. Other than that, my stay was golden and well worth the money. Checkout was fast and I got my $15 back!Would I come back? Definitely!
