Ah, Dry Creek Golf Course, where the grass may be a little patchy, but the laughs are always par for the course! Now, I'll be honest, I can't really speak to the actual golfing experience here. I'm just getting back into the swing of things (pun intended) after a hiatus from the game. But from what I've heard through the grapevine (and by grapevine, I mean the reviews), the course itself could use a little TLC in some spots. It's like that old pair of shoes you keep meaning to polish but never quite get around to, you know? But let me tell you about the real gems of Dry Creek: the range, the pro shop, and the restaurant. First up, the range. It's like a little oasis, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main course. It's become one of my favorite spots to work on my swing and pretend I'm Tiger Woods (minus the scandals, of course). Now, let's talk about the real MVP: Lance. This guy is a master at his craft. I brought him some clubs to regrip and lengthen, and not only did he do a fantastic job, but he also fixed up some eBay specials that had grips so poorly put on, they looked like they were done by a blindfolded monkey. Lance is like a walking encyclopedia of golf knowledge. I've spent countless hours chatting with him about everything from club selection to the best way to get out of a sand trap (spoiler alert: it's not by throwing your club). Owner Chris, if you're reading this, do whatever it takes to keep Lance around. He's a real asset to your establishment!Last but not least, the restaurant. I'll admit, I had some not-so-fond memories of the food from years ago, but boy, was I in for a surprise! The Teriyaki Katsu and chicken dishes were so delicious, I almost forgot I was at a golf course and not a five-star restaurant. And the lovely lady working the bar (I'm guessing she's the owner's wife) was an absolute delight. So, while Dry Creek Golf Course may not be perfect, it's far from a hole-in-one disaster. With a few improvements and the all-star team of Lance and the restaurant staff, this place has the potential to be a real winner. I'm giving it a solid 4 stars, because just like my golf game, there's always room for improvement!

We paid $60 to play on horrible greens and mind you our car sadly got broken into. They also didn't have the cameras plugged in.

The pictures below are the greens that they charge $60.00 to play. In addition, many greens are not accessible because of overgrown foliage!

The greens had very few divot marks and was in very good condition. I'd say Hagen Oaks or an equivalent course, at this time of the year would be in much worse condition. The Driving range was behind the Pro shop and had a secluded flat open field to hit balls into. It had a cool farm feel which was very quiet and everyone was allowed to hit off of grass which seems to be luxury these days. This course gets plenty of new golfers and with that expectation, we had an enjoyable time. Looking at all the reviews this place gets unwarranted negativity. The only negative I can think of is the fairways can be cut a quarter inch shorter.

I wanted to play the back nine around 6am. Pro shop lady said in a not friendly way, I could not because they were mowing the lawn. All 9 fairways being mowed at the same time? Course is going down hill. The restaurant used to be one of the best in Galt. At each tee area, there are no benches and no trash bins. It will probably join the ranks of lake forest, lockeford springs, and the lighthouse as golf courses of the past. Hope they get it together and keep it up to par. not quadruple bogey this course and turn it into ruins.

Vowed not to play here since the last time which was probably in 2016. Still haven't been back and I tell everyone I know not to play here. Trash customer service. Trash conditions. Trash owner. Sucks we had to lose Lockford Springs but this course somehow hang's on..

The WORST greens in Northern California. Sloppy, over watered, burn spots on every green, allow 5-somes on Saturdays, and over-priced to top it off. Easy to get a tee time but these are the reasons why. Play Emerald Lakes 9 hole course twice, thank me later.

Decent Course, Terrible ManagementThe course itself is fine--fairways and greens are in decent condition--but the experience was ruined by the general manager/owner. They seem more concerned with enforcing rigid policies than creating a welcoming environment. I encountered an issue where a small exception could have easily been made, but the GM refused to budge, coming across as dismissive and unaccommodating. The GM also raised his voice at me and stood in a dominant posture. It felt like customer service was not a priority here. Would not recommend unless you're prepared to follow every rule to the letter, no matter the circumstance.

Everything you read about this place is true. Course is in terrible shape and the staff is incredibly rude. On top of that- it's not that cheap. $60 to ride is a joke. Should be half that. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Man, this place used to be such a nice course. The owners are extremely rude. The golf carts are beat up and way past their prime. WAY past. The course is in okay shape but not for $60. Maybe $35. Save your money and golf somewhere else. The only bright spot was the maintenance guy.
