I went out here a few weeks ago because I was wanting to check out an Sig Sauer P365, on a Sunday afternoon! This was the only place open and figured... why not?So I get there and it's got a few people shopping and picking stuff up. I spoke to a guy about that particular handgun. Saw it, checked it out, and purchased it. the price was as expected for California with the insane taxes, they also threw in a free magazine which I thought was awesome! They were in the process of expanding the business while I was there and when I did go pick up my P365 they had added a bunch of space and accessories which was pretty nifty to see.So when I went to pick up my Sig, I wanted to check out two more pistols... (here I am saying I won't buy anymore...) and I then purchased the P320 X5 Legion, and the P220 1911. I've since picked those all up and I am absolutely loving target practice at the range. Overall, I would highly recommend the place. Great crew, great selection, as expected price es, but once in a while they will throw in a little something-something as a thank you for shopping there. Oh.. and I pick up my Kimber Eclipse Custom II 1911 next week...

Man I really hate writing negative reviews but I did give them a couple chances/benefit of doubt but they've continued to miss the mark. They will get very defensive if you have any problems even though they say "come back and see us if you have any problems" Initially when I had first visited this place, it was a very positive experience, hence why I had, yes had decided to return to continue doing business with them. However, that experience turned very sour from my most recent and final visit with them. It all started when I called them about if they have a glock 19 upper assembly parts kit in stock for a BARE SLIDE, remember this for later in my review as this is important. They confirmed availability for the kit and I asked if they could also install it and they said yes that would be no problem. So I go over there and purchase the kit and they install it then when it came to the payment part the guy says hey I'm adding $35 for labor and at the time I just go along with it just to support a small business even though they did NOT mention anything about a labor charge as most if not all other gun shops usually would include it as a courtesy since you are buying the parts from them. But you think it would be nice and polite to to let your customer know that there will be a charge for something before anything? Especially if you don't have it clearly posted or stated anywhere? Also the parts and almost everything in there are pretty heavily marked up compared but hey support small business though am I right?Almost forgot to mention they also fail to provide me the spare parts from the kit. Anyways whatever, not a big deal. I pay it and go on with my day. It wasn't till I bring it to the range and notice that the iron sights install was completely botched and the left side was not seated properly on to the slide in addition to the gun not reliably chambering another round after a shot. I call them up and explain the situation and they said to bring it in. So I do and they blame it on my optic screws being to long and I already told them I've done tried it without it and it still does it then they proceed to say that I need to put about 100 rounds through it oh trust me I did. Slide is well lubed up too. Anyways while one of them is trying to fix the iron sights I ask the other owner if they charge for labor for parts purchased from them and he said "no..." but then quickly back tracks and says "actually if we had to disassemble your stock slide to install new ones then yes we would charge for labor" but then I say "well it was a BARE SLIDE so there wasn't much disassembly there...thats why I needed parts for it and I was not notified at all that there would be a charge until after the fact." Then he goes "oh well i didn't work on it ask the other guy who worked on it, I can't speak on this anymore sorry."Sure... anyways the other guy did get the rear sight finally seated in but while doing so also severely scratched the iron sight itself. I ask them to at least cover the labor charge since I had to come back a second time and stated that there was no labor charge notified to me prior to installation. They proceed to say "I understand but hey man MY time is worth something, I usually charge $100 for gun smithing so I cut you a deal. Sorry about that but I'll get you next time." So much for being considerate of my time as a customer having to come back to your store for your mess up. Sorry to say EastBay Firearms there won't be a next time. I will no longer do business with you.

I just moved to the area and have been looking for a place for my firearm needs and East Bay Firearms absolutely meets those needs in spades. Customer service is top notch, treating me as if I've been coming in for years, they happily answer any question no matter how novice it may be and they don't make you feel like an idiot for asking.I needed quick turnaround on the service of my rifle since I was going to the range with friends and within 30 minutes, I was ready to go. The atmosphere is also just really friendly. You can hang out with no pressure, which is a big plus when you're trying to make a decision on what to get or do next.Needless to say, this will be my go to shop going forward.

This FFL charged $100 service fee + DROS fee for PPT. FSC test fee is $35, where it should be $25. That $100 service was not disclosed at all until the process was complete. I would have bought some stuff or do more business to support local gunstore, but this sneaky bs fee left me with a negative impression on this business.

I have been shooting handguns for decades but had an issue with one recently. I took it to Eastbay Firearms and he fixed the problem right away. And would not even allow me to pay him for his time. I will never consider going to any other firearm business, that level of service cannot be met anywhere else.
