Duck Nook

Still one of my favorites local places for breakfast/brunch. Family owned and operated, friendly staff. The decor is older style with all the different ducks everywhere, cute and somewhat outdated but that's the style of the place since it's been around a while. Whether you want an American or Mexican meal, you won't be disappointed. I went ahead and got the chilaquiles yesterday (I used to go to Susy's for it) and they were tasty!

Meh. I don't like leaving negative reviews but I was so underwhelmed with everything about this place. The service was slow and unfriendly. The interior is outdated and feels depressing. The food was bland and generic. Spending fifty dollars on a breakfast for three that leaves you feeling like you should have just gone through a drive thru is a real bummer.

probably the most unfriendly staff I have ever seen, we sat down and nobody acknowledged us, when asked what drinks we wanted we sat there for probably 10 if not longer minutes, we asked and was told the waiter (which I think was the owner) was busy and will get them (wasn't busy at all) after our order was taken the food did come out quickly, and it was ok , and i'm really not that picky either ...won't go back, they acted like we were bothering them and then I had the nerve to ask for a box . Nobody asked if we needed anything, everyone there working looks miserable. Didn't even want to leave a tip but my hubs did anyways.

Been to this spot two different times and the service was terrible both times. The food is okay, basic cafe food-nothing too fancy. Prices are decent as well. Usually if the food is okay, that's all I care about- yet the service was sooo bad it really did ruin the experience for us.

I've been coming to Duck Nook for 20 years. The Duck decor is cute and feels like an old gramma a kitchen. The staff is quiet but efficient. Always have what I need, drinks are full, and coffee is strong. I always get the all meat omelette with a side of country gravy and hash browns. Better than I can ever make. And consistency is the key. Always the same. Always good. They have battled the pandemic and are still open. Please consider visiting this central Stockton staple.

I love this little hole in the wall restaurant. The food is really good, and the portions are perfect. The owners are obviously a family. They have their kids with them in a back booth. I have actually been going there quite often since I found them about 8 years ago. It's a short walk from my house, which helps a lot when I just want to grab breakfast on the weekend without having to drive somewhere. They have both American Food and Mexican Food. Definitely a great place to go!

Service was just ok. The older latino lady is extremely rude and racist!After eating there and then having a conversation outside by our cars the lady opens the back door and rudely tells us to go somewhere else to talk. I asked why and all she said was"because I said so!" A real bitch. The older man working there was just as rude as her. Never going back. Screw them.

Came in on a Saturday morning. Not very busy, maybe 7 or 8 others. Ok service. Not very welcoming but took our order and delivered food in a timely manner. Took a while to get the check. No refill on water. Food was ok as well. A bit expensive for the quality. Example. Charge a premium price of like 9 dollars for a two pancake short stack. And they were average at best. If I had a choice I would go somewhere else.

Quiet, quick, fair pricing in this inflation day in age. Nothing special, but not horrible.
