Eden Gardens Event Center

I re-read all of the reviews for this place after our event and really don't understand why there isn't more objective, honest feedback posted. We held a corporate event at this space due to our typical hotel ballroom being unavailable. This venue was an overall fail for us. 1. Setting - It was a bit dated and run down. The fixtures are gaudy, but in cheesy way. Quilted vinyl on the walls, gold-plated silverware, and a rusted carriage outside. 2. Service - The staff was fairly intrusive and unprofessional. The busgirl started wheeling around a creaky cart with plastic gray bus tubs in the middle of our dinner. After we asked the event manager to have her quit that, she came back out without the cart but with the same dingy gray plastic tubs. She also tried to take our speakers' plates while they were at the podium. The staff needs some training on proper service standards. 3. Food - The food was mixed. Multiple attendees commented that the food was sub-par. The cheese and app course looked great. The mains were less successful. Mushy short ribs and salmon that looked like they threw it in the chafing dish just didn't meet expectations. The vegetables left a lot to be desired - they were ok, but underwhelming. I would also note that there was no ice out for the water or iced tea.4. Cleanliness - big L on this front. One of the stalls in the men's room had an unprofessional hand-written out of order sign on it. Guys - just hire a plumber. We also experienced a leak from the celling that left a gross brown liquid on one of our place settings. This is unacceptable for a corporate event, even more so for a wedding. So overall, the staff was pleasant to work with and nice enough. That said, I just can't imagine taking the risk of scheduling a large important event at this venue.

Very unprofessional & Cancels payed off events only to book other events for same date.. looking at previous reviews now, i can see its not a first and most likely not the last

I actually read a few negative reviews after me and my fiancé had already booked our reservation for this hall. I have no regrets, though. First off, I just wanted to say that Uniqua was amazing. She helped us with all of the details and accommodated us very well. This was a very VERY rushed wedding. Uniqua helped us every step of the way. One thing that stood out to me and the main reason we chose this place was because they were so chill and not at all strict like other places that I looked at. One of the main things that drove me away from other venues was that they would require you to use their vendors such as catering, DJ, decorating, etc. This place however had their own kitchen(where you can cook or your own catering company can cook), buffet room, bridal room, bathrooms, and the main reception hall(which is beautiful by the way). Anyway, we had an amazing night. All of our guests had so much fun and we even had people asking about the hall just by looking at our wedding photos.

Eden Garden is definitely a scam. About a week and a half ago they called to inform us that an event which had been booked, scheduled, and multiple vendors payed for, needed to be moved to another venue due to some red tape the owner Raja was experiencing with the city of Elk Grove. The booking was made back in January. we had seen the previous review and reached out about two weeks prior to the wedding. The owner assured us everything would be fine. Then one week prior to the event, the venue was visited and the owner and his daughter Uniqua assured us there were no issues and the event would take place as scheduled and anticipated. Fast forward to two days before the wedding at 7:30 P.M. Raja calls and states there is a problem and to come in tomorrow morning to look at alternate venues.Honestly the owner Raja attempts to tell you a great story and attempts to tell you that he will find you a "better venue" and will pay for the costs from his "own pockets." Don't fall for it. He clearly knew he had red tape and issues as he began some outdoor construction prior to city approval. He will string you along so there is no time to react or look for an alternative venue. We ended up having to rearrange 270 guests, caterers, photographers, DJ's.Please....Please....use a different place. You are only going to experience heartache and stress as this father daughter duo attempts to scam you out of your hard earned money and cheat you out of whatever memories you would have of your event.The more people that ignore the reviews only emboldens these folks to continue with their shenanigans.

If I could leave no stars I would. The service was extremely disappointing. My family held events here twice (i dont know why) and the service seemed to only get worse. The servers were late according to the time of arrival stated on the contract, and even then they took their time to start the service. There was no order or communication. The second time and last time around, we were promised the venue (cleaned and ready) at 10:30am to set up and it was far from that. They were still mopping when we arrived to set up and by the time the party was about to begin at 4:00pm it was still not clean. The floors, walls and the bathrooms were all still dirty from the previous event. Some family members decided to help out during the food service since they claimed to be short-staffed and the "servers" sat down or hid and let my family do most if not all the work. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional to guests, instigating altercations, all while the owner just stood there and watched. For the amount someone invests into an event you would expect professional service, which unfortunately was not the case. Do your research and be thorough with your expectations should you decide to book an event here.

I had my wedding here in September of 2023. The venue was beautiful and spacious. Uniqua was amazing to work with. She was always a text message away anytime I had random questions. She was accommodating, friendly, transparent, and genuinely cared to make my event a success. I saved a ton of money renting tablecloths, chairs, and tables from her. She has a ton of inventory, so check with her before you book elsewhere. My wedding day went smoothly because of the great communication we had. It was wonderful to work with her! Definitely recommend!

Jennifer is the best. She accommodated our every need and was a pleasure to work with. Her security team was on top of everything. Highly recommend this venue for your events.

BOOK YOUR EVENT HERE!!! Uniqua is literally thee most sweetest person you'll meet in the business!! We had our reception here about two weekends ago and let me tell you it was perfect! She was super hospitable, professional, and goes the extra mile! I highly recommend to book!! Apart from the beautiful hall, she also has beautiful decorative pieces that you can rent! The staff was really nice as well! Thank you for an unforgettable night Eden Staff!!!

I am so mad they just called me today 7/27/23 to tell me they have to cancel my daughter's XV due to over booking even though owner reassured me my date was available 11/18/23 this is so devastating how am I going to find another venue in 4 months I had to work 2 jobs missed a lot of family time to make my daughter's XV come to life for this unprofessional person to cancel it on me and had the nerve to say I have meant to call you 3 months ago but I was busy!!! busy doing what scamming people like me please save your money and go to a more professional venue!!!!! Zero star but would let me rate zero

Canceled my family's 15 celebration after we had a confirmed date with no other bookings and we got a call today saying they overbooked when we have everything ready for our celebration now we are left with no reception area and everything else is payed for. So unprofessional, think twice about booking here !!!!
