The kids loved it. It is really cold so come prepared.. it can get really busy. The staff is really supportive and friendly. They do not have the things to help assist anyone who does not know how to ice skate. But overall is was fun

This rink is horrible! A bad attitude all around. The skating director is very unorganized and very rude to say the least. I have two major issues with encounters at this little rink with a reputation that precedes itself. My young daughter is taking skating lessons there. The skating director was Ill prepared for these kids and added to the unprofessionalism with her disrespectful attitude. The class' first lesson they did only 2 passes on the rink then it was time to go. This experience with this rink has been so disappointing. My other encounter is of a family member , who is a trained ice skater, visiting from another town going to Dublin Iceland to skate only to be shunned not on one occasion but 3different occasions. Not one person had the professionalism or decency to introduce themselves or welcome her. It seems as though the many coaches at this facility are unapproachable and snotty. Maybe this is due to a lack of leadership or the fact that coaches only pay attention to those that are paying them for their private sessions and their egos.Disappointed to say the least!

My 9 yo son had attended the camp and I would not recommend it. The camp is run by young kids who are more interested in having fun themselves than running the camp. The kids who were suppose to be organizing the activities were not able to organize themselves and was a free for all most of the time. A couple of the kids did start the activities but everyone went their own way after that. There was very little instruction so don't expect your kid to be the next Peggy Fleming or Scott Hamilton. The bowling on ice just did not work and the kids lost interest quickly. Some of the activities were taking a picture on the Zamboni, building a snowman and painting on the ice. The activities did not seem like much fun. However, somehow my son said he had fun. I think he liked the occasional attention from the older girls. He was not able to skate and was relinquished to using his hands to pull himself along the outside of the rink using the wall for balance with little to no assistance from the staff. Save your money and just take your child yourself.

This is the best available ice skating rink in the area. If you are able to progress through the class, you will have the basic of ice skating. Summer camp is not meant as a quick course to learning how to skate. It's camp, not skating class. All instructors are different, everyone should do some research in selecting an instructor. Come and watch them. Talk to other parents. Also keep in mind that our children are different. They may progress at different rate. Iceland seems to operate as an affordable contribution to our community. I never expect to be pamper here. The young staff do provide me with services beyond my expectation. You just have to have patience, know how to capture their attention. We pay a tiny amount of money and the staff served us much better than we expected.

The skating school has private lessons with the instructors at this lovely dark and dank ice rink. The skating school my grandson went through for hockey lessons was okay. Unfortunately, it's the only one around, so they don't really have any competition.I'd like to warn people about an instructor named David. He's an instructor who also gives private hockey and skating lessons. He gave my grandson lessons for 4-5 months. At first it was okay, but after time I noticed David was unreliable. He would show up late and not even apologize. He wouldn't listen to me and was off in space. Also, there were times David was unenthusiastic, and towards the end he didn't motivate my grandson. He even at times shortened the lesson that I was PAYING FOR! It's not cheap. Last class, David knew about a divot in the ice and didn't move my grandson, until he fell down hard. Then he moved him to another area. He didn't fix the divot, so others might have fallen and hurt themselves too. That was it for me. I stayed too long with this instructor, because my grandson liked him, which was not a good reason. I woke-up. I feel it's important to let people know what this instructor is like, and he's not worth it.

Put two kids through the camp school. They will only pay attention if you are Caucasian. Will completely ignore your kids otherwise.
