Discovery Inn

The owner is absolutely awful. Extremely rude and treats his guest terribly. Maybe he was sexist or racist but he treated me like garbage I will never be returning to this terrible hotel. Do not go it's not worth being treated like trash to someone you are giving your money to.

Now I'm not rating this motel compared to ALL motels, as it would fall short to the more expensive ones, of course. I'm comparing it to its own class. This place was $65 including tax! and I expected the worst. Suprised, the place was very clean, plenty of well lit parking, easy to get too, and shares a parking lot with a 24 hour Denny's Diner, that was not busy at all. The night waitress had an amazing personality. There seemed to be a pretty hoppin bar (least for a Weds) across street, named Molly's are something. I didn't go, but staying here, you do have social options. I came in a day early than reserved, as a stop over to Redding from LA. Bad planning, as I was more worried about getting up there to see family when Carr fires broke out. I arrived around 11pm and the check-in lady was so nice, sweet, and funny. She really helped me out with changing my mistaken reservation date and no extra charges. She even was concerned that I adjust my reservations in Redding, ASAP, so I'm not out of a place to stay. The room was nice, great shower, clean and the A/C was amazing. So much that I actually did to turn it down in 100+ degree weather! As some other people mentioned the sounds of hookers and crackheads, I saw or heard none of that. I will definitely make this a regular stop on any more trips to far north CA.

One of the worste motels ever. The place has hookers apparently that wake you up crying and screaming cause she says she locked her keys in car. I let her use the motel phone to call her so called friend. Then I get screamed and yelled at. Screw this place it's cheap for a reason not to mention the towels for bathing are like hand towels no service if staying more than one night and dam sure is no sleep here with the rift raft they allow here. That's why most motels have a security guard at night

Stayed at this hotel a few times and I was very pleased. The room itself met my expectations. I had no problems during any of my visits. Whenever i went in the front office, I was instantly helped, even when I had too call super late at night. I was always approached with care. Oh.. and the young man in the front desk was quite handsome!

Oh boy, I thought I was getting a good deal but I should have spent a few more dollars and stayed at a nicer motel. Don't get sucked in by the low price. I did not even feel safe while I was there and the dead bolt was broken on my door. I won't even go into the cleanliness or lack thereof.
