As I am a previous resident of Stockton I know there are a limited amount of quality and classy restaurants here. Well De Vega Brothers has great food that is affordable, served in a pleasant environment with professional service.I normally work remote however whenever I report to my office in this complex I always smell the yummy food coming from the restaurant. When ever we have a special occasion, retirement, promotion or birthday we normally make a reservation at this nearby place. The menu has a wide variety of pasta dishes , entrees, salads and soups. The garlic bread that we always smell when walking by is delicious as well. The ambiance is classy yet comfortable, with a full bar which unfortunately I can never partake in due to attending during work hours. The service has always been prompt and professional which I appreciate especially when you are with a group. Highly recommend for great tasting Italian food served with a smile!

The restaurant industry can be a very turbulent business. There are a multitude of examples where it would flourish at times only for the business itself to diminish due to a lack of sales, higher prices in the product quality of the food, or poor business decisions that would harm a small company. In the case of this particular restaurant, I would have to say that my hopes and anticipation for coming out to eat at this establishment were quite lackluster, to say the least. Allow me to explain as I go through the process of how my experience came into this restaurant only to be met with utter disappointment.Just recently, my fiancee and I, booked a reservation for two on Valentine's Day in the evening to celebrate our fourth year anniversary together. The restaurant was about seventy-five percent at capacity, however, instead of giving us a table somewhere around the window they provided us a seat at the very far back end corner of the room. Service was about what you expected after we were seated it took one of the waitresses over thirty minutes before we were able to place our order for both drinks and entrees as they were shoving buttered bread baskets on more than one occasion. Now credit to where credit is due, the meals themselves were quite exceptional as the crab cakes for our appetizers were crunchy with delight and smooth and creamy on the inside, my fiancee's veal was exceptionally flavorful with the right amount of tenderness, and my lamb chops were a little dry but tolerable for my meaty appetite. Before our entrees were received, we were asked for a choice of either soup and/or salad to go with our plate and we both accepted as my fiancee ordered the clam chowder and I ordered the Greek salad. To both of our dismay, those meals never came to our tables. When it was time to pay the bill, no one came back to our table to give us our check for the evening, to which, I had to pay the check over at their bar counter as we were ready to leave over fifteen minutes ago. While the food itself may have been exceptional, the service itself was quite disappointing and there could be room for improvement if I were to ever come back to this establishment.

Came for a bday dinner really early after work about 3:30 and it was empty in here. We did make reservations. For a party of 6 be prepared to pay a gratuity of 18%.. price range from $20-$55 for an entree. Food wasn't very spectacular everything was mediocre or did not taste good. The best thing was probably the garlic bread. I got the Greek chicken and tri tip combo for about $36 you get a choice of side salad or soup and Choice of side which is a pasta of your Choice or garlic mashed potatoes that came with a mushroomSauce. Looked like the same sauce for the chicken Marsala. Probably preferred my Garlic mashed potatoes without it but we didn't know it came with it. The chicken tasted good not dry but very thin piece. The tri tips were like beef jerky thin and not cooked to my liking i ordered it medium rare and it was well done. To burnt for my liking and chewy. It's a sweet marinade so want expecting that flavor. My co workers filet minon was over cooked and very dry. She barely ate it. Everyone didn't want to bother to ask to send it back to have the meat re made. The place looks pretty empty. And the service was ok the gentleman was very nice. I think he was the only waiter at the time. They did sing happy bday to our Dr. with a tiramisu which was nice. But it didn't taste that good. Probably wouldn't come back or recommend. I would eat somewhere else for the price you pay!

Went here a few days ago but just now getting around to my review. Raul the bartender is fabulous! Very friendly and makes great drinks too! All the regulars at the bar adore him! The food was good. Portions are rather small. I attended a work Christmas party. It was advertised as $35 a person for chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes, seasonal veggies, salad (an amazingly delicious dinner salad) bread, and a non alcoholic beverage. All this and it included tax and chip seemed like a reasonable price. The potions were smaller and felt more like a lunch size portion. We were given water with lemon and cucumber as our "non alcoholic beverage "! That was tacky, should have not even said we got a non alcoholic beverage as water is served on all tables free of charge. This was not a huge deal for me as I was drinking adult beverages from the bar but others from my job who don't drink alcohol were very disappointed. They charge $2 a person if you bring cake inside so we opted to not but they did let us brings cookies and didn't charge us for doing so. Parking is challenging and I would not recommend visiting here if walking is a concern for you. The distance from parking to door is quite significant. This is a local family owned business which I love to support small local businesses! I do recommend this place but with the caveat that you ask lots of questions and get a solid understanding of exactly what is included in the group pricing rate.

Great Lunch. From Manteca to March Lane to Pacific Av. I've been going to De Vega Brothers 25 years. Where else can you get Ahi Tuna Brushetta? To die for. Great venue, presentation of food. Service always friendly and prompt. Pricey? You get what you pay for! I highly recommend!

My sister and I had dinner at De Vega Brothers on Christmas Eve. Everything was exceptional. The food, the atmosphere, the drinks and the staff. Our waiter, Raul, was so friendly and welcoming. He was a sweetheart. The brucetta was delicious and my rib eye steak was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Several staff wished us Merry Christmas as we were leaving. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.

My family of five sat outside and were served by two very friendly and attentive servers. When the menus arrived I thought the prices were a bit on the high side but since it has been a while since we are good Italian food that we wouldn't let the prices bother us. It will still be a while before we get to eat really good Italian food. The calamari was not fresh. I'm thinking these are the type that are bought premade and simply thrown in the deep fryer. Like the type you can get at Sam's club. The kids fries and chicken tasted like dirty oil. The chicken pasta I had was ok. A little underwhelming. I hate to say this but both Macaroni grill and Olive Garden out does this restaurant hands down. But again, servers were so sweet and friendly.

This fine dining restaurant is a favorite of our family in addition to having a sentimental attachment as it was also a FAVE of my Dad's who passed in 2021. I cannot sing enough praises of the owners and staff's talent and skill for taking excellent care of their customers. The menu is extensive and the food high quality and always excellently presented. Their salads are always fresh, convenient to eat and colorful. The ambiance is superb and just adds to our enjoyment. Joann, Hector, Rafael and the team are giants in this industry and we are so blessed to have this state of the art dining establishment in our city. Thank you, De Vega, from the bottom of our hearts.
