Very very short trail more like a stroll. Lots of mushrooms, very beautiful. Easy sorta confusing at the end thought it would longer and didn't realize it was trail in and out not round back. Went left after the bridge wonder if we were supposed to go right instead . Next time

Such a great hike that can be made easy or more difficult depending on which route you take and what you are up for. Absolutely beautiful in the fall!

Came here for a morning hike mid week. Very pretty trails with flowers blooming. Easy to strenuous trails that interconnect, so you could hike less than a mile or several miles. There were benches along the way as well as trash cans. The trails were clean and the area seemed safe. There is a small parking lot off Alpine Drive. Search Dragoon Gulch Trail on Google maps.

A wondrous way to bring in the New Year.We did a lovely hike here with some friends yesterday. The air was fresh. The trail was well cleared and well marked. And the manzanitas which graced the trail were absolutely stunning with their sleek red hues.If you're in the Sonora area and have some time to kill - I recommend exploring Dragoon Gulch. There are a number of trails to check out - depending on what you're looking for - and it's a great way to see Sonora from above. Trust.

Did this trail (or rather all these trails today). It was almost a 2 hour drive to get here and another 2 hours to get home eventhough Google gave us a much faster time. The roads are windy in this area and people drive very slow. It took us 4 times longer to drive here and back than it did to do all of the trails. If you live in the immediate area, I'm sure this is a cute little respite where you can take your dog for a quick walk in a nature like setting, but this is not a hike that is worth driving to. Today, it was incredibly dry with no water to be seen, which is to be expected of this time of year. However, by the time we finished the short walk we recovered in dust and dirt. I was also disappointed to find that even though this trail is promoted as dog friendly, you must keep your dog on a leash at all times and there is a long list of rules with things like not allowing your dog to meet other dogs on the trail. Personally, I wasn't impressed and would not recommend this "trail" or short walking path to anyone more than 10 minutes from downtown Sonora.

We couldn't figure out where the parking lot was so we parked in the church parking lot, from there you need to walk up a pretty busy road ( at least at 7:30 on a Tuesday morning). It's a lovely trail that winds up the hill, the beginning is paved but then it's a nicely graded dirt path. Our three dogs had a great time. We didn't go all the way up as we had our 14year old dog with us, but I bet there's a nice view. We did see some parking, still don't know how to get there.

Excellent hiking trails for people of all ages and fitness levels! Dog friendly! This is our new favorite hiking destination. Lots of spots for your dogs to take a dip in the creek. Just bring mosquito repellent and water and you should be good to go! There are multiple parking lots for these trails so keep an eye out.Beginners tip: follow the picture guides on the ground to reach the trail head. P.S.Bring baggies for your dogs waste!

Smaller than I thought. I hope the expansion comes sooner rather than later, but I see no additions coming soon. For runners, a trail won't do much, as the summit loop feels like it's less than a mile. I have to run it twice in a row to get a workout.Out of the parking lot, you have two options, go left and end up in a HOA type subdivision in like 10 minutes, or go left and do the summit loop. If you keep going right and walk the flat part first, the steep part of the route will be down hill. However, if you go left and hit the switchback, you will get the steep part first, which I prefer. However, it is a great place to bring your dog. It also has a nice little view at the top. Also, I am grateful for it's existence, as most places dont have an option so close to downtown, so 5 stars!

Good place to go for more than just a walk. It's not exactly a hike but there are some steeper walking spots that make for a good workout. It's great for dogs too, there's many places that they can jump into the creek and dry off. Give it a go (:

I have hiked this trail many times and it's really nice to have this local hiking spot for a quick day hike to pump the blood up and relax our minds. I personally enjoy it with my music playing in my headphones. Helps me keep in step better too. I guess one of my nicknames could be "radio" since I'm always walking and jamming to music. Hahaha. Looking forward to finding more trails.
