An Outstanding Virtual Escape Room Experience!We had an amazing time celebrating my 12-year-old son's birthday with a virtual escape room, and I can't recommend this experience enough! From start to finish, it was fun, engaging, and perfectly challenging for both kids and adults.The game was incredibly well-designed, keeping everyone on their toes with clever puzzles, exciting twists, and just the right balance of teamwork and problem-solving. The host was fantastic--enthusiastic, helpful, and made sure the birthday boy felt extra special throughout the experience!What makes this even better? This is a locally owned business--and supporting small businesses like this is so important. You can tell they put so much passion and creativity into what they do.If you're looking for a unique, high-energy, and hassle-free way to celebrate a birthday, this is it! Highly recommend for families, friends, or even team-building events. We'll definitely be back for another adventure!

I was looking for an escape room that would be available the same day since a lot of the other escape rooms always get booked really really fast. I came across this place and was very pleased with this type of VR escape room. It was a great experience. I never thought I would've loved an escape room that had to do with virtual reality. It was my 13 year-old son birthday and my little sister went with us as well. We had so much fun. We did the pirate escape room. The only thing with this escape room, the pirate one in specifics is that you will have to bend over to pick up items and objects and if you're wearing the backpack, it's very difficult and it's a workout so be prepared. Other than that, I'm excited to try the other escape rooms and excited to come back. What a great experience. If you're looking for something fun to do and you have some money to spend or you would like to do a date night this is a great place to bond, and have fun.

Came here with a group of 4 for their Runaway Train VR escape room and this was so much fun! The Runaway train is one of their harder rooms but we ended up finishing with plenty of time. We really enjoyed all of the puzzles and how it was mixed with some thrilling shooting action. Made for a very fun and interactive experience! If we lived closer to the area, we would 100% come back to do their other experiences!

Went here on Presidents Day 2025 to celebrate my nephew's birthday and had an amazing time! I've done several escape rooms before but never VR. The VR experience just takes it to the next level! The owners/gamemasters were super friendly and attentive to the needs of the players and guests. The facility and equipment were in great condition. Definitely recommend this experience! - Kris

I've generally enjoyed my experiences here, but unfortunately, this visit left me feeling disappointed. I attended an advanced virtual session, and the experience didn't meet my expectations. We were moved out of the initial room, which disrupted the flow, and overall, the session lacked the engaging puzzles I've enjoyed in the past. To make matters worse, the final part had some technical glitches, and we left the session with a headache. I always like the staff, but It wasn't the experience I had hoped for. :(

It's been over a year later and we still love this place! We've gone two more times. We played Pirate's Plague and Time Travel Paradox. Both were really fun and solvable. We also played LaserBots again. All of these trips were with three people. You should sign up for their email listing. I found out about good seasonal promos on gift cards. I ended up buying a gift card around the holidays. Yes, we really love this place! Great for a gift. I don't think I mentioned in the older review that they have props for your photo ops after the game. Don't be afraid to use hints if you're stuck. I don't think they time you or count hints against you. It's either you escaped or you didn't. Over the past year they've added the Western themed game and a new Ninja themed game. They also have extended versions of Space Tiberia and the Depths of Not-Atlantis. I love how there's so much variety in the games but they also stay for a while. Escape rooms are a pricy hobby. Around $40+ per person depending on the day. But I think Diablo Escapes is well worth it and a very unique escape room experience. I still haven't come across other VR escape rooms in the Bay Area.

I had a freaking ball!!! I took my son and his friend for my son's birthday and we loved it!! The only downfall was that the lady forgot to take pics of us

My family loves this place. The layout is really cool. The staff is awesome and the games are so much fun. A plethora of snacks and drinks in the lobby for either before or after the game. Lot's of free storage lockers for you belongings too.

We have been to this escape room twice. Once as a family and once for a group of boys for a bday. Both times were so much fun!! The staff was very patient and responsive to questions and making sure the equipment was working and comfortable. Will definitely go again!

I had no idea there was a VR gaming place let alone Escape Room in Walnut Creek. And it's so awesome that it's a VR Escape Room. This was so much fun. I definitely plan to come back.
