Meals are fantastic! Price is reasonable for the amount of food you get! You will either be over stuffed or walking out the door with a doggy bag! The restaurants name is spot on! Their food IS DELICIOUS !I've only been for breakfast and brunch, and never disappointed. Omelets, delish, French toast, scrumptious, Eggs Benedict, DELICIOSO! Their fresh brewed coffee is also amazing! I'm very particular with my coffee. Atmosphere is very pleasant for such a small eatery. Staff very friendly. Advise all to make a reservation as they are quite busy, especially on the weekends. I've not been for dinner, but I've friends who have and they have nothing but 5 star ratings for their dinner menu! One of Modesto's best kept little secrets.

I love supporting a locally owned business. I've been here three times now and each time the food is superior and fresh. What I don't love is that the menu is constantly changing, so if you fall in love with something, it may not be there next time. Sigh. The place is small and quaint, offering a small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Where I dinged a star was on the service. Each and every time I've been here, there is only one waitress and the service is horribly slow. Tonight there was only one other table of 4 ppl in the whole place but we had to wait to be seated. Then it took 20+ minutes to get our food once we ordered. So service is the area that needs more attention. Over three visits I've had the crepes, the torta sandwich and the chicken piccata- all amazing!

We visited Delicioso as a party of four for Sunday brunch, eager to enjoy their creative menu. While our experience had some highlights, it was overshadowed by a disappointing incident. The Crispy Panko Chicken Crepe was outstanding--perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. I would rate it a 5/5. However, the modified Milanesa Torta was a complete letdown. We had requested no meat, but the chef removed not only the meat but also the cheese, salsa, and chipotle mayo, leaving us with a basic and flavorless sandwich. This modification reduced the dish to something unrecognizable and unworthy of its $19 price tag. When we brought this to the server's attention, we were still charged the full amount, which was incredibly disappointing. This lack of accommodation and attention to detail left a negative impression on an otherwise promising experience. While the crepe might bring us back, the handling of the Milanesa Torta was unacceptable and needs improvement.

Not realizing I tried this place once before, nearly a year ago via Doordash, my wife and I found ourselves dining in for brunch. I gave 3/5 stars back then, and it was the burritos we had back then with a limited menu choice. This time, it was brunch, and the menu was vast. This was our first time dining in and the second time trying the food, as explained above, with Doordash. So, it took a little time to get through the menu.My wife ended up choosing the Chilaquiles (3.5/5) that had an asada and Chorizo mixture that she omitted and had put on the side. The menu gave no options for choice of protein (i.e., grilled chicken breast). I had her put it on the side so that I could try it. She said she liked the Chilaquiles flavor but thought it "was put together or seemed simple and that anyone could have put that together."I chose the $35 "Country Fry Steak" as it is listed on the menu (1/5). Chicken fried steak, country fried steak...tomato tomahhto, it's all the same, or so I thought. BTW, most items on the menu have a mexican flare to them, as did my "country fry steak." Served with hash browns, a salsa verde and toast. Okay, I am down to try staples with a twist. Well, BIG MISTAKE! The steak was breaded with bread crumbs and not the country/chicken fried batter this dish is known for. If you like chicken or country fried steak, you're probably saying Ewww to yourself right now. After trying to force myself through half of it, I just could not eat anymore. The service consisted of two young wait people splitting the time attending our table. Both young females and one clearly younger and a little less experienced than the other. I could not tell you their names because neither introduced themselves. The younger of the two was visibly impatient with us taking a few extra minutes with the menu. She arrived within 2 minutes of us being seated and 2 more times roughly 4 minutes apart. Mind you, the place was not busy at all. Then the slightly older, second wait person arrived and asked if we were ready to order. We were not but I said "two more minutes please." She returned in two minutes and we ordered. All said and done, from being seated to ordering took about 15 minutes. Neither wait persons were rude, but they were not very attentive. When the elder of the two finally did come back when we were finished eating, to ask how the everything was, I told her about my meal and her face went from a smile to one of concern. She said "she was very sorry" and walked away presumably to tally our check. Now I don't know about you, but any restaurant that I have gone to and didn't like the food, the wait person would ask if their was anything else on the menu I would like to try. That didn't happen here. Or, they would grab the manager to come to the table to see if their was a way to rectify the problem which usually ended with removal of that item from the bill. That didn't happen here and if the manager/owner would have come over to the table to offer to remove it from the bill, I would have politely refused. After all, I ate half of the NOT Country Fried Steak. The price point at this place is a bit steep, but over the years anytime I have been comped on a meal at minimum that becomes the wait person tip. If the service is great, the tip is the comped meal price PLUS the going percentage rate for tips. That didn't happen here. I left a $5 tip on an $81 bill. I believe in tipping and I was planning on spending that money anyways at that establishment. Why leave the rest of the day open with bad vibes due to a bad experience? Btw there were a few other items we ordered not mentioned. When my wife and I go out to eat at a new place, we often order a few items just to try them. When asked if we would like the rest to go it was a unanimous "no thank you." There just seems to be something incomplete about this place. No condiments, no salt/pepper shakers. You know, the things you would see in every breakfast brunch restaurant. I mean when I asked for ketchup for my hash browns, it came in packets. The service however friendly seems unrefined. As much as I try not to give 1/5 stars, there were just too many things wrong/incomplete.My wife said, "Maybe I just expect too much?" To which I responded, If I am spending alot of money I do expect alot." If a restaurant is going to charge $35 for a "Country Fry Steak," it better be good at a minimum. "Just okay," is not an acceptable bar to reach. I don't get angry when I have an experience like this and write about it like am now. My hope is the owners and staff read it and can take some things away from this review...and do better.

On Saturday Feb 15, I had the eggs Benedict Latino and my friend the chile relleno Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious. The service was wonderful. We enjoyed eating on the patio. I am definitely returning with my husband to try new dishes.

Delicioso Bristo has some passionately delicious food. I mean that. The Crepe I had gave me tears on the inside. The chicken and waffles was unique and to die for. Last the Hay Hay Quesadilla. Loaded, but a put a bit dry. I had to ask for some sauce.Which brings me to the customer service. It was a 3.5 for me. I had to keep asking for stuff and they would say wait. There was only 3 people dinning so I expect just more tentative service especially from a bistro. But I'm sure it could just be me overthinking lol I'm Definitely going to become a regular at Delicioso Bristo.

3% Credit Card Usage Charge?!?! TF? Visited this place for the first time and my emotions are mixed. We ordered the Avocado toast and the asada Cobb salad. Avocado Toast 5/10 - i know every restaurant has their own take on avocado toast but the one here seem a bit skimpy on the avocado. It almost felt like they were cutting corners and just used one side of an avocado. I can see why they give you a cup of fruit to mask how small of a portion of avocado they give you.Toast was good. All other toppings were just okay. Nothing special. Asada Cobb salad8/10Simple Cobb salad with asada. Taste was good and portion was fair. Asada portion was fair. Customer service: 6.9/10 Customer service in all restaurants should be at a high level especially since it's a bistro. I ordered a bigger glass of water since they give you kids size cups and so they wouldn't have to filling up our cup constantly. I was never given a bigger cup and when I mentioned it to the waitress towards the end she was upset and said she had 10 other tables to attend to as well. Sorry you lack task management skill.Closing remarks ***Convenience Fee** This location charges credit card user a 3% fee. Disappointing if you ask me giving that the customer service dropped the ball yet still wanted to charge a credit card fee. Final verdict: 6.7/10 If one owns a restaurant big or small all parts of it should be top tier if they want returning customers. You might have good food but if your employees get upset easily over their own fault on not keeping track of their tables then maybe that's not the right job for them. More than anything charging a 3% service charge for credit card users is more of a " inconvenience fee". For those about to bash on me check your pockets and see if you have cash readily available every so often and let me know if being upset over a 3% credit card fee isn't justified.

We went Sunday morning at 9:30. There were only 6 customers seated. We waited in the doorway for 5 minutes and finally the server acknowledged our presence and told us that there would be a 10 minute wait. There were at least 5 open tables inside and many more outside. The owner is trying to run this place on a shoestring and it shows. He needs to hire more help if he wants to stay in business. We left and went to Harvest Moon for a great breakfast and wonderful service.
